Overview

Customers can sign through a link or QR code in a mobile browser, without an app or account. On site, businesses can use a tablet as a kiosk or let customers scan a kiosk QR code and sign on their own phones. That range suits both staffed counters and touchless intake. The limitation is clear: offline signing is not supported, so connectivity is required to collect signatures.

Each signed record includes the signer’s name and signature, IP address, timestamp and user agent, plus a downloadable PDF. CSV and PDF exports help businesses keep copies outside the service. WaiverDrop says data is encrypted in transit and at rest, backups are encrypted daily, and hosting is US-based; it also states compliance with the ESIGN Act and UETA. Account data is purged within 30 days after closure, so businesses should export records they need to retain before closing an account.

Key features

Templates and packets: Industry templates and a custom editor with configurable standard and custom fields support different intake needs. Packets group multiple documents in one signing flow while keeping each document as its own signed record, useful when a customer must complete several forms.
Booking-flow integration: Real-time waiver.signed webhooks and URL parameters for pre-filling signer information can connect signing to booking workflows. This is useful for teams automating intake; Enterprise is the plan that includes API access.
Operational controls: Automated reminders and guardian signing support common follow-up and signatory needs. Pro adds photo capture and ID scan, safety video, waiver expiration and auto-flag rules, giving businesses with more involved intake processes reasons to upgrade beyond the waiver quota alone.
Security and retention: Export tools support record portability, while the 30-day post-closure purge means businesses should not treat account access as a long-term archive.

Pricing

WaiverDrop is freemium, with no free trial. Starter costs 0.00 USD per free, billed forever, and includes 10 waivers per month, unlimited templates, document packets, kiosk and touchless mode, and webhooks. It is a useful ongoing option for very low-volume operators, but the cap is a hard stop: after the tenth waiver, new signatures wait until the next month or an upgrade. Existing records remain accessible.

Pro costs 15.00 USD per month, billed monthly, with annual billing also offered. It removes the waiver cap and adds custom branding, photo capture and ID scan, safety video, waiver expiration and auto-flag rules. This is the natural step for a single operator or small business whose signing volume exceeds Starter or that needs these intake controls.

Team costs 49.00 USD per month, billed monthly, with annual billing also offered. It includes unlimited waivers, up to 10 team members, role-based access and multi-location analytics. For businesses coordinating staff or locations, those controls are more relevant than Pro’s individual intake features; a team larger than 10 needs Enterprise.

Enterprise uses custom pricing on an annual contract and includes unlimited team members, SAML/SSO, API access and an SLA. It is aimed at organizations with centralized access or service requirements rather than small operators seeking a simple waiver workflow. The product includes 1 location.

Platforms

WaiverDrop supports web, iOS and Android, as well as API access. Kiosk and touchless kiosk options serve on-site signing, but no offline mode means it is a poor fit for locations that need to collect waivers without connectivity.

Who it's for

Gyms, tattoo studios, adventure operators, salons, martial arts schools, pet services, event organizers and yoga studios are the intended audience. It is strongest for small businesses that need several ways to collect signatures and want searchable records with export and workflow hooks. Low-volume businesses can stay on Starter; regular volume, multiple staff or more complex intake point toward Pro or Team. Businesses requiring offline signing should look elsewhere.

Pros and cons

Pro: Link, QR, kiosk and touchless kiosk signing cover both customer-owned phones and a shared tablet station.
Pro: Packets keep each document as its own signed record, while webhooks and prefilled signer details can support booking workflows.
Pro: CSV and PDF exports provide a route to retain records beyond the account’s closure window.
Con: Starter stops accepting signatures at 10 waivers per month, making it a trial of fit rather than a free option for growing demand.
Con: No offline signing rules it out for disconnected locations.
Con: Team is capped at 10 members; larger organizations must take an annual custom-priced Enterprise contract.

Alternatives

Consider Digital Waiver Software or Gym Waiver Software when comparing options across those categories. ClickWaiver is worth considering if a free trial or a Pro plan with 3 users, 1 location, white-labeling and API plus webhooks better matches the evaluation needs; its Pro plan is 29.00 USD per month.

Survtapp is an alternative with a free plan capped at 100 responses per month, 3 forms, 3 users and 2 kiosk devices, so compare it if those limits suit the workflow. WaiverForever offers 20 free submissions per month on its Starter Plan, making it a candidate for operators who need more free monthly submissions than WaiverDrop’s Starter allows.

Happy Waiver starts at 5.00 USD per month and offers a free trial. Smartwaiver is a paid option with a free trial and a 7.00 USD per month storage plan for retaining waiver and customer data without collecting waivers. WaiverElectronic has a 11.99 USD per month Basic plan for the first year, then 14.99 USD per month starting year two, with 70 digital waivers per month and Excel export.

WaiverSign is a paid alternative with a Growth plan at 19.00 USD per month, including 100 waivers monthly and a charge for each additional waiver. WaiverFile offers a booking plan with no monthly fee but a 6% booking fee, rounded up to the nearest whole dollar, plus separate Stripe processing fees; choose it when that transaction-based model is preferable.

Verdict

WaiverDrop is a good fit for small, connected businesses that want customers to sign from their phones or a kiosk and need exportable, searchable records with packet and webhook support. Its strongest reason to choose it is the combination of flexible signing and practical document workflows. Look elsewhere if offline collection is essential, or if a 10-waiver free ceiling and paid upgrade are poor fits for your volume or budget.
