Overview

Pxier combines appointment and walk-in scheduling with a POS, client records, and tools for prepaid packages and recurring memberships. The calendar checks stylist, chair, and station availability, which helps reduce booking conflicts across a busy shop. Its range extends from single salons and barbershops to multi-location businesses.

The product’s breadth is useful when a salon wants sales, service history, and booking in one system. The trade-off is that advanced capabilities—including multi-location views, online booking, memberships, and API access—sit above the entry plan.

Key features

Scheduling and sales

The calendar handles walk-ins alongside appointments and checks availability by stylist, chair, and station. The POS covers service and retail transactions, tips, stylist-level splits, refunds, and cash, checks, cards, coupons, and gift cards. That combination is a practical fit for salons that need to manage both service revenue and product sales, rather than scheduling alone.

Client and membership management

Client records can hold color and chemical formulas, service history, preferences, and allergies. Those details make the CRM especially relevant to salons where repeat services depend on remembering prior treatments. Salons can also sell prepaid service packages and recurring memberships with automated monthly billing; those features are included in Enterprise.

Integrations and API

Named integrations include QuickBooks, Xero, and Sage, along with third-party calendars, payment processors, and loyalty or rewards tools. Pxier’s RESTful API supports creating and updating client, appointment, transaction, service, and product data, and the product page says reasonable usage is not limited. API access and support are part of Enterprise, so teams that need to build around the API must account for that higher tier.

Support and security

Pxier advertises 24/7 support, free setup, training, and data import on every plan, plus Amazon AWS-backed security. These provisions can reduce the burden of moving salon records into the system, though they do not change the plan minimums.

Pricing

Pxier offers a free 30-day trial, no free plan, and subscriptions with no contracts that can be canceled at any time. Prices are billed per station or chair per month, with minimum monthly prices that can make the entry rate less than the actual bill for a small salon.

Plan	Price	What it includes	Best fit
Essentials	10.00 USD per month per station / chair; $49 minimum	Client CRM with color history, appointment calendar, POS, payment integration, stylist commissions, and mobile app	Single-location salons seeking core booking and sales tools, if the minimum fits their budget.
Professional	15.00 USD per month per station / chair; $79 minimum	Essentials plus multi-location view, inventory, reminders, online booking, and consent forms with eSign	Growing operations that need online booking, inventory, or visibility across locations.
Enterprise	20.00 USD per month per station / chair; $129 minimum	Professional plus classes and memberships, QuickBooks, Xero, and Sage integration, email marketing, and API access and support	Businesses that need memberships, accounting integrations, or API access.
Custom	Custom pricing	Tailored requirements and dedicated onboarding support	Businesses whose requirements call for a tailored package.

The cheaper tiers give up specific capabilities rather than just capacity: Essentials lacks multi-location view, inventory, online booking, and eSign consent forms, while Professional lacks classes and memberships, the named accounting integrations, email marketing, and API access. Text messaging is not available in all countries, so salons relying on reminders should confirm local availability before choosing a plan. The salon app is available for iPhone and Android and is free for businesses subscribed to Pxier’s salon cloud software.

Platforms

Pxier supports Android, iOS, web, and API. The mobile app gives subscribed businesses an iPhone and Android option; the API provides a route for teams connecting client, appointment, transaction, service, or product data to other systems.

Who it's for

Pxier is a strong candidate for hair, beauty, and nail salons or barbershops that need scheduling tied to stations and stylists, a retail-capable POS, and detailed client treatment records. Professional suits operators needing inventory or multi-location oversight, while Enterprise is the relevant choice for memberships, accounting integrations, or API access. It is less compelling for a small shop whose station count makes the plan minimum costly, or for a team that needs text messaging in a country where it is unavailable.

Pros and cons

Pros: The calendar checks stylist, chair, and station availability while handling walk-ins and appointments, helping salons coordinate shared resources.
Pros: The POS supports tips, split transactions, refunds, and common payment types alongside retail sales, reducing the need to separate service and product transactions.
Pros: Client formulas, service history, preferences, and allergies support continuity across repeat visits.
Pros: Setup, training, data import, and 24/7 support are offered on every plan, which can ease onboarding.
Cons: Monthly minimums of $49, $79, and $129 may outweigh the per-station headline rate for smaller operations.
Cons: Memberships, accounting integrations, and API access require Enterprise, limiting those capabilities to the highest listed tier.
Cons: Text messaging is not available in every country, which may rule it out for salons that depend on SMS reminders.

Alternatives

Consider Meevo if its listed Lite or Essentials salon-and-spa plans fit your needs; both show user, contact, or SMS-credit allowances, though their prices are custom. Phorest is another paid option with Starter and Grow plans that include unlimited devices and staff; it does not offer a free trial.

Simple Salon may suit a salon looking for a lower stated monthly price: Starter is 20.00 USD per month and capped at 7 operators, while Pro is 34.00 USD per month. Feelaxo is a freemium web option with a free Basic plan covering live chat, email marketing, custom forms, and traffic analytics; it is a different fit if those are the priorities.

SALON STOCK offers a free iOS plan for one-person salons with inventory, barcode scanning, ordering and receiving, stocktaking, LINE notifications, and current-month material cost. Salonist has a free tier capped at 50 appointments per month, with online booking, scheduling, and staff shift management. Pronto offers a free self-hosted or web plan capped at one staff member, 100 clients, 50 bookings per month, and 100 products. GuestVision is a paid alternative priced by quote.

For adjacent needs, compare Salon Inventory Management Software, Salon Booth Rental Software, Event Venue Management Software, Salon Payroll Software, and Salon Commission Management Software.

Verdict

Choose Pxier Salon if your salon needs station-aware scheduling, a capable service-and-retail POS, and detailed client records in one platform, and its per-station minimums fit your operation. The strongest case is its coverage of daily salon workflows plus setup and training across all plans. Look elsewhere if your budget depends on a low station count or if SMS availability is essential in a country where Pxier does not support it.
