Overview

CustomsLogIQ is a cloud-based customs classification and trade-compliance platform for brokers, importers, manufacturers, and compliance teams handling goods in Canada or the United States. It is most compelling for teams that need reviewable classification drafts and compliance checks in one workflow; it is not a substitute for customs filing.

Backed by Logistics and Customs Services Inc., a cross-border trade services company operating since 1996, the platform combines classification, screening, landed-cost calculation, and audit records. Its value depends on having a qualified professional review recommendations and make the final decision.

Key features

Classification drafts from varied inputs

CustomsLogIQ drafts 10-digit HS and HTS codes with GIR/GRI reasoning. Users can provide commercial invoices, product photos, PDFs, images, CSV files, or Excel XLSX files; bulk uploads are supported. This range of inputs can suit teams processing mixed product documentation, while the review-and-override workflow keeps classification decisions with the professional rather than the software.

Compliance screening and audit records

Checks cover Canadian government agencies, U.S. ACE Partner Government Agencies, sanctions, duty, taxes, and available FTA opportunities. Landed-cost calculation adds a cost view, but the platform does not file customs entries. It records reasoning, cited rulings, reviewed headings, broker decisions, and timestamped activity, with PDF or CSV export. For teams that need a record of how a decision was reached, this is a practical strength.

Monitoring, security, and integration

Trade Compliance and higher plans recheck classifications monthly and alert users to relevant regulatory changes. CustomsLogIQ states that it uses TLS 1.3 encryption and separate databases by country, and that it neither uses classification data to train AI nor shares it with third parties. Enterprise clients can configure data residency and request a private instance. Enterprise also includes API and webhook integration, useful for teams connecting the workflow to existing systems; named external integration partners are not part of the offering described here.

Pricing

The freemium structure gives teams a way to start without a subscription, while paid plans add volume, team functions, monitoring, or integration. The trade-off is that monthly plans carry a 12-month agreement, so they suit sustained workloads better than occasional classification needs.

Free: 0.00 USD per free, with signup and no card required. It includes 3 credits each month, then $1 per credit, and supports Single and Vision classification with manual, one-item-at-a-time entry. This is a low-commitment way to try the workflow, but it lacks bulk processing and team features.
Credit Packs: 1.00 USD per once, billed at $1 / credit with volume discounts to $0.77 per credit. Packs range from $100 for 110 credits to $5,000 for 6,500 credits; credits never expire. This suits variable or one-off workloads and includes bulk processing and all classification types, but not a subscription-based compliance workspace. Email support is included.
Trade Compliance: 495.00 USD per month, billed $495 /mo or $5,049 /yr paid annually, with a 12 month agreement required. It includes 500 credits each month, compliance monitoring, audit and reporting, a team workspace, priority support, and purchased credits that roll over forever. It fits teams that need recurring checks and shared records; the agreement is a substantial commitment if usage is intermittent.
Broker CRM: 695.00 USD per month, billed $695 /mo or $7,089 /yr paid annually, with a 12 month agreement required. Marked Coming soon, it includes 700 credits each month, a full CRM and team workspace, priority support, and purchased credits that roll over forever. It targets brokers seeking CRM capabilities alongside classification, but is not a current option to rely on.
Enterprise: custom pricing based on volume. It includes SSO and API access, dedicated support and onboarding, custom volume, and data residency. This is the fit for organizations needing configurable scale or deployment controls, rather than a published fixed price.

Platforms

CustomsLogIQ is cloud-deployed and offered through web and API platforms. The API and webhook integration is included with Enterprise, so teams needing programmatic connections should weigh that plan's custom pricing against their integration requirements.

Who it's for

CustomsLogIQ is best suited to customs brokers and trade teams working across Canada and the United States that want classification research, compliance screening, and documented review in a shared process. Free and Credit Packs accommodate light or uneven usage; Trade Compliance is better aligned with regular monitoring and team workflows. It is a poor fit for organizations that need automated filing or want the software to own final classification decisions.

Pros and cons

Pro: Multiple document and image inputs, plus bulk uploads, can reduce friction when classification work arrives in varied formats.
Pro: Screening, landed-cost calculation, monthly monitoring on qualifying plans, and exportable audit records bring several trade-compliance tasks into one workflow.
Pro: Free monthly credits and non-expiring Credit Pack credits let occasional users avoid a recurring subscription.
Con: It is a drafting and research aid, not a customs filing system; a professional must review and decide.
Con: Trade Compliance and Broker CRM require 12-month agreements, making them less suitable for seasonal or unpredictable demand.
Con: API and webhook integration sit in Enterprise, whose price is custom, limiting predictable budgeting for teams that need those connections.

Verdict

Choose CustomsLogIQ if your Canada- or U.S.-focused trade team needs reviewable classification drafts, compliance screening, and an audit trail without committing every user to a full trade-management suite. Its strongest case is joining those tasks with flexible credit purchasing and monthly monitoring on higher plans. Look elsewhere if you need filing automation, or if a 12-month agreement and a professional's final review do not fit your operating model.
