Overview

Compport brings salary reviews, incentives, pay equity, and related employee communications into a configurable workflow. Its breadth is useful when compensation decisions span multiple programs and approval paths, while the quote-based model makes it harder to assess fit before a sales conversation.

The platform covers merit cycles, bonus planning, long-term and sales incentives, candidate offer letters, total rewards statements, and HR analytics. Salary review workflows, approval workflows, budget controls, and compensation bands support the core mechanics of planning and review. The range is substantial, but it is not a general HR suite: Compport explicitly handles total rewards communication rather than benefits enrollment or administration.

Key features

Configurable planning and controls

Organizations can configure plans, workflows, and rules for complex global operations. That flexibility is valuable when compensation processes differ by region or program, though the need to tailor rules may bring more setup and governance work than a simpler, standardized review cycle.

Integrations and auditability

Compport supports bulk uploads, APIs, and SFTP, with validation and reverse integration for approved results. It also lists native bi-directional API integrations with Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, ADP, Darwinbox, UKG, and BambooHR. These paths can help teams move approved outcomes back into HR systems, but the best fit depends on whether an organization’s stack and data processes align with the supported options.

Date- and time-stamped audit records capture calculations and overrides, giving compensation teams a way to trace changes. CompportIQ describes role-aware access, human approval before records change, full audit trails, and tenant-isolated data that is not used to train models. The homepage displays ISO 27001, GDPR, SOC 2, CCPA, and VAPT badges, and describes encryption at rest, SSL protection, backups every five minutes for 30 days, and multi-zone disaster recovery centres.

Total rewards communication

Personalized total rewards statements draw on compensation data and are delivered through an employee self-service portal. This extends the platform beyond planning into employee communication, but does not replace a benefits administration system.

Pricing

Compport is paid, with custom pricing that varies by headcount, plan complexity, and modules. Prospective customers are directed to schedule a demo, after which the company says it will make contact. Without a public price or self-serve plan, buyers should expect to scope requirements with sales before comparing total cost.

The single Compport plan has no published price. The available pricing approach gives larger organizations room to match cost to scope, but offers no lower-cost tier or free plan for teams wanting to start with a limited workflow. No trial terms, seat caps, or renewal terms are stated.

Platforms

Compport is available on web and through an API. The API option matters for teams integrating compensation workflows into existing systems; the product’s stated platform coverage does not include mobile apps.

Who it's for

Compport is aimed at large, global organizations with complex compensation plans and workflows. It is a stronger fit where multiple incentive programs, approvals, HRIS connections, and auditability must work together than for a small employer looking only for basic salary reviews. CompportIQ reports more than 300 customers, operations in 37+ countries, and experience supporting 1.5M+ users.

Teams that need benefits enrollment or administration will need another product for that work. Organizations that prioritize transparent upfront pricing or a free entry plan may also prefer to compare alternatives before engaging in a demo process.

Pros and cons

Pros: Broad coverage across merit, bonuses, equity, incentives, offers, analytics, and total rewards statements helps consolidate compensation work.
Pros: Configurable workflows, budget controls, approvals, and compensation bands suit complex planning processes.
Pros: Data exchange options and named bi-directional HRIS integrations can connect planning outcomes to established HR systems.
Cons: Custom, quote-based pricing makes cost comparisons and initial budgeting less direct.
Cons: Benefits enrollment and administration are outside the platform’s stated scope.
Cons: Buyers must schedule a demo to begin the sales process; there is no stated free plan or trial.

Verdict

Choose Compport if your organization needs configurable compensation planning across global programs, with HRIS connections and traceable approvals in the same platform. Its breadth and governance features are the main reasons to shortlist it; custom pricing and the absence of benefits administration are the clearest reasons to look elsewhere.
