Overview

Claid is an AI suite for creating and preparing product and fashion imagery, offered through a web app and API. It is best suited to ecommerce teams and marketplaces with recurring image workflows. Its strength is the combination of product-focused editing, batch processing, and storage connections; the standard API request limit may constrain busier pipelines.

Key features

Claid brings together AI Photoshoot, AI fashion models, background removal and replacement, upscaling, light and color correction, prompt-based editing, product scene templates, and image-to-video. That breadth can cover multiple preparation steps in one workflow, while teams seeking only one narrowly defined tool may find the suite more than they need.

Claid says its product-photography training is intended to preserve details, logos, and branding. That focus matters for catalog work, where changing the product itself undermines the value of an otherwise polished image. Batch processing is useful for teams preparing sets of assets rather than editing images one at a time.

The API handles image and video operations including AI backgrounds, natural-language edits, upscaling, and generative resizing. It can process images from AWS S3, Google Cloud Storage, or a web folder, and Zapier can send edited or generated images to more than 6,000 apps. Those connections make Claid relevant to teams fitting image preparation into existing storage and app workflows. The default API limit is 4 requests per second and 120 per minute; higher limits are available on custom plans, so teams with heavier throughput needs should account for that constraint.

Claid states that it is GDPR and CCPA compliant, encrypts data in transit and at rest, and does not use customer data for model training. SOC 2 is in progress. API self-serve support includes documentation and standard support; enterprise options add a dedicated integration team.

Pricing

Claid has both free and paid offerings. The Free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and includes 50 credits for any operation, standard tools, and 50 API credits. That gives a small team a way to try both the tools and API, but the 50-credit allowance is a limited starting allocation rather than a substantial recurring production quota.

The Free trial provides 50 credits and 50 API credits. Essentials and Pro have monthly or yearly billing options, but no price is stated. Essentials includes 250 image upscales, 500 background removals, 125 AI Photoshoots, and one month of history. Pro raises those allowances to 1,000 upscales, 2,000 background removals, and 500 AI Photoshoots, with three months of history. The larger quotas and longer history make Pro the more suitable of the two for sustained work; Essentials is the smaller allowance for teams with lighter image volumes. The plan details do not establish seat counts or renewal terms.

Self-serve API credits are a one-time purchase with custom pricing. They cover 20 or more standard image and video operations and use the default limit of 4 RPS and 120 RPM. Business has custom pricing and adds advanced API workflows, custom SLAs and setup, dedicated support and onboarding, and early access to beta tools and research. It is the more relevant option for teams that need higher limits or closer integration support, rather than a fixed self-serve workflow.

Platforms

Claid is available on web and through an API. The API, storage connections, and batch processing suit teams automating image preparation; the web app serves users working directly with the suite.

Who it's for

Claid is a strong fit for ecommerce businesses and marketplaces that regularly generate or refine product imagery and want to connect that work to existing storage or apps. Its product-photography focus and range of operations are most useful when image preparation is a repeatable part of the workflow. A team with high API volume should consider whether the default request ceiling is sufficient or whether a custom plan is warranted.

Pros and cons

Pros: Product-photography focus aims to retain logos and product details, addressing a key risk in generated catalog imagery.
Pros: Batch processing, storage connections, and Zapier integration support repeatable workflows across existing systems.
Pros: The API covers both image and video operations, alongside a broad set of web editing tools.
Cons: The default API cap of 4 requests per second and 120 per minute may not suit high-throughput pipelines without a custom plan.
Cons: The Free plan's 50 credits are a small allowance for teams evaluating larger production workloads.

Alternatives

Choose Pixelcut if mobile access matters: it supports Android and iOS as well as web and API, with a free tier offering limited background removal and upscaling. Tagshop AI is worth considering when video output is central; its Starter plan is 29.00 USD per month for 50 monthly credits, up to five videos per month, and 1080p export.

Flair.ai offers a free tier with one custom model, five generated images, and one video generation, making it a relevant option for a small initial trial. Pebblely has a Lite plan at 9.00 USD per month with 30 images each month, more than 40 background themes, and custom prompts, for buyers prioritizing a lower-cost themed-background workflow.

Artboard may suit teams that value defined export and marketplace tools: its Pro plan is 24.00 USD per month and includes 500 credits, HD and 4K exports, marketplace size presets, and a commercial license. GreenOnion AI is another ecommerce-focused option, with a Creator plan at 19.00 USD per month that includes 60 credits and Amazon listing and A+ content image allowances.

Fotogenic AI and Pikes are also alternatives; Pikes offers a one-time trial allowance of 20 credits and a Starter plan at 49.00 USD per month.

Verdict

Claid is a good choice for ecommerce and marketplace teams that need product-focused image work, batch processing, and an API connected to existing storage. Its mix of editing tools and integration options is the main reason to choose it. Look elsewhere if a fixed, transparent price is essential or your API workload is likely to exceed the standard request limit without custom terms.
