Overview

CallHub is a campaign outreach platform for organizations coordinating calls, texts, email, and digital organizing. It is best suited to teams that need several contact channels alongside campaign workflows and integrations; its breadth is useful, but the Essential plan’s contact and agent caps make scale an important buying consideration.

Made by Gaglers Inc., CallHub traces its origins to a chat tool created by Augustus Franklin in 2011. The company is based in Washington, DC.

Key features

Calling and phone banking

Power, auto, predictive, and preview dialers give teams options for different calling workflows. Branching scripts, inbound and patch-through calling, local presence, voicemail drop, and call recording support structured phone banking rather than just basic outbound calls. AI-powered Smart Insights is also part of the phone banking toolkit. This breadth favors organized campaigns; teams seeking only a simple dialer may not need the surrounding campaign features.

Texting and other outreach

CallHub combines peer-to-peer and mass texting with voice broadcasts, text broadcasts, text-to-join, email outreach, relational organizing, and workflow automation. Peer-to-peer texting can send initial messages automatically, create trackable shortened links, filter profanity, run custom surveys, and integrate data. Those controls make it a better fit for coordinated, data-connected outreach than a tool focused only on sending bulk messages.

Integrations, API, and security

CRM integrations include NationBuilder, Blackbaud, NGP VAN, Action Network, CiviCRM, Salesforce, and Freshsales; Zapier and OSDI are also supported. CallHub says its API can enable custom two-way data flows with another app, which helps teams connect the platform to an existing stack. CallHub states that it is SOC 2, GDPR, ISO 27001, and HIPAA compliant, uses AWS infrastructure, enforces HTTPS and TLS for web sessions, and encrypts sensitive data in transit.

Pricing

CallHub is a paid service with a free plan and free trial. Essential costs 0.05 USD per month, is billed at Standard rates, and provides free credits to get started. It supports up to 10,000 contacts and 10 agents, with up to 5 team members, 1 sub-account, 3 workflows, and 3 segments. Live chat support is included. The stated contact and agent caps suit smaller teams, but the workflow and segment limits may constrain campaigns that need more complex organization.

Scale has custom pricing and allows unlimited contacts, agents, team members, sub-accounts, workflows, and segments. It adds priority support and the option of an assigned Customer Success Manager, making it the more suitable tier for larger operations that need room to grow and more responsive support. Essential’s lower limits are the main trade-off; teams that need more capacity must move to Scale.

Platforms

CallHub supports Android, iOS, web, Windows, Mac, and API access. Its mobile apps support iPhones running iOS 12 or later and Android 10 or later. The web product works in popular browsers on Windows and Mac, with Chrome recommended for browser calling. This range accommodates both mobile agents and desktop campaign teams.

Who it's for

CallHub is a strong fit for nonprofits, advocacy groups, and other campaign teams that coordinate phone banking and texting across an existing CRM or data stack. It is less compelling for teams that need only one messaging channel or that require capacity beyond Essential but cannot justify Scale’s custom pricing.

Pros and cons

Pros: Calling, texting, email, and workflow tools share one campaign platform, reducing the need to assemble separate outreach products.
Pros: CRM connections and a two-way API can support integration with established systems.
Pros: Essential has stated caps and includes live chat support, while Scale removes contact, agent, and workflow ceilings.
Cons: Essential is limited to 10,000 contacts, 10 agents, 5 team members, 1 sub-account, 3 workflows, and 3 segments.
Cons: Scale requires custom pricing, so larger teams cannot compare its cost from a published monthly figure.

Alternatives

Choose Text-Em-All (formerly Call-Em-All) if a free way to test voice broadcasts and texting matters more than CallHub’s broader campaign toolkit; its free Starter plan includes 25 voice-broadcast test credits and texting tests to your own number, while mass texting requires an upgrade. Consider Ascend if you want a messaging service with usage-dependent subscription and messaging fees and are prepared to contact the provider for pricing.

MojoTxt is another option to compare for texting. For more choices by use case, browse nonprofit text messaging software, peer-to-peer texting software, SMS marketing software, predictive dialer software, voice broadcasting software, and nonprofit marketing software.

Verdict

Choose CallHub if your team needs calling, texting, and campaign workflows connected to the CRM and data systems it already uses. Its channel breadth and API are the clearest reasons to choose it; the Essential caps and custom-priced Scale tier are the reasons to look elsewhere if your team needs more capacity with predictable pricing.
