Overview

OneNotary provides remote online and mobile notarization for individuals and businesses. It is best suited to teams that need notarization inside an existing workflow, particularly through its REST API or Clio integration. Per-session pricing starts at $25 for online notarization, while business features add a monthly fee.

Key features

Online sessions pair live audio and video with electronic signing and an audit trail for each notarization. Identity checks include biometric verification, credential analysis and knowledge-based authentication, giving organizations several checks within the signing flow. OneNotary says its professional notary service is available nationwide, 24/7.

For business workflows, the REST API supports white-label and embedded integrations; Clio users can create requests and receive completed documents within Clio. Enterprise plans add custom workflows and integrations, SSO and a dedicated account manager. These options make OneNotary more compelling for organizations integrating notarization into operations than for teams seeking only occasional, standalone sessions.

OneNotary lists SOC 2 Type II, ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and MISMO compliance. Documents can be uploaded in common text and image formats, including PDF, but each upload must be 35 MB or smaller. Online sessions require a browser such as Chrome or Safari, internet access, a camera, speaker and microphone.

Pricing

The free Pay-as-You-Go plan charges $0.00 per month; online notarizations start at $25 and mobile notarizations at $80. It includes seven days of document storage, so it suits occasional use but offers little room for a long-term document archive.

Online notarization costs $25.00 per notarization, with one stamp and one signer. An additional seal costs $10, an additional signer $10, and a OneNotary witness $15. This per-session plan suits individual transactions, though extras can raise the cost beyond the base price.

Business Professional is $49.00 per month, billed monthly, with annual billing also offered. It includes unlimited storage, unlimited team members and REST API access; online notarizations start at $25 and mobile notarizations at $80. The monthly fee is most relevant to teams that benefit from those business features, rather than users who only need a few sessions.

Mobile notarization is $80.00 per notarization, with one stamp, five pages and mobile notary travel included. It is the straightforward option when an in-person mobile notary is needed, but its included page allowance matters for longer documents.

Enterprise has custom pricing and includes a dedicated account manager, custom workflows and integrations, SSO and embedded integration. It is aimed at organizations with high notarization needs; occasional users are better served by the per-session plans.

Platforms

OneNotary supports web and API access, with mobile web support. Online notarization depends on browser access and audio-video equipment, rather than a native mobile app listed among its platforms.

Who it's for

OneNotary is a fit for individuals needing remote or mobile notarization and for businesses that want audit trails, identity checks and a path to integrate notarization into existing systems. Teams using Clio have a direct workflow option. Organizations with high volumes can consider Enterprise; those needing occasional notarization without integrations may find the monthly Business Professional fee unnecessary.

Pros and cons

Pros: Multiple identity checks, live audio-video sessions and a full audit trail support a documented remote signing process.
Pros: REST API, white-label and embedded integration options, plus Clio support, give businesses ways to connect notarization with their workflow.
Pros: Unlimited storage and team members are included in Business Professional.
Cons: Uploaded documents are capped at 35 MB, which can rule out larger files.
Cons: The $25 online base price rises with additional seals, signers or a OneNotary witness.
Cons: Pay-as-You-Go storage lasts only seven days, while mobile notarization includes five pages.

Verdict

Choose OneNotary if you need remote or mobile notarization with identity checks and a documented audit trail, especially when API, embedded or Clio integration can reduce workflow friction. Its main trade-offs are per-session charges that grow with add-ons, a 35 MB document cap and limited free-plan storage. For occasional use, check the transaction costs against your needs; for recurring business use, the $49.00 monthly plan is the clearest fit.
