Overview

Planner 5D is a 2D and 3D design tool for home, landscape, and office projects. It is best suited to people who want to work through layouts and furnishings visually, from homeowners to design studios. Its broad device support and business integrations widen its reach, but subscription and sync terms deserve attention.

Founded in 2011 and headquartered in Vilnius, Lithuania, Planner 5D combines floor-plan creation, room furnishing, and visualization. It is a strong fit for exploring a space before committing to a design; teams needing reliable cross-platform continuity should check the Android subscription restriction first.

Key features

Plan and furnish in 2D and 3D

Users can draw floor plans, furnish and decorate rooms, and switch between 2D and 3D views. That makes the product useful for moving between a practical layout and a more spatial view of the same project. The free tier retains core 2D/3D design and unlimited projects, though it limits access to half of the furniture catalog.

AI and visualization

Planner 5D describes AI tools for generating ideas, exploring layouts, and testing styles. Real-time scenes, 360° tours, VR/AR support, and AI visualization tools are also among its capabilities. These make it a broader visual design option than a plan-drawing tool alone, though the plan descriptions do not establish which tiers include every visualization capability.

File workflows and integrations

Users can upload JPG, PNG, PDF, DWG, and DXF floor plans for recognition; PRO users can export 2D plans in DWG or DXF. Importing common image and CAD formats can help bring an existing plan into a project, while export is reserved for PRO users. Business integration options include Open API, SSO, CRM, e-commerce, shopping carts, ERP, and DataStore connectivity. The B2B integration combines a JavaScript API with a server-to-server REST API, with access provisioned after signing.

Projects sync across supported devices when used with the same account, but Android-only subscriptions do not support cross-platform synchronization. That is a material caveat for users who expect to move freely between phone, desktop, and web.

Pricing

Planner 5D is freemium, with a free plan, a free trial, and paid subscriptions. The stated starting price is $19.99/mo, while the plans with itemized terms include:

Plan	Price and term	What it includes	Best fit
Free	0.00 USD per free; no time limit	Unlimited projects, core 2D/3D design, and 50% of the furniture catalog	People who want to explore the workflow without a time limit and can work within a partial catalog.
Premium	59.99 USD per year; pay annually	Floor-plan upload and conversion to a 3D project, full premium furniture catalog, standard renders, and budget widget	Homeowners and planners who need imported plans and broader furnishing options without the professional render and CAD features.
Professional	399.99 USD per year; pay annually	Unlimited 4K renders, custom 3D model uploads, 360° walkthroughs and panoramas, and CAD export	Designers or studios for whom high-resolution output, custom models, immersive presentations, or CAD export matter.
Enterprise	Custom pricing	White-label room planner, 3D product configurator, APIs, and cart, CRM, and ERP connections	Businesses building Planner 5D capabilities into their own customer or commerce workflows.

The free plan's principal trade-off is access to only half the furniture catalog. Premium adds the full premium catalog and useful plan-import workflow, but it does not include the Professional plan's unlimited 4K renders, custom model uploads, walkthroughs, panoramas, or CAD export. Enterprise is the relevant route for embedded business capabilities rather than an individual design subscription.

Subscriptions auto-renew. Cancellation must be completed at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid another charge. No seat allowance is stated for the individual plans.

Platforms

Planner 5D is available on Android, iOS, macOS, web, and Windows. Supported devices can share projects through the same account, except that an Android-only subscription does not support cross-platform synchronization. Mobile viewing is supported.

Who it's for

Homeowners, renovators, and design enthusiasts can use Planner 5D to work through room and property layouts; its stated audience also includes interior designers, architects, and studios. The free tier is a reasonable starting point for personal projects, while Professional's exports and presentation features better suit practitioners who need those specific outputs. Businesses seeking APIs, white-label planning, or commerce and system connections should consider Enterprise.

Planner 5D says it uses reasonable organizational and technical safeguards for personal data, while acknowledging it cannot guarantee absolute security. For education use, it says it does not sell student data or process it for AI training or advertising. Support contact: support@planner5d.com.

Verdict

Planner 5D is a strong choice for homeowners and design teams who want one tool for 2D/3D layouts, furnishing, and visual presentation, with a useful upgrade path to CAD export or business integrations. Choose it for that breadth and device coverage, but look elsewhere if Android-to-desktop sync is essential on an Android subscription or if the free catalog cap is too restrictive.
