Overview

Tellability combines AI-led job creation, candidate matching, resume scoring and candidate conversations. Recruiters can create a job through AI chat and set questions for Tess to ask candidates. Match scores help prioritize profiles; they do not accept or reject candidates, and recruiters make the final decisions.

For resume-led searches, recruiters can upload PDF or DOCX files in bulk and receive scores from 0 to 100 against job requirements. They can then invite selected candidates to speak with Tess, which conducts a 15-minute conversation and provides a two-minute summary. Recruiters cannot see raw conversation transcripts. That summary-first approach reduces review burden, but teams that need to inspect the full exchange will find the workflow restrictive.

Key features

Tess screening: A 15-minute candidate conversation produces a two-minute recruiter summary. This gives teams a consistent screening step, though each screen uses a credit and the transcript is not visible to recruiters.
Resume scoring: Bulk PDF and DOCX uploads are scored against job requirements, giving recruiters a way to prioritize a resume backlog before inviting candidates to chat.
Recruiter-defined questions: Job creation through AI chat lets hiring teams specify what Tess should ask, making the screening conversation more role-specific.
Human decision-making: Matching scores are advisory rather than automatic hiring decisions. That is a useful fit for teams that want AI-assisted prioritization without delegating acceptance or rejection.

Tellability says it does not sell personal data or share it with advertisers. Its privacy policy describes encryption in transit and at rest, password hashing, short-lived authentication tokens, input validation, rate limiting and access controls. GitHub accounts may be connected. These are relevant controls for a recruiting workflow, while the Enterprise plan’s compliance offering does not name specific certifications.

Pricing

Tellability is freemium. Paid plans include a 14-day free trial with no credit card required. Credits reset monthly and do not roll over; one credit equals one candidate screened by Tess. That makes the monthly allowance a real throughput limit, not a bank of screening capacity teams can save for busier periods.

Plan	Price	Included	Best fit
Free Pilot	0.00 INR per free	50 credits/month, 3 active job postings, 50 candidate unlocks/month and up to 15 matched candidates	A small pilot or team validating the workflow; the 15 matched-candidate cap and three-posting ceiling limit sustained hiring.
Growth	₹3,999/month	150 credits/month, 10 active job postings, 150 candidate unlocks/month, up to 75 matched candidates and priority support	Teams running several roles that can work within the 75 matched-candidate limit.
Enterprise	₹12,999/month+	Custom credits, unlimited job postings and matched candidates, API access, team seats, SSO and compliance features, and a dedicated account manager	Organizations needing API access, team seats or higher-volume posting and matching; pricing starts above Growth.

Free Pilot is useful for evaluating a modest pipeline, but it caps both active jobs and matched candidates. Growth raises those limits and adds priority support, yet still tops out at 75 matched candidates and 150 monthly screening credits. Enterprise removes the posting and matched-candidate caps and adds API access and team seats; teams needing those capabilities should compare its custom-credit arrangement and starting price against their expected volume. Candidates can use the product free of charge.

Platforms

Tellability is available on web and through an API. API access is included with Enterprise, so teams that need to connect it programmatically should account for that plan requirement. The product is presented for recruiters and hiring teams, with candidates also able to use it free.

Who it's for

Tellability is strongest for recruiting teams that want to prioritize candidates using resume scores and match scores, then use structured AI conversations to screen selected people. It is less suitable for teams that need unlimited screening on a lower-tier plan, want access to raw conversation transcripts, or require named compliance certifications. Growth is the practical step up for teams whose pilot is constrained by posting and candidate limits; Enterprise is the relevant option for API access, team seats and unlimited postings and matches.

Pros and cons

Pro — Recruiters retain control: Match scores guide attention without automatically accepting or rejecting candidates.
Pro — Several screening steps share one workflow: AI job creation, bulk resume scoring, matching and Tess conversations support a recruiter-led pipeline.
Pro — Clear entry point: Free Pilot offers 50 monthly screening credits and a 14-day trial is available for paid plans without a credit card.
Con — Credits expire monthly: Unused screening capacity does not carry over, which can penalize teams with uneven hiring cycles.
Con — Lower plans have tight ceilings: Free Pilot allows three active jobs and up to 15 matched candidates; Growth allows 10 jobs and up to 75 matches.
Con — No recruiter access to raw conversations: The two-minute summary is the review artifact, limiting teams that need to inspect the full exchange.

Alternatives

Consider Pin if a freemium recruiting tool with an extension matters: its free plan includes five contact lookup credits per week, one job position, one AI Agent and email-only sequences. Choose Hirin if mobile access matters; it supports Android and iOS as well as web and API access.

Loxo is worth comparing for teams seeking an annual per-user plan with unlimited jobs, candidates and companies; its Core plan is $149.00 USD per month, billed annually and paid up front. For teams prioritizing enterprise-grade security, SSO, regional data storage and uptime and support SLAs, Vervoe offers those features on its Enterprise plan at custom pricing.

AmazingHiring is another paid option with customized pricing. Eightfold AI may suit organizations prepared for a $25,000.00 USD per year Starter Edition, a minimum one-year contract and pricing based on employee count. Paradox uses custom pricing tailored to hiring needs. SeekOut Recruit is an alternative with a paid sourcing plan; its Recruit Core offering is billed annually and requires upfront payment.

Verdict

Tellability is a sensible choice for recruiter-led teams that want resume scoring, candidate matching and AI screening while keeping final decisions in human hands. Its strongest reason to choose it is that connected workflow; its main reason to look elsewhere is the monthly credit reset and firm candidate limits below Enterprise. Start with Free Pilot to assess fit, move to Growth when its caps align with hiring volume, and compare alternatives if transcript access, larger screening capacity or named compliance certifications are essential.
