Overview

Splan combines package pre-registration and tracking with tools for outgoing deliveries, recipient notifications, and delivery exceptions. Staff can document proof of delivery with a signature or photo, and record failed attempts or unavailable recipients for rescheduling or redirection. That makes it a stronger fit than a basic parcel log for teams that need a consistent record of handoffs and follow-up.

A centralized dashboard tracks package activity, while analytics cover delivery trends and workflow bottlenecks. The combination can help teams see recurring operational issues, but organizations seeking a self-serve purchase or an upfront budget figure will need to work through sales.

Key features

Package intake and tracking: Pre-registration and package tracking help staff match expected deliveries with received parcels. Standard includes unlimited package delivery, so there is no stated volume cap to plan around.
Recipient notifications: Employees can receive email, SMS, or phone-call alerts. Standard includes email notifications; SMS and emergency notification integrations are add-ons, so teams relying on those channels should account for additional costs.
Delivery evidence and exceptions: Signatures or photos provide digital proof of delivery, while failed attempts and unavailable recipients can be recorded for rescheduling or redirection. These tools suit mailrooms where accountability and a defined exception process matter.
Access and reporting: Staff can work through self-service kiosks, the SignInEasy mobile app, or a web portal. Reports and dashboards are included in Standard, giving teams multiple access points alongside visibility into package activity.

Pricing

Splan is paid, with Standard priced as “Book a Demo”; organizations must contact sales for a personalized quote. Standard includes unlimited package delivery, role-based access, Active Directory integration, pre-registration, email notifications, lobby workstation and kiosk check-ins, and reports and dashboards. No seat or package quota is stated for the plan.

Standard's unlimited package volume is useful for teams with variable or high parcel counts, but the sales-quoted model makes comparison and budgeting less direct than a published subscription. SMS, Teams, Slack, and emergency notification integrations are add-ons. Organizations that need those channels should include them in their quote rather than assume they come with Standard.

Platforms

Splan supports Android, API access, self-hosted deployment, and web. Its solutions also support cloud and on-prem deployments, giving organizations a choice of hosting approach. The mobile app includes mailroom package tracking and delivery notifications. That range is useful for teams balancing mobile or kiosk access with integration or deployment requirements.

For security-conscious organizations, Splan says customer data is encrypted in transit and at rest using TLS and AES-256, and isolated by tenant. It states that it has SOC 2 Type 2 attestation and ISO/IEC 27001 certification.

Who it's for

Splan is a sensible shortlist candidate for workplaces with a mailroom that need unlimited package delivery, documented handoffs, exception management, and visibility into operational trends. Its role-based access and Active Directory integration also suit organizations that want the delivery workflow connected to directory-based access management.

It is less compelling for small teams that prioritize a published price, a free tier, or a simple self-serve buying process. It may also be a poor fit when SMS, Teams, or Slack integration is essential and the add-on cost does not fit the budget.

Pros and cons

Pro — Unlimited package delivery in Standard: Teams do not face a stated package-volume ceiling.
Pro — Documented handoffs and exceptions: Signature or photo proof and rescheduling or redirection workflows help keep delivery records actionable.
Pro — Flexible access and deployment: Android, web, kiosks, API access, and cloud or on-prem deployment support varied operating environments.
Con — Custom pricing: Buyers must request a quote, which makes upfront cost comparison harder.
Con — Key notification integrations cost extra: SMS, Teams, Slack, and emergency notification integrations are add-ons rather than included Standard features.

Alternatives

Browse Mailroom Management to compare other products in the category. Choose Parcel Tracker instead if a free plan capped at 100 parcels per month or published monthly tiers for unlimited parcels better suit your budget. WookiPost offers free-plan availability and plans organized around buildings, rooms, residents, and parcels, which may fit residential operations better. Consider ConnX Mailroom as another paid option.

TekTrack may suit buyers who prefer a published Cloud price of 99.00 USD per month and unlimited recipients and users. Envoy Deliveries is another paid option, with an Enterprise plan at 250.00 USD per month billed annually, excluding the platform fee, and unlimited deliveries. Smart Lockers Mailroom is another paid option to consider. Castatus Deliveries and PitneyTrack Inbound are web-based paid alternatives.

Verdict

Choose Splan if your organization needs unlimited package volume, documented delivery exceptions, and flexible access or deployment in a mailroom workflow. Its combination of tracking, proof of delivery, and analytics is the central reason to shortlist it. Look elsewhere if you need transparent pricing or essential SMS and collaboration-tool integrations included without add-on charges.
