Overview

Cliperoni combines ingestion, clip drafting, captions, and publishing in one workflow. Bring in material through an X Space or YouTube link, a podcast RSS feed, or a recording upload; it transcribes and processes the source, then highlights moments and drafts clips. You can also request clips by topic.

Its recurring-import workflow is useful for teams that publish from ongoing shows or channels: follow a podcast, YouTube channel, or X Space host and new episodes can import automatically. The usage model counts source-content minutes, not the length of the clips you export. That makes planning more straightforward for repurposing long recordings, though frequent source imports can consume the monthly allowance quickly.

Key features

Clip selection and formatting

Highlight detection scores moments for hook strength, while topic requests offer a more deliberate route to specific subjects. Speaker-tagged, word-timed captions and templates for vertical 9:16, square 1:1, and widescreen 16:9 cover common social formats. These tools reduce repetitive editing work, but teams still need to decide which moments fit their audience and brand.

Publishing and team workflows

Connected X, YouTube, and TikTok accounts can receive clips directly. Cliperoni also suggests post text for X and YouTube, not TikTok. Shared publishing accounts let multiple members publish under a client or company handle; the agency workflow adds per-team minute counters and unlimited team seats on Creator. That makes Creator the more natural tier for agencies managing multiple client rosters, while smaller teams may find its capacity and storage unnecessary.

B-roll and API access

AI B-roll suggestions are free, but generating cutaways costs extra through a prepaid balance or the user's fal.ai account. The feature is included on Clipper and Creator plans, but that inclusion does not remove the separate generation cost. Creator also includes a public API and documentation, alongside priority processing, giving it a clearer fit for teams building Cliperoni into a broader publishing workflow.

Pricing

Cliperoni is freemium, with no free trial. The Free plan is $0.00 USD per free, billed $0 forever. It includes 250 source minutes per month, 5 GB of cloud storage, one member, and a short Cliperoni outro on free clips. It is enough to assess a small workflow, but the single-member cap and branded outro make it a constrained choice for client-facing or collaborative publishing.

Clipper is $19.00 USD per month, billed $228 yearly; the page shows $19/month and $24. It raises the allowance to 600 source minutes and storage to 100 GB, allows three members, and removes the outro. This is the practical step up for a small team that needs regular imports and clean exports. The page's paid-from figure is $24/mo, so buyers should distinguish that from the plan's displayed monthly rate and annual billing amount.

Creator is $28.00 USD per month, billed $336 yearly; the page shows $28/month and $35. It includes 1,800 source minutes, 1 TB storage, unlimited members, a public API with docs, priority processing, and AI B-roll. It is aimed at higher-volume creators and agencies, especially where several people publish for clients. Those who do not need the larger quota, unlimited seats, or API may get more than they need.

One-time top-ups add minutes that never expire: the Small top-up pack costs $5.00 USD once for 100 minutes, the Medium costs $20.00 USD once for 500 minutes, and the Large costs $50.00 USD once for 1,500 minutes. These can cover occasional overages without changing tiers, though recurring heavy use is better matched to a larger monthly allowance.

Platforms

Cliperoni is available on web and through an API. Its publishing integrations connect to X, YouTube, and TikTok; AI-suggested post text is available for X and YouTube. A public API is included with Creator.

Who it's for

Cliperoni is best suited to podcasters, video creators, and agencies that repeatedly turn long-form sources into short, captioned social posts. Automatic imports and shared handles address ongoing and client-based publishing rather than one-off editing. Solo users testing the workflow can start free, but the member, storage, and outro limits make that plan less suitable for polished team output. Teams with occasional source material and no need for direct social publishing may not benefit enough from its workflow to justify a paid tier.

Pros and cons

Pro: Automatic imports from followed podcasts, YouTube channels, and X Space hosts can cut repeated ingest work for ongoing shows.
Pro: Source-minute quotas make usage track the length of material being processed, while non-expiring top-ups help with occasional spikes.
Pro: Shared publishing handles and unlimited Creator-tier seats suit agencies coordinating client accounts.
Con: The free plan is limited to one member and 5 GB of storage, and free clips carry a short outro.
Con: Generated B-roll cutaways cost extra even though suggestions are free and the feature is included on paid tiers.
Con: X and YouTube get AI-suggested post text, but TikTok does not.

Choppity is another freemium web and API option; its Free plan has one seat, one hour of AI video analysis, 2 GB of storage, and three-day project storage, so it may suit a single user prioritizing a small analysis allowance.
ClipEmber offers five free videos every month with file upload, a full editor, and manual download; consider it when a limited number of upload-based edits matter more than Cliperoni's recurring imports and direct publishing.
Headliner has a Forever Free plan with unlimited video and captioned clips, plus one unwatermarked audiogram per month and unlimited watermarked audiograms; it may fit users who value a broad free clip allowance.
OpenClip has a free tier with a demo project, tools access, 10 runs per day, and limits on input size and duration, with watermarks on visual outputs; choose it if that run-based allowance suits your workflow.
OpusClip offers a free tier with 60 credits per month and clips up to 1080p, but includes a watermark, no editing, and a three-day export window; it may suit users willing to work within those restrictions.
Podcli is free, with no watermark or minute cap, no subscription, and an AGPL-3.0 license; it is worth considering when those terms matter more than Cliperoni's integrated imports and social publishing.
Vizard has a free tier with 60 credits monthly, one social account, 60-minute uploads, and 720p exports; it may suit users whose volume fits those caps.
Klap is a paid option with yearly-billed plans starting at $14.00 USD per month for 100 clips per month, aimed at individuals; consider it when a clip-count plan is a better fit than Cliperoni's source-minute model.

Verdict

Choose Cliperoni if your team regularly converts podcasts, X Spaces, or videos into branded clips and wants imports, captions, and social publishing in one workflow. Its strongest case is for recurring production, especially agencies that benefit from shared handles and Creator's unlimited seats. Look elsewhere if you need generous free collaboration or predictable generated B-roll costs: the free tier is narrow, and cutaway generation remains an extra expense.
