Overview

SEOPress covers keyword research, rank tracking, site audits, backlink analysis and competitor research, with API access. The product was founded in 2018 and is headquartered in Morcenx-la-Nouvelle, France. Its pricing is freemium, but the platform designation is API, so buyers seeking a broader platform mix should compare alternatives before committing.

Key features

SEO research and analysis: Keyword research, backlink analysis and competitor research address discovery and evaluation, while site audits can help identify site-level issues.
Rank tracking: Tracking is part of the offering, but the stated 50 tracked keywords makes the Insights plan a modest fit for a site with a focused keyword set rather than broad portfolio monitoring.
API access: API access is useful for teams that want programmatic integration. It does not change the API-only platform designation, which may be limiting for buyers who expect a wider platform footprint.
Separate AI credits: Monthly credit plans allow buyers to scale AI usage independently of the annual site-license tiers. The credit quota is the key choice between them.

Pricing

The free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and covers unlimited sites. That is an unusually broad site allowance for a no-cost starting point, though the free plan’s other limits are not part of its stated terms.

SEOPress PRO — 1 site: 49.00 USD per year, renewing at the same price, excluding VAT. It is the entry paid option for a single site.
SEOPress PRO — 5 sites: 59.00 USD per year, renewing at the same price, excluding VAT. For just 10 USD more per year than the one-site tier, it is the more economical fit when managing two to five sites.
SEOPress PRO — Unlimited sites: 149.00 USD per year, renewing at the same price, excluding VAT. It suits operators with more than five sites who prefer one license tier over managing several site allowances.
SEOPress Insights: 99.00 USD per year, excluding VAT, for one site and 50 tracked keywords. This is a defined, compact monitoring allowance; teams tracking more terms should not assume it will cover a broad SEO program.
AI Credits — Starter: 19.00 USD per month, renewing at the same price, excluding VAT, with 400,000 AI Credits and unlimited sites.
AI Credits — Pro: 29.00 USD per month, renewing at the same price, excluding VAT, with 1,500,000 AI Credits and unlimited sites. It is a substantial quota increase over Starter for a 10 USD monthly step-up.
AI Credits — Business: 49.00 USD per month, renewing at the same price, excluding VAT, with 5,000,000 AI Credits and unlimited sites. It is the highest stated quota for teams with heavier monthly credit needs.

The pricing structure separates site counts, keyword tracking and credit usage, which lets buyers pay for the relevant dimension. It also means costs can accumulate when a team needs both a site license and separate Insights or AI Credits; the credit plans’ unlimited-site allowance does not replace the other plan terms.

Platforms

SEOPress is listed for API. That can fit teams integrating through an API, but buyers requiring other platform options should weigh that constraint alongside the feature set.

Who it's for

SEOPress is a sensible shortlist choice for consultants or teams handling multiple sites, particularly those starting with the unlimited-site free tier or needing a predictable annual PRO allowance. Insights is better suited to a single site with a 50-keyword tracking scope. The separate AI-credit tiers may fit teams that can estimate monthly usage and want unlimited sites under the credit subscription.

It is less suitable for teams whose work depends on tracking far more than 50 keywords under Insights or on a wider listed platform mix. Buyers should also account for VAT exclusion and the possibility of stacking separate subscriptions.

Pros and cons

Pro: The free plan covers unlimited sites, making it a practical starting point for people managing several properties.
Pro: The 5-site PRO tier is only 10 USD per year above the one-site tier, a small price difference for teams that need multiple licenses.
Pro: Annual site plans and monthly AI-credit tiers separate license needs from usage needs.
Con: Insights is limited to one site and 50 tracked keywords, which can constrain broader monitoring.
Con: The listed platform footprint is API only, narrowing its fit for buyers looking for other platform options.
Con: VAT is excluded, and separate Insights or AI-credit purchases can add to the site-license cost.

Alternatives

SEO tools is a broader category to compare when you want to assess options beyond SEOPress.

Verdict

Choose SEOPress if you manage multiple sites and value an unlimited-site free tier, with the option to add a defined PRO license, 50-keyword Insights plan or monthly AI-credit quota. Its strongest reason to shortlist is that modular pricing lets you match spend to site count and usage. Look elsewhere if you need a broader platform footprint or Insights’ 50 tracked keywords will not cover your monitoring needs.
