Overview

Autopilot brings lead capture, scheduling, customer messaging, payments, reviews, and follow-ups into a workflow aimed at local service companies. That breadth can reduce the need to stitch together separate tools for booking, estimates, invoicing, and customer contact. Its feature set also reaches dispatch, time tracking, reporting, and online booking, so it covers work from the first inquiry through post-job follow-up.

The platform makes the most sense for home-service operators who need both office-side customer management and field-side job execution. Businesses seeking only a lightweight booking tool may find its broader CRM and communications package more than they need, while teams with multiple locations can discuss the Enterprise Plan.

Key features

Jobs and payments

Scheduling, dispatch, estimates with online approval, invoicing, online booking, and payment processing bring core service operations together. Tap to Pay and card readers give Run a way to take payment alongside invoicing, while time tracking and time cards in Grow add labor records for teams managing field work. Equipment tracking, route optimization, and crew scheduling are also part of the product’s capabilities.

Customer contact

Automated job and estimate texts are included in Run. Grow adds a two-way text inbox and a full phone system with recording, plus Review Guard for review follow-up. This makes the upgrade relevant once one-way reminders are no longer enough and staff need a shared channel for customer conversations.

Mobile and desktop work

The iPhone and Android apps support jobs, scheduling, GPS, calls, texts, payments, photos, and time tracking, which puts practical field tasks on mobile. Native Mac and Windows desktop apps handle business calls and texts, complementing the mobile workflow for office staff.

Integrations and AI

Scale adds an AI Receptionist that answers calls around the clock and includes 300 receptionist minutes monthly. It also adds AI Call Summaries, QuickBooks integration, Zapier, and an open API with webhooks. Direct integrations include Stripe, QuickBooks, Google Ads, Google Business Profile, Google Calendar, Google Local Services Ads, Facebook Ads, and Bing Ads; Zapier connects Autopilot with more than 9,000 apps. The integration depth is strongest at Scale, so teams that need API access or those named connectors should factor that tier into the budget.

Pricing

Autopilot is paid, with plans starting at $49.00 USD per month. Each plan starts with a free two-week trial, and customers can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time. There is no free plan.

Plan	Price	Included and best fit
Run	$49.00 USD per month	One user; scheduling, jobs and dispatch, estimates with online approval, invoicing, Tap to Pay and card readers, an online booking page, and automated job and estimate texts. A practical starting tier for a solo operator who needs core job and payment workflows.
Grow	$119.00 USD per month	Three users; everything in Run, plus two-way texting, a recorded phone system, time tracking and time cards, and Review Guard. It fits a small team that needs shared customer communications and time records; the higher price buys those operational additions, not API access.
Scale	$299.00 USD per month	Eight users; everything in Grow, plus AI Receptionist and call summaries, Zapier and open API with webhooks, QuickBooks integration, live GPS tracking, and monthly allowances of 1,500 VoIP minutes, 1,500 SMS messages, 100 SMS blast sends, 1,000 email sends, and 300 receptionist minutes. Best for larger teams that need integrations, call handling, and location visibility, provided the allowances suit their volume.

Additional users cost $29/month per user. Scale’s minute and message allowances make usage a budget consideration: overages are charged at listed rates, so businesses with high call, text, blast, or email volume should check expected consumption before committing. The included-user counts also mean teams beyond the plan limit need to account for added seats.

Platforms

Autopilot supports Android, iOS, macOS, web, Windows, and an API. The combination covers mobile field crews, desktop calling and texting, browser access, and integrations for software teams that want to connect systems through the API.

Who it's for

Autopilot is best suited to home-service businesses that want customer management and field-service execution in a connected product, particularly teams using online bookings, estimates, dispatch, payments, and follow-up messages. Small businesses can begin with one or three included users, while Scale targets operators needing broader integration, AI call handling, or live GPS. It is a weaker fit for businesses that require a free tier or expect to exceed Scale’s communications allowances without first understanding the overage cost.

Pros and cons

Broad service workflow: Scheduling, dispatch, estimates, invoicing, booking, payments, and follow-ups are combined, reducing the need to coordinate these functions across separate products.
Useful field coverage: Mobile apps include GPS, payments, photos, calls, texts, and time tracking, supporting more than basic calendar access.
Integration depth at Scale: Open API, webhooks, Zapier, QuickBooks, and 300 receptionist minutes are meaningful for teams with connected systems or high call-handling needs.
No permanent free tier: Even the entry plan costs $49.00 USD per month after the two-week trial, which may not suit a small operator seeking a no-cost starting point.
Usage can add cost: Scale’s included minutes and messaging quotas can be exceeded, and additional users are $29/month each.
Key connectivity is tiered up: The open API, Zapier integration, and QuickBooks integration appear in Scale, making that plan a substantial step up from Run or Grow for integration-focused teams.

Alternatives

For specialized service categories, compare Snow Removal Software, Tree Service Software, and Junk Removal Software lists.

LayCor is worth comparing if unlimited users and bookings on its $49/month Starter plan matter more than Autopilot’s bundled CRM and field-service workflow.
Lawn Snow App is an option for operators who prioritize a free plan over Autopilot’s paid entry point.
CrewNest suits teams wanting to start on a free plan, with its free tier capped at three estimates a month, ten satellite measurements, 50 SMS messages, and one user.
Plowdesk may suit snow operators looking for a free tier with unlimited users and customers, up to three storm routes, manual notifications, and Venmo payment tracking.
Snow Removal CRM by ServeHub is a free-plan alternative with estimates, contracts, jobs, invoices, card payments, unlimited team, and an AI website build.
Pinstripe Fleet is another freemium option to compare.
CrewTracker is a paid, property-count-based alternative, with its 1–75 Properties plan priced at $200 per month.
FieldBased is worth considering when a lower paid starting price is important: its Starter plan is $29/month for one user, 1,000 emails monthly, and a 1% card fee.

Verdict

Choose Autopilot if a home-service business wants customer management and field operations in one product, with mobile tools for crews and a path to API integrations, AI call handling, and GPS as it scales. Its main advantage is the span from lead and booking through payment and follow-up. Look elsewhere if a free plan is essential, or carefully compare expected calls, texts, and seats before choosing Scale, since allowances and extra-user charges can change the operating cost.
