Overview

Bluey combines marketing campaigns and transactional email with contact records, deal tracking, and revenue-oriented analytics. That setup can help teams connect campaign activity to customer history without splitting those functions across products. The trade-off is a strict email-only scope, and the practical fit also depends on whether its integrations match the rest of your stack.

Key features

Campaigns and automation

The AI campaign builder drafts editable subject lines, copy, and branded layouts from a campaign description. That gives teams a starting point for campaign production, not a finished message that removes the need for review. Automations cover welcome, abandoned-cart, win-back, and onboarding flows, with no cap on steps or branches. Workflow counts are still tier-dependent: Free allows one automation, Spark three, Grow 25, and Business has no stated cap.

CRM, analytics, and transactional email

The built-in CRM holds contacts, a deal pipeline, customer lifetime value, and event history. Analytics include revenue per campaign, click heatmaps, customer lifetime value, and custom reports; revenue tracking, ecommerce tracking, and campaign comparison are also supported. This combination is most useful when campaign performance needs to sit alongside customer and deal context. Transactional email can be sent over SMTP or REST for receipts, password resets, and shipping notices, with delivery webhooks.

Integrations and compliance

Shopify, Zapier, and API/webhooks are listed integrations. WooCommerce, WordPress, Stripe, HubSpot, and Salesforce are marked as coming soon, so teams depending on those connections should not treat them as current options. Bluey describes one-click unsubscribe, preference centres, global suppression lists, and GDPR-shaped consent records, useful email controls for teams managing consent and opt-outs.

Pricing

Bluey has a free plan, paid plans from $7/mo, and a seven-day trial with full feature access and no credit card required. The trial is a short way to assess the broader feature set; the permanent free tier is much more constrained.

Plan	Price	Included limits	Best fit
Free	$0 forever	500 emails/mo, 500 contacts, forms, 1 automation, 1 landing page	Small-volume evaluation or basic email programs
Spark	$7/mo	6,000 emails/month, 6K contacts, 3 automations, 2 seats, 50 AI generations/mo, 10 forms, 2 landing pages	Small teams moving beyond the free caps
Grow	$30/mo	50,000 emails/month, unlimited contacts, 25 automations, 4 seats, 200 AI generations/mo, 10 landing pages, unlimited forms	Growing teams needing more volume, contacts, and workflow capacity
Business	$300/mo	180,000 emails/month, unlimited contacts, forms, automations, seats, AI, and storage; phone support	Higher-volume teams that need uncapped team and workflow allowances

The free plan is capped at 500 monthly emails and contacts, and gives up the seats and AI-generation allowances spelled out on paid tiers. Spark is inexpensive but limits both seats and monthly sending; Grow removes the contact cap and expands those allowances, while Business costs substantially more in exchange for 180,000 monthly emails and uncapped seats, automations, AI, forms, and storage. Every plan includes 24/7 chat; Grow adds priority support and Business adds phone support.

Platforms

Bluey supports web and API access. Its transactional API supports SMTP and REST, while delivery webhooks provide a way to receive delivery events. The email-only channel limit remains relevant even for API users: SMS, WhatsApp, and push are unavailable.

Who it's for

Bluey fits teams that want email campaigns, transactional messages, CRM records, and automation in one system, particularly those operating at under a few million sends a month. The free tier can suit a small program, while Spark, Grow, and Business offer a progression in sending, seats, and workflow capacity. It is a weaker fit for teams whose stack depends on the integrations marked coming soon or whose customer messaging needs extend beyond email.

Pros and cons

Pros: Marketing and transactional email share a platform with CRM and automation, keeping customer context close to campaign work.
Pros: The trial provides seven days of full feature access without requiring a credit card.
Pros: Grow and Business offer progressively higher contact and workflow capacity, and Business removes stated caps on seats, AI, automations, forms, and storage.
Cons: The Free tier's 500 emails and 500 contacts can constrain even modest ongoing programs.
Cons: Spark and Grow have explicit seat, automation, and AI-generation limits, so team or workflow growth may force an upgrade.
Cons: Email is the only channel, and several familiar commerce and CRM integrations are not yet available.

Alternatives

For teams prioritizing analytics or attribution rather than an email platform, Email Marketing Analytics Software is a category to compare. Windsor.ai offers free plans with different data-source and account allowances. AnyTrack may suit teams focused on session and conversion tracking, with its Free plan capped at 5,000 sessions per month for one website. OptiKratos Email is another email option, with a free tier of 15,000 emails per month and a paid Starter plan. SegmentFlow.ai has a hard-capped free allowance of 2,500 emails per month. Visisto pairs widgets and automations with a free plan that includes 15,000 email sends per month. Amazon Marketing Cloud is available at no cost to eligible advertisers. Dreamdata offers a free attribution plan with five seats and two months of user history. Singular has a free plan covering 15,000 paid conversions.

Verdict

Choose Bluey if your team wants campaigns, transactional email, CRM, and automation together, and its email-only channel mix and current integrations fit your stack. Its strongest case is the breadth of email functions across a free tier, a full-featured trial, and paid plans with clear capacity steps. Look elsewhere if you need multichannel messaging or rely on integrations that are still marked coming soon.
