Overview

Beds24 brings direct reservations, channel distribution, and operational tasks such as housekeeping, guest management, room assignment, and front-desk functions together. That scope can suit operators who want fewer separate systems, while the customizable, mobile-friendly booking page supports commission-free direct bookings. Its commercial-only terms rule it out for consumers managing a private property.

Made by a Berlin-based company founded in 2005, Beds24 guarantees 99% annual average service availability, excluding agreed maintenance periods. The provider describes the service as GDPR-compliant and says it uses 256-bit SSL encryption and regular backups.

Key features

Bookings and distribution

The booking engine supports direct reservations without commission through a customizable mobile page. For external distribution, two-way XML connections send inventory and prices to channels and bring bookings back; iCal synchronization is also available. This combination is useful for properties balancing direct sales with channel distribution, though the separate price for channel management matters when budgeting.

Property operations and integrations

Housekeeping, guest management, room assignments, and front-desk functions extend Beds24 beyond reservation handling. Its marketplace covers accounting, business intelligence, compliance, distribution, guest experience, and property operations partners. The range may help teams connect accommodation workflows, but integrations are priced separately from the basic hostel plan.

API and mobile access

API V2 provides third-party access to accounts, properties, bookings, and inventory, with documented read-only and read/write token options. That makes Beds24 a candidate for teams integrating their own tools or controlling the scope of API access. The iOS and Android apps handle bookings, arrivals and departures, availability, and Airbnb and Booking.com messages, extending core management to mobile devices.

Support and terms

Ticket support, forum access, self-onboarding tools, and regular webinars are included; personal onboarding and online training are optional. The stated annual availability guarantee is 99%, with agreed maintenance excluded. The commercial-use restriction is a material fit constraint for anyone seeking software for personal, non-business use.

Pricing

Beds24 is paid, has no free plan, and offers a free trial. The basic hostel plan costs 15.90 EUR per month, billed monthly, with pay-as-you-go terms and no minimum term. It covers one dorm and one bed. Channel manager and integrations cost extra, so this price is best understood as a narrow entry point rather than the full cost for operators who need those capabilities. No seat or usage quotas are stated for this plan.

For commercial providers, the plan's month-to-month commitment limits lock-in, but a one-dorm, one-bed allowance is a poor match for larger operations. Teams that depend on channel distribution or marketplace connections should account for those separate charges before deciding whether the entry plan fits their budget.

Platforms

Beds24 supports web, API, Android, and iOS access. The combination suits teams that need browser-based management, integrations, and mobile access for bookings and daily tasks.

Who it's for

Beds24 is strongest for commercial accommodation providers that want direct bookings alongside channel distribution and property operations, especially where API access or mobile management is valuable. Small hostels can start with the one-dorm, one-bed plan, while operators with broader needs should evaluate the additional channel and integration costs. It is not suited to private, consumer use, and teams seeking a low-cost all-in-one package should be cautious about treating the base price as their likely total.

Pros and cons

Pro: Direct booking, channel exchange, and property operations sit in one service, reducing the need to source each function separately.
Pro: API V2 includes read-only and read/write token options, giving integrators a documented way to set access scope.
Pro: iOS and Android apps cover reservations, arrivals and departures, availability, and messages from Airbnb and Booking.com.
Con: Channel management and integrations are extra, limiting the value of the entry price for operators who need them.
Con: The basic plan is restricted to one dorm and one bed, making it a narrow starting point for larger properties.
Con: The commercial-only terms exclude private property users.

CultSwitch is a paid web and API channel manager with commission-based pricing, suited to buyers comparing a commission-priced channel-management option. Vertical Booking is another paid option with Android, iOS, web, and API platforms. RateTiger Channel Manager is a paid web option for buyers considering a web-based channel manager.

AxisRooms Channel Manager offers a Basic tier with five OTA channels and limited users, or Pro with unlimited OTAs and users plus a PMS interface; it suits teams comparing channel and user limits. Cloudbeds Channel Manager has a Flex plan with PMS, payments, marketplace, and bring-your-own-distribution, with its channel-manager partner separate; its One plan also includes a channel manager. It is worth comparing for teams weighing a broader PMS and payments bundle.

eZee Centrix offers a channel-manager-focused Principal plan with OTA connections and inventory distribution management, while YieldPlanet Channel Manager tiers channel and user allowances from five channels and five users on Essential to unlimited channels and users on Pro+. Either is a relevant comparison for buyers evaluating channel capacity and user limits. For payment processing specifically, Oracle Payments Cloud Service offers fixed-rate processing plans for card-present and card-not-present transactions.

Verdict

Beds24 is a strong candidate for commercial accommodation teams that want direct bookings, distribution, property operations, API access, and mobile management under one roof. Its main reason to choose it is that breadth; its main reason to look elsewhere is that channel management and integrations sit outside the 15.90 EUR monthly hostel entry plan, whose one-dorm, one-bed scope is limited. Compare the total cost of the capabilities your operation needs before committing.
