Overview

Bambuser is a video commerce platform for retailers that want live, shoppable and consultation experiences inside their digital storefronts. It suits teams investing in video-led shopping across web, apps or social channels; the main trade-off is that view caps and higher-tier access can make costs and capabilities scale quickly with deployment needs.

Its formats range from live and on-demand shopping to short-form buyable video and face-to-face product guidance. The company was founded in 2007 and is headquartered in Stockholm.

Key features

Video commerce formats

Live Shopping supports streams or recorded content across websites, apps and social channels, giving retailers flexibility to reuse content as well as broadcast live. Shoppable Video turns social posts, live shows, user-generated content and campaigns into short clips shoppers can buy from. Video Consultation adds drop-in and pre-booked calls for individualized product advice. These formats make Bambuser broader than a livestream-only tool, but teams seeking native social checkout should look elsewhere: it is not supported.

Commerce and developer connections

Bambuser documents support for Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Adobe Commerce (Magento) and BigCommerce; its consultation product can connect directly to CRMs such as Salesforce. Product catalog sync is supported. Self-serve REST APIs support bespoke scaling and automation, while mobile SDK access is reserved for Pro and Enterprise, a meaningful constraint for teams building custom mobile experiences on lower tiers.

Security and hosting

Bambuser says its Stockholm site is ISO 27001 certified, covering its information security management system. It describes least-privilege role-based access, regular production-access reviews and multifactor authentication for critical systems. Its cloud infrastructure runs on Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services.

Pricing

Bambuser has a free plan and paid plans from 79.00 USD per month, billed annually. The view allowance is a central cost constraint: excess views are charged at $0.25 each, and upgrading can increase the monthly allowance.

Plan	Price and limits	Best fit
Free	0.00 USD per free; 250 views per month, 2 users, 1 domain/market, 10 GB storage and AI chat support.	A small team evaluating a limited deployment, provided 250 monthly views are enough.
Essential	79.00 USD per month, billed annually at $948.00; 2,000 views per month, 3 users, 1 domain/market, 100 GB storage, AI chat support, content license protection and guided onboarding.	A single-market retailer ready to pay for more capacity and onboarding, but not needing mobile SDK access or human support.
Pro	249.00 USD per month, billed annually at $2988.00; custom usage and viewing plans, 10+ users, 1+ domains/markets, 1000+ GB storage, accessible human support, content license protection, fully white labeled, mobile SDK and SSO login.	Growing or multi-market teams that need branded experiences, mobile SDKs, SSO or human support.
Enterprise	Custom pricing, billed yearly; custom usage and viewing plans, 10+ users, 1+ domains/markets, 1000+ GB storage, dedicated customer manager, content license protection, fully white labeled, guided onboarding, mobile SDK and SSO login.	Global merchants seeking tailored usage and a dedicated customer manager.

Free and Essential both cap users and views and rely on AI chat support. Essential raises the monthly view allowance and storage, but still limits the account to three users and one domain/market. Pro moves to custom viewing plans and adds substantial team, market and storage headroom, while Enterprise adds a dedicated customer manager. No trial duration is specified.

Platforms

Bambuser supports Android, iOS, web and API access. Its mobile SDK is limited to Pro and Enterprise, so platform availability alone does not mean every plan supports custom mobile development.

Who it's for

Bambuser is best suited to retailers that want to combine video shopping with product guidance and can justify a recurring, view-based platform budget. Free is a narrow starting point; Essential fits small deployments, while teams needing multiple markets, broader user access, SSO or mobile SDKs should assess Pro or Enterprise. It is less suitable for a small operation that needs high viewing volume at a predictable low cost, or a seller whose priority is native social checkout.

Pros and cons

Pros

Several commerce formats—live shopping, buyable short video and video consultation—cover discovery and personalized guidance in one platform.
Documented support for four major commerce platforms, CRM connectivity for consultations and REST APIs gives retailers integration paths into existing systems.
Higher tiers include mobile SDKs, SSO and white labeling, with human support on Pro and a dedicated customer manager on Enterprise.

Cons

The free plan is limited to 250 views per month, two users and one domain/market, making it a constrained production option.
Essential requires annual billing and still has a 2,000-view cap, three-user limit and AI chat support; excess views cost $0.25 each.
Mobile SDKs and SSO require Pro or Enterprise, and Enterprise uses custom pricing, making advanced deployments less straightforward to budget.
Native social checkout is not supported.

Alternatives

Taggbox is worth comparing for a team seeking a free web/API option with a 500-view monthly allowance and feed-based content aggregation.

TalkShopLive may fit Shopify sellers that prefer a free-to-start plan with usage charges of $0.30 per item sold and 10.25% of order value.

TikTok Shop is the more relevant comparison for sellers willing to use a commission model: its plan has no setup fee and charges 6% per sale.

eStreamly is a comparison point for teams wanting a paid video plan with 10,000 monthly views and 25 hosted videos at 39.00 USD per month, billed quarterly.

Shoppable may suit U.S. teams seeking a startup plan at 99.00 USD per month without an annual commitment, with Product and Catalog APIs charged at $0.15 per call.

iimpro offers a free-to-install starter plan with a 6% commission on order subtotals and no monthly subscription.

Facebook Shops is a free alternative for eligible businesses, with checkout availability varying by market.

LTK is another option for teams focused on creator collaborations; its Launch plan costs 99.00 USD per month and includes 10 creators per month, a $25,000 annual collaboration spend, one user seat and one promoted brand.

Verdict

Choose Bambuser if your retail team wants more than livestreams: its mix of buyable video, live shopping, consultations and documented commerce connections supports a broader video-commerce program. Look elsewhere if native social checkout is essential, or if view charges, annual billing and tier-gated SDK access do not fit your budget or stack requirements.
