Overview

FF Logs turns Final Fantasy XIV combat records into tools for reviewing encounters, player performance, and team results. It suits players, raid groups, and developers focused on FFXIV data. Its narrow game focus is also its clearest boundary: choose it for encounter analysis, not as a general game-stat tracker.

Key features

Reports, rankings, and diagnosis

Players can record and upload combats, then analyze encounters in real time. Raid-progress, speed, and execution rankings give groups several ways to assess results, while job-balance statistics broaden the view beyond a single fight. Match history, player profiles, team statistics, live statistics, and leaderboards make the service useful for following individual and group performance.

Death Statistics can show how often players die, which mechanics cause deaths, and how much overkill they take. That makes the service more useful for diagnosing recurring encounter problems than a ranking alone, though its analysis remains tied to FFXIV combat.

App and API

The homepage links to a downloadable app, and subscriber ad-free viewing applies within uploader applications. Developers get a public GraphQL v2 API with OAuth 2.0 authentication using client credentials. A private API can access private reports, but requires user permission. The distinction matters for integrations: public data has a defined authentication path, while private-report access depends on authorization from the user.

Pricing

FF Logs has a free plan, but its stated paid benefits make subscriptions relevant for frequent uploaders, groups, and API users. Silver costs 2.00 USD per month (billed $2 / month) and adds ad-free viewing, faster report processing, and a Silver Discord role. It is the modest upgrade for users who want a cleaner viewing experience and quicker processing; it does not include the archive access or higher API quotas of upper tiers.

Gold costs 5.00 USD per month (billed $5 / month). It includes Silver benefits, estimated percentile during encounters, a custom character banner, reports more than two years old, and an API limit of 9,000 points per hour. The archive and quota make Gold the more practical choice for users maintaining older report histories or building API integrations with greater demand.

Platinum costs 10.00 USD per month (billed $10 / month). It includes Gold benefits, an 18,000-point-per-hour API limit, custom FC and Static banners, Multiple Report Analysis, faster FC and Static report processing, and archived FC and Static reports. It is aimed at groups needing the additional analysis and processing features, rather than individual users who only review their own reports.

Archon Alchemical Society costs 25.00 USD per month (billed $25 / month). It includes Platinum benefits, early access to future product releases and Report Components, and a special Discord role and channels. This tier is for users who value early access and community privileges; its higher price is difficult to justify solely for the listed analysis and API features, which Platinum already includes.

The free plan provides an entry point, but older reports and higher API limits are paid-tier benefits. Those caps make the free option less suitable for long-term archive access or heavier API use.

Platforms

FF Logs supports web, Windows, macOS, and Linux, as well as API access. Its supported game is Final Fantasy XIV, so platform breadth does not make it a multi-game service.

Who it's for

Choose FF Logs if you play or organize Final Fantasy XIV and need encounter diagnosis, performance rankings, team statistics, or report access through an API. Groups that revisit older reports or analyze multiple reports have a reason to consider Gold or Platinum. Developers should weigh the hourly API limits against their intended usage and note that private-report access requires user permission. Players seeking tracking across other games should look elsewhere.

Pros and cons

Pros: Death and mechanic statistics help groups identify failure patterns rather than relying only on rankings.
Pros: A public GraphQL v2 API and a separate permission-gated private API support both public integrations and authorized private-report workflows.
Pros: Paid tiers scale archive access and hourly API limits, with Platinum adding group-oriented report analysis and processing.
Cons: Its scope is limited to Final Fantasy XIV, making it a poor fit for teams needing cross-game coverage.
Cons: Access to reports older than two years and increased API quotas requires a paid tier, which may constrain long-term or high-volume use on the free plan.

Alternatives

For another game-stat directory, see Game Stat Trackers; for damage-meter options, see Game Damage Meters. Warcraft Logs is the closest alternative for users focused on Warcraft rather than FFXIV, with a free plan and Silver and Gold subscriptions at the same listed monthly prices as FF Logs. For players wanting a tracker centered on Fortnite, Fortnite Tracker offers a free plan and supports Android, iOS, web, Windows, and API access. The remaining alternatives are OP.GG, U.GG, Valorant Tracker, Porofessor, Mobalytics, and Dotabuff.

Verdict

FF Logs is the right choice for FFXIV players and raid teams that need detailed encounter review, rankings, and an API-backed route to report data. Its strongest case is the combination of death analysis and team statistics with progressively higher archive and API access on paid plans. Look elsewhere if you need a multi-game platform, or if the free plan's limits on older reports and API use do not fit your workflow.
