Overview

Ui.Vision RPA combines browser and desktop automation, scraping, and UI testing in a cross-platform package. It suits teams that want visual macro creation alongside scripts and local desktop control. Its breadth is a strong fit for adaptable workflows, but hosted AI processing and a key Enterprise Player restriction call for care.

Key features

Workflows can start with visual recording or use Selenium-style commands, computer vision, OCR, and a JavaScript automation API. That range accommodates quick recorded tasks as well as more tailored browser and desktop workflows, scraping, and UI testing. XModules extend the browser extension with native mouse and keyboard input, desktop application automation, and local file access on Windows, macOS, and Linux.

The built-in AI assistant can inspect a live page, create reusable macros, run them, and help repair failures. Users can choose Ui.Vision’s hosted AI, Anthropic, OpenRouter, or a local OpenAI-compatible model. An MCP bridge connects compatible assistants such as Claude Code, Claude Desktop, OpenAI Codex, Cursor, and VS Code to macros. The command-line API also enables connections to Jenkins and Cucumber and to C#, Python, and PowerShell, making the tool more useful in scripted pipelines than a browser-only recorder.

Macros run locally, but hosted AI sends chat content and included page data or screenshots to the chosen service for processing. Ui.Vision says this content is not stored. A local model keeps that processing on the machine, a better fit when page content should not leave the device.

Pricing

The Free Edition costs 0.00 USD per free and permits personal and commercial use, with unlimited web and desktop automation and forum support. It is a useful starting point for automation itself, but support is limited to the forum.

Ui.Vision AI PRO costs 11.90 EUR per month, billed €11.90 per month at an introductory price, 50% off. It provides 10x the free plan’s AI processing limits, the same assistant and commands, local macro replay, and cancellation at any time. This is the targeted option for users who need more AI processing rather than a different automation feature set.

PRO Edition costs 299.00 USD per year, billed US$299.00 /Year. It includes unlimited web and desktop automation plus forum and email support, making it the paid fit for users who want direct email help. Enterprise Edition costs 999.00 USD per year, billed US$999+ /Year, and adds update management and priority email, remote screen sharing, and phone/chat support. Enterprise Player licenses cannot create new macros and include 10,000 OCR conversions per day per license, a consequential limit for teams expecting each licensed player to author workflows.

Platforms

The extension supports Chrome, Edge, and Firefox. XModules provide desktop automation on Windows, macOS, and Linux, while the listed platform footprint also includes web and API. Deployment is hybrid, with attended and unattended automation and document processing supported.

Who it's for

Ui.Vision is a good fit for builders who need browser and desktop workflows in one tool, particularly where local file access, OCR, visual automation, or scripting connections matter. Teams can choose hosted AI for convenience or a local model for on-machine processing. It is less suitable when enterprise player licenses need to create macros or when hosted AI processing is not acceptable and a local model is not an option.

Pros and cons

Pros: Multiple workflow methods—from visual recording to JavaScript—support both quick macros and customized automation.
Pros: XModules add desktop input and local file access across Windows, macOS, and Linux, extending automation beyond browser pages.
Pros: AI provider choice, an MCP bridge, and command-line connections make it adaptable to different assistants and scripting environments.
Cons: Hosted AI processes chat content and included page data or screenshots through the selected service; teams with stricter data boundaries must use local AI.
Cons: Enterprise Player licenses cannot create macros, and their daily OCR quota is 10,000 conversions per license.
Cons: Free Edition support is forum-only, so users who need email or higher-touch help must move to a paid plan.

Verdict

Choose Ui.Vision if you need browser and desktop automation with multiple build methods, local machine access, and links to scripts or AI assistants. Its main advantage is flexibility across those workflows; look elsewhere if Enterprise Player users must author macros or if the AI processing model does not meet your data requirements.
