Overview

ChMeetings is church administration software for congregations that want to manage people, contributions, events, worship planning, and accounting in one system. It suits churches consolidating those workflows, particularly where attendance and volunteer coordination matter. Its free tier and graduated people caps make it approachable, though messaging charges and the tight free-plan limits deserve attention.

Launched in 2018 by Jios Apps Inc, a U.S.-based software company, ChMeetings combines congregation records with tools for services and finances. It belongs in Church Management Software and its volunteer and event scheduling also makes it relevant to Church Scheduling Software.

Key features

People and giving

Member profiles, bulk management, group management, and an online or printable directory cover core congregation-record work. Churches can track member and guest contributions made online or offline, run pledge campaigns, and export or print donation statements. ChMeetings says it retains only necessary payment details, such as the last four card digits; Stripe and PayPal handle payment data.

Events and worship

Events can be free or paid, with volunteer scheduling, attendance tracking, QR check-in, child check-in, and name-tag printing. These functions connect registration and day-of attendance, which is useful for churches coordinating volunteers and children’s check-in alongside events. Worship planning adds service orders, a song library, and role scheduling for worship teams.

Accounting and integrations

The accounting module covers fund tracking, bank transaction syncing, budgets, financial reports, and check printing. Integrations include Stripe, PayPal, BlueSnap, Paystack, Mailchimp, Twilio, several SMS providers, Zeffy, Zapier, and the ChMeetings API. That gives teams payment, messaging, and automation connections, though the stated integration list does not establish that every workflow is covered.

Security and support

ChMeetings says it runs on Microsoft Azure, encrypts data in transit and at rest, and backs it up daily. Data is stored in the United States, with no customer-selected residency region. Its security measures include GDPR compliance measures, optional two-factor authentication, role-based access, and account activity logs; access-log reports are limited to paid users. Support is included on every plan by phone, live chat, email, ticket, and help center, with free onboarding and training.

Pricing

ChMeetings has a free plan, paid plans from 12.00 USD per month, and a 30-day trial. Annual billing is also offered for paid plans at the cost of 10 months rather than 12. Only active people count toward a plan’s people limit, so the caps apply to active records rather than every person ever entered.

Plan	Price	People limit	What it means
Free	0.00 USD, Free Forever	50	Includes 50 donations per month; a practical starting point for a small congregation, but the people and donation caps constrain growth.
V. Small	12.00 USD per month	100	The lowest paid tier doubles the free people cap, suited to a small church that has outgrown the free plan.
Small	25.00 USD per month	250	A step up for congregations needing room for more active people.
Medium	40.00 USD per month	500	More headroom for growing churches, at a substantially higher monthly price than the entry tier.
Large	50.00 USD per month	1,000	For churches with a larger active directory that still fits a fixed cap.
Unlimited	60.00 USD per month	Unlimited	Removes the people ceiling for a modest step above Large, useful when active membership is likely to exceed 1,000.

Voice and text messages initiated through ChMeetings or the branded church app can cost extra, so churches relying on those channels should account for usage beyond the plan price. Support is included across plans, but access-log reports require a paid plan.

Platforms

ChMeetings is available on the web, Android, and iOS, and includes an API platform. The desktop service works in a browser or can be installed as a desktop app; mobile apps are available for Android and iOS.

Who it's for

ChMeetings is a strong fit for churches that want people records, giving, events, worship scheduling, and accounting together, and can choose a plan based on active-person count. The free plan suits a small congregation testing the workflow within its 50-person and 50-donation monthly caps. Churches that need regional data residency, or depend on high-volume messaging with predictable bundled costs, should weigh those constraints before committing.

Pros and cons

Broad church operations in one platform: people, giving, events, worship planning, and accounting cover several distinct administrative workflows.
Useful event-day tools: QR and child check-in, attendance tracking, volunteer scheduling, and name-tag printing address practical coordination needs.
Support on every plan: phone, chat, email, tickets, help center, and free onboarding lower the support barrier for smaller teams.
Clear growth tiers: paid caps range from 100 people to unlimited, with Unlimited at 60.00 USD per month.
Small free allowance: 50 people and 50 donations per month may not carry a growing church far.
Potential messaging costs: voice and text use can add expense beyond the subscription.
No residency choice: customer data is stored in the United States, which may not suit teams needing another region.

Alternatives

Planning Center is worth comparing for churches that prefer a set of free modules: Calendar covers one room, People offers an unlimited database and reporting, and Services is free for five team members.
ChurchSuite is a paid alternative with a free trial; its Solo plan starts at 15.50 USD per month for 0–99 active contacts and the Address Book module.
ChurchTools is a paid alternative with a free trial; Package XS costs 39.00 USD per month for 100 people, with no additional campuses, 10 resources, and 20 rosters.
One Church Software is a paid alternative with a free trial and supports Android, iOS, macOS, web, and Windows.
Breeze ChMS is a paid alternative with a free trial; its 72.00 USD monthly plan includes unlimited people and staff users and 250 text messages per month.
Elvanto is a paid alternative whose 50 Plan costs 15.20 USD per month when billed annually for up to 50 active adults; it also lists a monthly price of US$19 and a US$149 setup cost.
TheFaithApp is a freemium alternative with Android, iOS, and web support.
Church Planner is a paid alternative with a free plan and trial; its Premium plan costs 9.99 CAD per month for up to 80 contacts and includes worship planning and scheduling, attendance and reports, a song library, and ChordPro charts.

Verdict

Choose ChMeetings if your church wants one system spanning member administration, events, worship planning, giving, and accounting, with support included at every tier. Its people-based plans provide a straightforward path from a small free account to unlimited records. Look elsewhere if data must stay outside the United States or if messaging costs need to be fully predictable within the subscription.
