Overview

CashOnTime is an AI-driven invoice-to-cash platform for finance teams managing complex B2B receivables. It is best suited to organizations with high transaction volumes, multiple sites or ERPs, and recurring disputes. Its broad workflow coverage is compelling, but custom pricing and ERP fit make it a considered purchase rather than a straightforward choice.

Key features

CashOnTime brings credit management, collections, disputes, payment matching, customer self-service and cash forecasting into one receivables workflow. For teams juggling those processes across subsidiaries, that breadth can reduce fragmentation; smaller teams seeking only cash application may find the scope more than they need.

Collections and customer interactions

Automated multichannel dunning uses adaptive scenarios, while AI prioritizes collection actions. The customer portal lets customers view invoices, discuss disputes, submit documents and pay online. Together, these functions can coordinate follow-up and give customers a single place to resolve issues, especially where dispute volume slows collections.

Payment matching and disputes

AI and business rules handle partial payments, discounts, exchange-rate differences, credit notes and transactions across entities. Email remittance capture, automatic posting, multi-currency support and exception workflows round out the matching process. This is a strong fit for complex cash application, though the product’s wider finance workflows may be unnecessary if matching is the only problem to solve.

Disputes and deductions are centralized, categorized and analyzed for root causes. That gives finance teams a way to connect recurring exceptions with their causes rather than treating each deduction as an isolated item.

Credit, forecasting and connectivity

Real-time solvency analysis, credit policies and alerts for exceedances or unusual behavior support credit oversight. Consolidated dashboards forecast cash across multiple subsidiaries and ERPs using payment behavior, detected risks and transaction history. The maker says its AI is developed and maintained in-house, and debtor data is not used to train models shared across client companies.

CashOnTime describes standardized REST API data exchange and customizable ERP connectors, with SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics and Sage among its named ERP environments. Its partner ecosystem spans credit insurance, communications, e-invoicing, financial information and payments; named partners include Allianz Trade, Groupama, Chorus Pro, Creditsafe and Stripe. That range is relevant to teams connecting receivables with existing services, but buyers should assess the ERP and partner connections they specifically require.

Pricing

CashOnTime is paid software with custom pricing. No public plan tiers, seat allowances, usage quotas, trial terms or renewal terms are provided, so teams will need a quote to judge cost against their transaction volumes and implementation needs.

Implementation services include integration, setup, training, ongoing optimization and support. The described deployment also covers audit, scoping and go-live support, which may help teams with complex ERP environments but makes implementation scope an important part of the commercial discussion. A DIMO Software helpdesk is based in France; its support portal offers ticket monitoring, exchange history, 24/7 access and traceability.

Platforms

CashOnTime is a SaaS product available on web and through an API. Cloud hosting, automatic updates and access from internet-connected devices suit distributed finance teams; the API and customizable connectors address ERP integration. The maker describes the service as highly available, secure and scalable. CashOnTime launched in 2012, and DIMO Software took over the product in 2016.

Who it's for

CashOnTime is aimed at finance departments handling high volumes, complex B2B flows, multiple sites or subsidiaries, multiple ERPs and frequent disputes. It makes most sense when a team needs collections, cash application, credit oversight and forecasting to work together. A company with simpler receivables or a narrow need for payment matching may be better served by a more focused product.

Pros and cons

Pros: Broad invoice-to-cash coverage combines collections, matching, disputes, credit management, customer portal and forecasting, which suits teams coordinating several receivables processes.
Pros: Matching covers varied adjustments and cross-entity transactions, with multi-currency support, email remittance capture, automatic posting and exception workflows.
Pros: ERP connectors, a REST API and a wide partner ecosystem support integration into multi-system finance operations.
Cons: Custom pricing and the absence of public plan limits make budget and usage comparisons difficult before a quote.
Cons: The breadth of the platform may be excessive for teams seeking only a cash application tool.
Cons: Implementation includes integration and setup work, so teams should account for deployment scope alongside the software decision.

Alternatives

Cash Application Software is the broader category to explore when comparing products focused on this workflow.

Verdict

CashOnTime is a strong candidate for finance departments managing high-volume, multi-ERP B2B receivables that need collections, complex matching, dispute handling and forecasting in one platform. Its breadth and integration approach are the main reasons to choose it; teams should look elsewhere if they need only cash application or require clear public pricing and plan limits before engaging a vendor.
