Overview

Remaker AI brings prompt-led photo editing and a broad set of image tools together with AI video generation. It suits creators and teams that want several visual workflows in one service, especially if they prefer buying credits as needed over taking on a subscription. The trade-off is a web-first product with no commercial-use support.

Key features

Image and video workflows

The photo editor lets users target part of an image or describe a change with a prompt. Upscaling, background removal, object erasing, effects, portraits and tattoo generation extend it from photo cleanup into creative work. Video generation and short-form templates add another output format, though the breadth of tools does not make the platform a native-app option.

Face swaps and API

Video face swaps support multiple faces and videos up to 30 minutes, with watermark-free export. That combination is useful for longer source clips, but commercial use is not supported, so it is a poor fit for client or revenue-generating deliverables.

Remaker’s API documentation lists endpoints for face swaps, upscaling, video generation, background removal and other tools. That gives teams a path to integrate visual tasks into existing workflows; the endpoint list alone does not establish whether a particular integration meets a team’s operational needs.

Access and safeguards

Remaker describes access through its web platform and says it has no official app. Although Android, iOS, macOS and Windows appear among its platform categories, teams should treat this as web access rather than assume a dedicated app on each system. Payments are processed by Stripe, and Remaker says it does not retain card details. Its privacy policy describes firewall-protected servers in secure facilities while acknowledging that no security system is perfect.

Pricing

Remaker is freemium: Free access is 0.00 USD per free, with sign-up credits and many basic features free. New users can use those credits to generate and export images and videos without a watermark. The free offer is useful for trying the workflows, but the credit-based model means usage is limited by the credits available.

Paid access is sold in one-time credit purchases rather than recurring subscriptions. The 200-credit package costs 5.99 USD per once; the 20,000-credit package costs 299.00 USD per once. Packages range from 200 to 20,000 credits, and purchased credits do not expire. Smaller purchases limit the amount of work possible before another purchase; the largest package requires a substantially higher upfront payment. There is no recurring subscription billing, which suits occasional use but offers no predictable monthly allowance.

Refund eligibility is narrow: the request must follow a first purchase, no more than 50 credits may have been used, and the request must arrive within three days. Email support handles refunds and general inquiries, with responses potentially taking up to 48 hours.

Platforms

Remaker is usable through the web platform. Despite Android, iOS, macOS and Windows appearing in its platform categories, the service says there is currently no official app. That makes it a better fit for browser-based workflows than for teams requiring a dedicated mobile or desktop client.

Who it's for

Remaker fits individual creators and enterprise teams that need image editing, video tools and API endpoints in one place, and can work within credit-based purchasing and web access. It is less suitable for commercial production because commercial use is not supported, or for teams that require recurring subscription billing, official apps or a broader usage commitment than a credit balance provides.

Pros and cons

Pros: One platform covers prompt-led image editing, common image-processing tasks, video generation and API endpoints, reducing the need to approach each task as a separate product choice.
Pros: Purchased credits never expire and are paid for once, which avoids recurring charges and suits intermittent workloads.
Pros: Sign-up credits can produce watermark-free image and video exports, giving new users a way to try output workflows before buying credits.
Cons: Commercial use is not supported, ruling it out for teams that need to use outputs commercially.
Cons: There is no official app, despite multiple device categories appearing in platform listings; users should expect web access.
Cons: Refunds require a first purchase, usage of no more than 50 credits and a request within three days, leaving little room after substantial use or a delayed decision.

Alternatives

For a dedicated face-swap shortlist, compare AI Face Swap Tools and Face Swap Software; for video enhancement specifically, see Video Upscaling Software.

SwapFace is worth considering when a 60-second video face-swap limit and priority processing suit the job better; its Basic plan costs 9.99 USD per once and includes 1,050 credits, with benefits valid for 30 days.
FakeMe is a freemium alternative with a 3.99 USD monthly subscription, suited to readers who prefer a recurring plan with no watermarks and priority queuing.
BasedLabs is another freemium option with API access.
AI Ease offers a free tier and a yearly membership, making it an alternative for readers considering a yearly rather than credit-purchase model.
AIFaceSwap offers a free trial and a Pro plan at 9.99 USD per month, with unlimited face swaps, HD output and 30-second video face swaps; it is a clearer fit when a stated monthly face-swap plan is preferred.
Deep-Live-Cam is an option for readers seeking a self-hosted choice across Linux, macOS and Windows.
Facy AI has a free tier with unlimited image processing at medium quality and slow processing times, making it an option for readers prioritizing free image volume over speed.
Picsi.Ai has a free plan with 10 daily credits for single-face image swaps, but watermarks creations and locks GIF and video features on that tier.

Verdict

Choose Remaker AI if you want a web-based mix of image editing, video generation, face swaps and API endpoints, and value non-expiring credits over a subscription. Look elsewhere if you need commercial-use rights, an official app or a recurring plan with a defined monthly allowance.
