Overview

Autify is an AI-powered testing platform with two distinct products: Aximo for natural-language test execution and Nexus for AI-assisted, Playwright-based test authoring. It is best suited to teams that want to reduce test scripting while retaining a path to editable Playwright code; the split between products and plans makes it important to match the workflow to the right tier.

Its scope spans web, mobile, desktop, email, and visual regression, with hybrid execution. Aximo emphasizes autonomous runs from plain-English scenarios, while Nexus connects test creation to product requirements and a native Playwright workflow.

Key features

Aximo: describe a test, then run it

Aximo takes a plain-English scenario and autonomously navigates and executes it end to end. Its product coverage names iOS, Android, Windows, and macOS, but desktop app testing is Enterprise-only. Teams evaluating lower tiers should not treat the platform list as a promise of desktop access.

The free Aximo plan supplies 2,000 one-time credits with no expiration and concurrency for one web and one mobile run. That is a useful starting point for occasional work, but the single-run limits and finite credit pool constrain sustained or parallel testing. Core and Team increase credits and concurrency for teams with recurring workloads.

Nexus: AI assistance without giving up Playwright

Nexus combines a natural-language recorder, test-case generation from product requirements, and AI assistance when locators change. Jira and Figma can provide requirements, and the open API can connect CI/CD tools. Native Playwright support and editable script export make Nexus a more natural fit for teams that want AI-assisted creation without locking test scenarios away from code.

The free trial is a local-only mode for one month: users can create and execute tests locally, but there is no cloud access and AI features are not enabled by default. That offers a way to assess the local workflow, not a substitute for the paid cloud and generative features. Nexus paid users can contact Intercom support, with Autify stating it can respond within 24 hours.

Security and deployment

Autify lists ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and SOC 2 Type 2 certifications and describes organizational and technical safeguards for information assets, including prompt incident response. Aximo Free, Core, and Team are hosted on Autify’s cloud; on-premises deployment is reserved for Enterprise. Nexus Enterprise also includes on-prem testing, while Aximo Enterprise can use on-premises or dedicated infrastructure. Teams with infrastructure constraints should account for the Enterprise boundary before committing to a lower tier.

Pricing

Autify uses a freemium model, with paid plans starting at $99/mo (annual) and a 14-day trial. The products have separate pricing structures and the headline starting price applies to Aximo Core, not Nexus Professional.

Plan	Price and terms	What it fits
Aximo Individual User	0.00 USD per free (billed $0); 2,000 credits, one-time with no expiration; concurrency of 1 web and 1 mobile; cloud hosted.	Individual evaluation or occasional runs, not ongoing high-volume work.
Aximo Core	99.00 USD per month (billed $99 / month billed annually; $120 / month billed monthly); 72,000 annual credits or 6,000 monthly credits; concurrency of 5 web and 2 mobile; cloud hosted.	Recurring workloads that need more credits and parallelism than the free tier.
Aximo Team	450.00 USD per month (billed $450 / month billed annually; $550 / month billed monthly); 360,000 annual credits or 30,000 monthly credits; concurrency of 20 web and 5 mobile; cloud hosted.	Teams with higher throughput requirements; still cloud hosted and without desktop app testing.
Aximo Enterprise	Custom pricing.	Custom annual credits and concurrency, with on-premises or dedicated infrastructure.
Nexus Free Tier	0.00 USD per free (billed No Cost); 1 user; local environment and test execution; unlimited tests and scenarios; no cloud parallelism, shared remote workspace, GenAI, or IP whitelisting.	Single-user local evaluation; the exclusions make it a poor fit for shared, AI-assisted cloud testing.
Nexus Professional	3600.00 USD per year (billed Starts At $3,600 / year; starts at $400 / month); 1 user, 1 shared workspace, generative AI, Intercom support, and Playwright code export/import.	A single user who needs cloud collaboration, AI features, and portable Playwright code.
Nexus Enterprise	Custom pricing.	Customizable users, shared workspaces, and cloud parallels, plus on-prem testing, IP whitelisting, and enterprise support.

The low-cost entry points involve clear trade-offs: Aximo Free is credit-limited and offers minimal concurrency, while Nexus Free is local-only and excludes default AI and cloud collaboration. Aximo monthly billing costs more than annual billing, and neither Nexus paid tier nor either Enterprise tier is positioned as a low-cost alternative to Core.

Platforms

Autify’s platform coverage includes Android, iOS, macOS, self-hosted, web, and Windows, alongside API support. The stated testing scope also includes email and visual regression. Framework support includes Playwright, Selenium, and Cypress, and the platform offers AI test generation, self-healing tests, and AI defect analysis. Parallel runs are stated as 5; plan-specific concurrency differs for Aximo, so teams should distinguish that general execution figure from the web and mobile concurrency included in individual Aximo tiers.

Who it's for

Choose Aximo if the priority is translating natural-language scenarios into autonomous end-to-end runs, and the team is comfortable with credit-based usage and cloud hosting below Enterprise. Choose Nexus if Playwright portability, AI-assisted authoring, or requirements drawn from Jira and Figma matter more. Teams needing desktop app testing, on-premises deployment, or enterprise controls should budget for Enterprise; teams needing only local tests can start with Nexus Free, but should expect no cloud or default AI features.

Pros and cons

Pros: Aximo’s plain-English execution can reduce manual scenario scripting, and its free credits do not expire.
Pros: Nexus combines test generation and locator assistance with editable Playwright scripts, preserving a code-based path.
Pros: Jira and Figma requirement sources, an open API for CI/CD connections, and recognized security certifications make it relevant to existing team workflows and security reviews.
Cons: Desktop testing and on-premises deployment sit behind Enterprise, limiting the practical value of broad platform coverage for teams on cheaper plans.
Cons: Aximo’s free allowance is one-time and concurrency is only one web and one mobile run; higher usage means paid credits.
Cons: Nexus Free is local-only, single-user, and lacks cloud parallelism and default generative AI, so it cannot demonstrate the full paid workflow.
Cons: Nexus Professional starts at $3,600 / year for one user, making its Playwright and AI features a substantial commitment for an individual seat.

testRigor offers a public open-source plan, which suits teams able to make tests and results public.
iHarmony AI is another free option.
UiPath Test Cloud may suit teams comparing a freemium testing platform with a Standard plan that has no usage caps.
ACCELQ is an alternative for teams evaluating web, mobile, and API automation.

Verdict

Autify is a strong fit for teams choosing between natural-language execution and AI-assisted Playwright authoring, especially when those workflows can map cleanly to Aximo or Nexus. Its central advantage is combining autonomous test creation with a route back to editable code; its central drawback is that desktop coverage, on-premises deployment, and some Nexus collaboration features require higher-cost plans. Choose it when those boundaries match your stack and budget, and look elsewhere if desktop or self-hosted use must be available below Enterprise.
