Overview

Conviso’s focus is coordinating application security work rather than treating scan results as isolated findings. It organizes assets, consolidates vulnerabilities, and connects architectural threats with test and scan results. Remediation workflows, finding correlation, ownership mapping, risk prioritization, and SBOM management support a program-level view of work.

The cloud-only deployment is a constraint for teams that require self-hosting. Conviso says it is certified in ISO 27001 and ISO 20000 standards. Founded in 2008 and headquartered in Curitiba, Brazil, it serves organizations from startups to large corporations.

Key features

Testing and risk context

The platform’s testing scope includes SAST, DAST, IAST, SCA, and container testing. Connecting these findings with assets and architectural threats can help teams prioritize remediation in context; teams should weigh that breadth against the plan and contract limits before adopting it.

Development workflow and integrations

Listed integrations include GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, Jira, Slack, Snyk, Semgrep, ServiceNow, and Microsoft Teams. Developers plan users also get the AppSec Agent AI, described as providing diagnostics, fixes, and support within the development cycle. These features make the paid tier the relevant choice for teams seeking developer-facing assistance, not just centralized vulnerability tracking.

API and support

The GraphQL API supports queries and mutations for projects, vulnerabilities, and scans, with a documented limit of 1,200 requests per minute. That gives teams a defined way to connect platform data to their own tooling. The listed support SLAs are 48 hours for Free and 24 hours for Developers.

Pricing

Conviso uses a freemium model. The Free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and includes up to 5 contributing developers, 5 assets, 10 users, and 2 integrations. Its caps suit a small evaluation or limited deployment, but teams with more developers, assets, or integrations will need to consider the paid plan.

Developers costs $19 per contributing developer per month, billed $2,040 charged per year, with unlimited assets, users, and integrations. It includes the AppSec Agent AI and a 24-hour support SLA. The contributing-developer count is based on commits to associated repositories in the preceding 30 days, so the price depends on recent repository activity rather than a fixed seat count.

Paid service has a 12-month minimum contract, with monthly or annual payment options and a stated 20% discount for annual payments. The annual charge and minimum term are important tradeoffs for teams moving beyond the capped Free plan: monthly payment does not remove the contract commitment.

Platforms

Conviso Platform is available through web and API access. Deployment is cloud-based only, so it is not suitable for teams that require an on-premises installation.

Who it's for

Conviso is best suited to teams that need to consolidate application security findings, map ownership, and connect remediation work to assets across existing development and issue-tracking tools. The Free plan gives smaller teams a way to start within its caps; Developers fits teams needing more capacity and AI assistance, provided they accept the annual contract commitment. Organizations requiring self-hosting or greater contract flexibility should look elsewhere.

Pros and cons

Pros: Combines vulnerability management, testing, asset context, and remediation workflows, supporting a more connected AppSec program.
Pros: Integrations span source control, CI, issue tracking, security tools, and collaboration platforms, while GraphQL access supports custom connections.
Pros: The Free plan has no charge and supports up to 5 contributing developers, 5 assets, 10 users, and 2 integrations.
Cons: Free is tightly capped on developers, assets, and integrations, limiting its usefulness as a larger program grows.
Cons: The paid plan requires a 12-month minimum contract, even when paying monthly.
Cons: Cloud-only deployment rules out teams that need an on-premises option.

Alternatives

Foxnode ASPM is worth considering when a free option with Linux and self-hosted platforms matters.
Phoenix Security offers a free tier for up to 1,000 assets, with 2 Premium Users plus guests and community support; its Professional plan is 1495.00 GBP per month.
Strobes ASPM has a free plan for up to 100 assets and 500 tasks per month, plus a free trial and self-hosted platform support.
OWASP DefectDojo is an alternative for teams seeking an open-source community edition with self-hosted support.
Legit Security ASPM is another paid ASPM option.
OX Security is worth comparing for teams seeking a stated toolset that includes SAST, SCA, secrets/PII, SBOM, IaC, CI/CD, container scanning, IDE, and CLI.
Veracode Risk Manager is another paid risk-management option.
Checkmarx API Security is worth considering when API security is a priority alongside SAST, SCA, and ASPM.

Verdict

Choose Conviso Platform if your team needs a central AppSec view that links vulnerabilities to assets and development workflows, and the cloud-only model fits your environment. Its free plan provides a bounded starting point, while Developers adds capacity and AI support. The main reasons to look elsewhere are the 12-month paid commitment and the lack of self-hosted deployment.
