Overview

Fintastic is enterprise planning and analysis software that connects business data and planning assumptions in one model. It suits teams coordinating plans across finance, revenue, operations, workforce, marketing and IT. Its strongest case is permission-aware AI grounded in that live model; the tradeoff is a substantial implementation window and custom pricing.

Key features

One connected planning model

Fintastic brings financial, operational, workforce, revenue, marketing and IT plans into a unified model. Forecasting spans dimensions such as reps, territories, products, pipeline, capacity, time horizons and financial plans. This breadth is useful when teams need plans to connect across functions rather than live in separate spreadsheets or systems; it also makes Fintastic a more natural fit for complex enterprise planning than a narrowly scoped forecasting tool.

AI grounded in the model

The AI Agent analyzes the live model, traces figures to their drivers and uses the planning engine to calculate results. It can build scenarios on a copy of a version, keeping the baseline intact, while proposed model changes await user approval. That separation gives teams a way to explore alternatives without silently changing the operating plan.

Fintastic also offers an MCP server so compatible external AI assistants can query the model within the same permission boundaries. The AI Agent page says model data and business-specific memory are not used to train shared or foundation models. Teams adopting AI in planning will value these controls, though access depends on permissions configured for the underlying model.

Connections and access controls

Named connected systems include NetSuite, Salesforce, Workday, Snowflake, Google BigQuery, Oracle, OneStream, AWS Redshift and BambooHR. Connectors fetch changed data after the initial load, which Fintastic says keeps actuals current without a nightly rebuild. That approach is relevant to teams that need ongoing updates from business systems.

Permissions can be set by entity, dimension, dataset, view and version, with cell-level masking for sensitive figures. The Agent inherits the user's permissions. Fintastic lists SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certification, AWS infrastructure, encryption in transit and at rest, audit trails and SSO-based access controls. Together, these controls address common governance needs for shared enterprise planning models.

Pricing

Fintastic uses custom pricing for its Enterprise subscription, with a company-size-based subscription, unlimited users, unlimited data and support included. Prospective customers are directed to book a demo or contact Fintastic for pricing. Unlimited users and data avoid per-seat and data caps in the stated plan, but teams must request a quote rather than compare a public numeric price.

There are no cheaper public Fintastic tiers to trade off against the enterprise offering. Teams should weigh the subscription alongside implementation: Fintastic says a practitioner-led team typically goes live in 12–16 weeks. That timeline suits organizations planning a substantial deployment, not teams seeking an immediate, lightweight forecasting setup.

Platforms

Fintastic is available through web and API. The API and MCP access make it relevant to teams integrating planning with existing systems or compatible AI assistants; the listed platforms do not include a desktop or mobile app.

Who it's for

Fintastic is aimed at enterprise planning teams spanning finance, revenue, workforce, marketing, IT and executive leadership. Its connected model, broad forecast dimensions and permission controls are most compelling where plans need to reconcile across functions and sensitive figures need differentiated access. Smaller teams or buyers seeking self-serve pricing, a short setup, or a narrowly focused planning workflow should look elsewhere.

Pros and cons

Pro: A single model connects plans across finance, revenue, operations, workforce, marketing and IT, supporting cross-functional planning.
Pro: The Agent can analyze drivers and calculate scenarios while preserving the baseline and requiring approval for proposed changes.
Pro: Entity- and dimension-based permissions, cell masking and inherited Agent permissions help manage access to sensitive figures.
Con: Custom pricing requires a direct sales conversation, limiting upfront cost comparison.
Con: A typical 12–16-week go-live makes Fintastic a considered implementation, rather than a quick-start planning tool.
Con: Web and API are the stated platforms, so buyers seeking a listed native mobile app should consider another option.

Verdict

Choose Fintastic when enterprise teams need finance, revenue and operational plans connected in one governed model, with an AI Agent that can analyze drivers and explore scenarios without changing the baseline. Its main reasons to look elsewhere are the custom quote and 12–16-week typical go-live; buyers seeking a fast, self-serve or narrowly scoped tool will likely find a better fit elsewhere.
