Overview

DailyBot brings standups, retrospectives, and team updates into Slack, Microsoft Teams, Google Chat, or Discord, with AI summaries and workflows that can act on check-in responses, schedules, or team events. That combination makes it more than a standup collector: teams can use it to surface blockers, recognize contributions, and automate follow-up without code.

Its fit depends on how much history and automation a team needs. Starter allows unlimited members but limits an organization to 50 compiled reports each month and 14 days of history. Advanced adds unlimited history, a public API, AI workflows, CLI access, and an agent skill pack, which are relevant for teams integrating coordination into broader development workflows.

Key features

Automated check-ins: Standups, retrospectives, and team updates provide a recurring structure for async coordination. Teams that want only simple status collection may not need the additional workflow and culture tools.
AI reporting: AI summarizes standup reports, detects blockers, and generates insights from responses. These capabilities can reduce the effort of reviewing updates, though AI summaries are only included in Essentials and above.
No-code workflows: Actions can be triggered by check-in responses, schedules, or team events. This is useful for teams that want routine coordination steps to happen without building custom automation.
Chat and work integrations: Native chat support covers Slack, Microsoft Teams, Google Chat, and Discord. Connectors include GitHub, Bitbucket, Jira, ClickUp, Shortcut, Linear, Google Calendar, Integrately, and Zapier, giving teams several ways to connect check-ins to existing work tools.
Team culture: Kudos, mood tracking, and recognition add a people-focused layer alongside status reporting, which may suit distributed teams seeking regular signals beyond task progress.
Security and privacy: DailyBot says it is SOC 2 Type II compliant, encrypts data in transit with TLS 1.3 and at rest with AES-256, and hosts on AWS in the U.S. It says it does not store conversations and processes only events where it is directly involved.

Pricing

DailyBot is freemium, with paid plans starting at $2.40 per active user per month. Unlimited members appear across all tiers, but the free plan is constrained by report volume and history rather than seats.

Starter — 0.00 USD per free: Free for everyone, with one workspace per organization, unlimited members, up to 50 compiled check-in reports per organization each month, and 14 days of history. This is a low-friction way to try recurring check-ins, but the shared organization cap and short history can limit its usefulness for teams that need dependable records.
Essentials — 2.40 USD per month: Billed at $2.40 per active user per month, with annual billing discounts available. It adds unlimited compiled reports, six months of history, AI summaries, and integrations. It suits teams that want sustained reporting and AI summaries without needing the API or unlimited history.
Advanced — 5.00 USD per month: Billed at $5 per active user per month, with annual billing discounts available. It includes unlimited reports and history, AI-generated reports, a public API, AI workflows, CLI, and agent skill pack. Teams building more deeply around DailyBot's reporting and automation have the clearest reason to pay for this tier.
Enterprise — custom pricing: Includes everything in Advanced plus SLA agreements, priority support, data protection agreements, white-glove onboarding, and dedicated API integration support. It is the tier for organizations that need contractual service commitments or implementation support. Enterprise customers also receive dedicated customer success managers.

Customers can contact support through in-app chat, email, or the Help Center. The monthly per-active-user pricing makes Essentials and Advanced scale with usage; Starter avoids that cost but trades away unlimited reports and longer history.

Platforms

DailyBot is available as an API, extension, and web product. Its chat integrations are a practical advantage for teams that want check-ins to live where conversation already happens, while the Advanced API, CLI, and agent skill pack extend its reach for teams building developer workflows around it.

Who it's for

DailyBot is best suited to distributed teams, especially product and engineering groups that need regular async updates, blocker visibility, and workflow triggers across chat and project tools. Teams working with AI agents may also value the CLI and agent skill pack in Advanced. It is less compelling for groups that need only a lightweight standup prompt and have no use for summaries, integrations, or automation.

Pros and cons

Pro: Unlimited members on every plan avoids a seat ceiling as a team grows.
Pro: Multiple native chat platforms and connectors to common development and project tools support use across an existing stack.
Pro: Essentials is a relatively low-cost step up from the 50-report cap, adding unlimited reports and six months of history.
Pro: Advanced combines unlimited history with API, CLI, and AI workflow features for deeper integration.
Con: Starter's 50 compiled reports per organization each month and 14-day history are restrictive for teams relying on reports as a lasting record.
Con: The public API, AI workflows, CLI, and agent skill pack require the $5-per-active-user Advanced tier.
Con: The advertised $2.40 entry price is per active user per month, so the total grows with active usage.

Verdict

DailyBot is a strong choice for distributed product and engineering teams that want chat-based check-ins to feed summaries, blockers, and no-code workflows. Its unlimited-member plans and broad chat and work integrations make it adaptable, while Essentials is the sensible step up when Starter's report cap and short history become limiting. Look elsewhere if your needs stop at basic standups, or if you require API and agent workflow features but cannot justify Advanced's per-active-user cost.
