Overview

Blerp combines a large community sound library with playback tools and a streaming toolkit built around audience interaction. It suits creators who want sounds, alerts, and monetization features in one service; it is less compelling for anyone seeking only a simple local soundboard.

Its strongest distinction is breadth: more than one million user-created sounds sit alongside streaming alerts, TTS, overlays, and channel rewards. The tradeoff is that some capabilities depend on Twitch Affiliate status, and only sounds marked reviewed by Blerp are guaranteed DMCA safe.

Key features

Sound library and playback

Users can browse the library, upload audio, or create sounds from Twitch and YouTube clips. Multiple soundboards and hotkey triggering make it practical to keep frequently used effects organized and ready during a stream or voice chat. The library's scale is an advantage for creators looking for variety, but the copyright assurance has a clear boundary: unreviewed sounds do not carry Blerp's DMCA-safety guarantee.

Streaming tools and moderation

Blerp's streaming toolkit covers sound alerts, text-to-speech, video alerts, overlays, channel points, and subathon timers. It advertises more than 500 TTS voices and includes an approval queue and word censorship, giving streamers controls over incoming spoken messages. Its Twitch page says creators can make over 50 Channel Reward sounds and an unlimited number of Bits rewards, though some features require Affiliate status.

Integrations and security

Integrations include Twitch, Discord, YouTube, TikTok, Kick, and other streaming platforms. Blerp says it does not sell or monetize user data. For Blerp Beets payments, it uses PayPal infrastructure powered by Braintree.

Pricing

Blerp uses a freemium model, with a free option and a seven-day trial for Blerp Unlimited. The trial is useful for evaluating the paid alert and subscription toolkit before committing; subscribers can cancel anytime through their profile.

Plan	Price	What it includes
TTS Free	0.00 USD per month (billed $0/mo)	500+ voice library, basic voice filters, moderation queue, and word censorship
Blerp Unlimited — 2-Year	4.99 USD per month (billed $119.76 billed every 2 years)	Full Blerp alert builder and subscription feature set
Blerp Unlimited — Annual	5.99 USD per month (billed $71.88 billed annually)	Full Blerp alert builder and subscription feature set
Blerp Unlimited — Monthly	10.99 USD per month (billed Billed monthly)	Full Blerp alert builder and subscription feature set

TTS Free is the sensible fit for creators who mainly need voices and moderation controls. The paid tiers provide the full alert builder and subscription features; the longer commitments lower the monthly equivalent, while monthly billing avoids a multi-year or annual term at a higher rate. Unlimited's name does not establish quotas for every feature, so creators should judge it by the stated feature set rather than assume uncapped usage.

Platforms

Blerp supports Android, iOS, web, and browser extensions, as well as Mac, Windows 10 or 11, and Linux beta through Blerp HUD. The extension supports Chrome, Edge, and Brave. Linux downloads are provided as AppImages for x64 and ARM64, while Linux remains beta. Blerp is therefore flexible across common creator setups, though desktop Linux users should account for the beta status.

Who it's for

Blerp is best suited to streamers and content creators who want a sizeable sound catalog alongside interactive alerts, TTS moderation, and reward tools. It is a particularly natural fit for creators already using supported streaming platforms and able to use the Twitch features their account status permits. For a team seeking only a straightforward soundboard without streaming-oriented tools, much of Blerp's breadth may go unused.

Pros and cons

Large, flexible sound catalog: More than one million user-created sounds can be browsed, uploaded, or made from Twitch and YouTube clips.
Broad streaming toolkit: Alerts, TTS, video alerts, overlays, channel points, and timers extend beyond basic sound playback.
Useful TTS safeguards: The free TTS plan includes an approval queue and word censorship alongside a library of more than 500 voices.
Copyright assurance is selective: Only sounds marked reviewed by Blerp are guaranteed DMCA safe.
Some Twitch tools have an eligibility gate: Certain features require Affiliate status, which can make the toolkit a partial fit for newer streamers.
Paid access costs more month to month: The monthly Unlimited plan is 10.99 USD per month, compared with lower monthly equivalents on longer billing terms.

Alternatives

For a broader comparison, see Soundboard Software. Choose Resanance if a free soundboard with unlimited sounds and hotkeys, multiple output devices, and support for Android, web, and Windows better matches the need. Sound Show is another option, with a free tier capped at 10 tabs and 40 sounds per tab and a paid one-time Pro plan.

Soundboard Online may suit users who want a web-only option with no subscription, credit card, or cap on rooms, clips, or sessions. Consider Stadium Sound for a free option spanning macOS, web, and Windows. AudioPad is a free Linux and Windows alternative, though its licensing labels differ between its home and pricing pages. SoundTools Soundboard is a free, no-account, no-install choice across web, mobile, and desktop platforms.

LitPads fits Mac and iOS users who want a free tier of six boards with 20 pads each, or a one-time Pro purchase for unlimited boards and pads. Soundplant is a freemium Mac and Windows option with a one-time license that lasts for the purchased version and includes two years of free upgrades.

Verdict

Choose Blerp if your streams need a deep pool of sounds plus alerts, TTS moderation, and audience-reward tools in one platform. Its breadth and free TTS controls are strong reasons to start there, but the selective DMCA guarantee, Twitch eligibility requirements, and higher monthly Unlimited price are meaningful cautions. If you need only a basic soundboard, a simpler free alternative is likely the better fit.
