Overview

Channels Connect is a vacation-rental channel manager for operators who need to coordinate listings, calendars, and rates across booking sites. It is best suited to property managers who already run a PMS and want broader distribution without a monthly subscription; the trade-off is a commission on paid bookings.

It is not a full property-management system. Teams that need guest messaging, cleaning schedules, or accounting should keep their PMS and connect it rather than expect Channels Connect to cover those jobs.

Key features

From one dashboard, managers can distribute listings to Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com, Expedia, Google, and more than 90 other channels. Central management of photos, descriptions, and property details reduces the need to update each listing separately. That breadth is useful for operators managing multiple distribution outlets, though the value depends on wanting channel coordination rather than an all-in-one operating system.

Two-way calendar synchronization blocks dates across connected channels and feeds updates back into the manager’s workflow. Rate synchronization and pricing rules for season, demand, booking window, and last-minute discounts give managers practical controls across channels. iCal import and export extends calendar coordination to services that support the standard, while a channel-performance view shows which outlets drive bookings.

Integrations include Hostfully, Guesty, OwnerRez, and Hospitable, and a PMS can also connect through the API.

Channels Connect says it encrypts data in transit and at rest, limits internal access by role, and uses Supabase authentication for credential storage. Its privacy policy says it does not sell personal information or use property and guest data to build advertising profiles. For EU and UK transfers to the United States, its Data Processing Agreement relies on Standard Contractual Clauses; the company does not claim third-party security certifications it has not obtained.

Pricing

The Free plan is free, with no subscription or listing fee and no minimum or monthly floor. It provides the same access for all property managers under a single plan, so there is no cheaper tier that gives up features or a higher tier to unlock them.

The cost is not zero when bookings are paid: a small commission applies, varying by channel and property type, with an example rate of 3%. That structure favors managers who want to avoid fixed monthly charges, but makes expenses less predictable as paid booking volume grows. The plan includes listing, rate, and reservation synchronization; the same-access structure means the choice is about the commission model, not feature access.

Platforms

Channels Connect is available on the web and through an API. The API option supports connecting a PMS, while the web platform provides the central channel-management workflow.

Who it's for

It fits vacation-rental managers who want to distribute property information widely, coordinate dates and rates, and retain a separate PMS for the rest of their operations. It is a weaker fit for teams seeking one system for guest communications, cleaning coordination, and accounting, or for operators who would rather pay a fixed subscription than a booking commission.

Pros and cons

Pros: Distribution across 90+ channels, central listing edits, and two-way calendar synchronization address the repetitive coordination work of managing multiple booking outlets.
Pros: No subscription or listing fee and no monthly floor reduce fixed costs, while the single plan gives all property managers the same access.
Pros: PMS integrations and API connectivity let managers retain their existing system instead of replacing it.
Cons: Commissions on paid bookings vary by channel and property type, so costs can rise with booking activity and are less predictable than a flat subscription.
Cons: It does not replace a PMS for guest messaging, cleaning schedules, or accounting, so those workflows require another system.

Alternatives

Compare vacation rental channel manager software if you want to assess the broader category before choosing a platform.

Uplisting is worth considering for operators who want a free trial and are comfortable with per-booking commissions; its Pay As You Go plan shows tiered commission rates for 1–4 and 5–10 properties. Hostify suits teams preferring a paid monthly plan, with listed monthly tiers by rental count and all features included. Vacay Home Connect Channel Manager Plus is another paid option for teams comparing channel managers.

AvaiBook may suit operators who want a paid platform with unit-based tiers such as Standard and Elite. Avantio is an option for teams considering paid monthly pricing, including a Standard pricing tier with a €295 minimum fee for portfolios under 20 properties. BookingPal may fit operators with an existing PMS who prefer a per-unit monthly charge plus a booking commission, as its RevPAL plan requires a PMS. Channex offers a paid WhiteLabel plan and a free trial for teams evaluating that model. NextPax is another paid channel-management option for operators considering an integrated-PMS approach.

Verdict

Choose Channels Connect if you already have a PMS and need broad vacation-rental distribution, synchronized calendars, and coordinated rates without taking on a subscription or listing fee. Its main advantage is channel coordination with equal plan access; look elsewhere if you need a full PMS or want the predictability of fixed monthly pricing instead of commissions on paid bookings.
