Overview

Founded in 2010 and headquartered in Singapore, BIPO combines payroll processing with a broader set of HR modules. Its stated sweet spot starts at 50 employees, while the platform is designed to manage more than 10,000 employees across multiple countries. That range makes it relevant to growing and multinational teams, but likely more system than a small business needs.

Payroll supports both employees and contractors, with automated calculations, salary disbursement, tax filing, pension contributions, and multi-currency payments. BIPO names compliance coverage across Southeast Asia, Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, and other markets. Teams should confirm that the specific countries where they employ people are covered before choosing it.

Key features

Payroll scheduling and employee pay

Teams can schedule fortnightly or monthly payroll runs and use ad-hoc runs for bonuses or other one-off payments. Digital payslips are available around the clock, and employees can access payroll information in a browser or the iOS and Android app. This covers common recurring and exception payments without requiring separate payslip access, though BIPO's custom pricing leaves the cost of that breadth to be established in a sales conversation.

Connected HR workflows

Personnel Hub, Time & Attendance, Leave Management, Claims, and Training & Appraisal sit alongside payroll. Employee self-service lets staff access HR records and payslips, submit leave requests and claims, and view company information; configurable access settings give organizations control over what employees can see. BIPO describes employee information, claims, attendance, and overtime syncing, and integration between payroll, time tracking, and leave. This joined-up scope should suit teams looking to reduce handoffs between HR processes, rather than buyers seeking payroll alone.

Attendance, reporting, and APIs

Time and attendance includes real-time tracking, support for different clocking devices, facial recognition, and shift scheduling. The mobile app supports clock-in and clock-out using GPS, Bluetooth, or Wi-Fi, alongside leave and claims tasks. An HR dashboard and customizable real-time reports add oversight for managers. For teams extending their stack, BIPO's developer portal offers APIs to extract data from Employee, Leave, Attendance, and Payroll modules; the stated API scope is data extraction for third-party integrations.

Deployment and support

BIPO says the system supports more than 20 languages and local labor regulations in the countries it covers. It describes the platform as highly customizable and able to integrate HR with Finance (ERP) and other third-party platforms. BIPO also says it provides employee training during implementation, local support across more than 170 markets, and a globally connected 24/7 support network. Its platform and services are ISO-27001 certified, undergo annual SOC 1 Type II and SOC 2 Type II audits, and run on AWS and Alibaba Cloud; the payroll service also describes scheduled automatic backups. These are meaningful considerations for multi-market deployments, but buyers should validate the implementation and country coverage relevant to their own operations.

Pricing

BIPO HRMS Payroll uses custom pricing; BIPO does not publish a subscription price. A free demo can be requested, but no free trial duration is stated. There are no published plan tiers, seat quotas, or usage caps to compare, so teams should ask for a quote based on employee count, countries, and required modules, and clarify what implementation and support cover.

That sales-led approach may fit organizations with complex, multi-country requirements better than a fixed-price plan, but it makes cost comparison difficult for smaller teams. BIPO positions HRMS for companies with 50 or more employees, so organizations below that scale should check whether the scope and commercial terms make sense before investing time in evaluation.

Platforms

BIPO supports web, iOS, Android, and API access. Employees can use the browser or mobile app for payroll information, while the mobile app also handles payslips, leave and claims tasks, and location- or connection-based clock-in/out. API access is oriented toward extracting core Employee, Leave, Attendance, and Payroll data for integrations.

Who it's for

BIPO is a strong fit for organizations with at least 50 employees that need payroll and adjacent HR workflows across countries, particularly when multi-currency payments, local compliance, employee self-service, and configurable integrations matter together. Its capacity for more than 10,000 employees and multi-language support also make it worth considering as a workforce grows across markets. A company needing only a simple domestic payroll service, or one that needs transparent per-seat pricing before engaging a vendor, should compare other options first.

Pros and cons

Pros: Payroll, attendance, leave, claims, and personnel records are brought into one system, which can reduce fragmentation between core HR tasks.
Pros: Fortnightly, monthly, and ad-hoc runs, plus multi-currency payments and support for employees and contractors, address varied payroll needs.
Pros: APIs expose data from four core modules, giving teams a defined route to connect HR and payroll data with other platforms.
Pros: BIPO states support for more than 20 languages, local labor regulations across covered markets, and a 24/7 support network.
Cons: Custom pricing and a demo-first buying path make it hard to assess affordability without contacting BIPO.
Cons: The 50-employee positioning may make the platform a poor fit for small teams that do not need a broad HR suite.
Cons: Country compliance depends on the markets BIPO covers, so multinational buyers must verify their full country list before relying on the service.

Alternatives

Choose iiPay Global Payroll Platform if you want a fully managed, end-to-end payroll service spanning more than 170 countries; it is also sold through a demo or enquiry rather than a published price.

Dapplon Global Payroll is a better comparison for teams prioritizing upfront pricing and a free trial: its Basic plan is 29.00 USD per month for up to 25 employees and includes core HR and payroll, PF, ESI and TDS filing, and email support. That published entry tier is capped at 25 employees, below BIPO's stated target size.

Consider Omni HR Payroll when payroll calculations, digital payslips, statutory filing, accounting integration, and multi-country support are the main requirements; it offers a free trial.

Ramco Enterprise Asset Management is an alternative for buyers evaluating enterprise asset management rather than an HR and payroll system.

Rippling is another paid software option to compare.

ADP Workforce Now is worth comparing if you want an all-in-one payroll and HR suite, with its Plus plan adding benefits administration to Select.

CloudPay Navigator is another paid, web-based option to consider.

Oracle Recruiting is a paid recruiting product, a more relevant comparison when hiring workflows are the priority rather than payroll.

Verdict

BIPO HRMS Payroll is a compelling shortlist choice for mid-sized and larger employers that want payroll connected to attendance, leave, claims, employee self-service, and APIs, especially across multiple countries. Its breadth and stated workforce scale are the main reasons to choose it; custom pricing and the need to verify coverage for each operating market are the main reasons to look elsewhere or delay a decision until after a demo and detailed quote.
