Overview

Design.com is a web-based design platform aimed at startups, entrepreneurs, and businesses creating digital and print materials. Its mix of logo generation, brand assets, and a website builder can simplify the work of preparing a basic business identity. It is less compelling when a business needs exclusive logo rights, downloadable font files, or access to multiple library logos under one subscription.

Key features

The logo generator uses a business name or prompt and keywords to produce options that users can filter and customize. A selection of logos is downloadable on the free plan, including vector PDF, EPS, and SVG files alongside JPG and PNG. Logo downloads also support transparent exports; animated logos can be exported as MP4 and GIF. These formats give small businesses flexibility for common digital and print uses, though font files cannot be downloaded because they remain exclusive to the platform.

Design.com lists more than 50 tools, including business cards, flyers, posters, presentations, link-in-bio pages, background removal, and business or domain name tools. A brand kit helps bring assets under one identity. The website builder adds templates, brand colors and logo, contact forms, online payments, hosting, and custom-domain connection. It can link to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn. That breadth is valuable for a new business preparing multiple materials, but the logo subscription still covers only one logo, with unlimited edits and variations for that design; choosing another library logo requires another subscription.

The standard logo license included with packages is non-exclusive, so other customers may purchase and use the same design. Commercial use rights are included, but that does not make the logo exclusive. Teams that need distinct ownership should weigh this limitation before building a brand around a library design.

Pricing

Design.com has a free plan and paid plans from $3/mo (annual). The Free plan is listed at 0.00 USD per free, billed $0 monthly. It includes AI logo generation, full customization, a brand kit, high-resolution PNG and JPG downloads, vector EPS, SVG, and PDF files, and commercial use rights. Free logo downloads make it possible to start without paying, though only a selection of logos is downloadable.

Starter costs 9.00 USD per month, billed monthly, and includes 50+ design tools and 630,000+ templates. It suits users seeking a wider design toolkit, but the plan description does not include the website builder. Value costs 14.00 USD per month, billed monthly, and adds the website builder to everything in Starter; it is the more suitable tier for businesses building a site as well as design assets. Premium costs 19.00 USD per month, billed monthly, and adds link-in-bio tools and digital business cards to everything in Value. That makes it the broadest fit for businesses that need those specific formats, rather than a necessary upgrade for every user.

Regardless of tier, a subscription provides access to one logo, with unlimited edits and variations for that logo. A different library logo requires an additional subscription, so users considering several candidates should factor that constraint into their choice. The standard license remains non-exclusive, and font files are not downloadable.

Platforms

Design.com is available on the web. Its privacy policy says DesignCrowd Pty Ltd, which trades as Design.com, uses SSL with 128-bit encryption, PCI-compliant payment gateway providers, and AWS technology, and does not store complete credit card data. The company is subject to Australia's Privacy Act and says it adheres to standards including GDPR and CCPA. Support is available at support@design.com; professional designer support for additional design needs carries an additional fee.

Who it's for

Design.com is a practical fit for entrepreneurs and small businesses that want to create a logo, prepare print and digital collateral, and potentially build a basic website within one web platform. The free plan can serve someone starting with a downloadable logo and common image or vector formats. Businesses that need exclusive logo rights, downloadable logo fonts, or several distinct library logos should look elsewhere or account for the extra subscription requirement.

Pros and cons

Pro: Free downloads include selected logos in vector formats as well as PNG and JPG, giving a new business usable assets without an initial subscription.
Pro: The combination of 50+ tools, brand kit, and website builder can cover several launch needs in one service.
Pro: The website builder supports contact forms, online payments, hosting, custom domains, and social links, which gives businesses a route from brand assets to a public-facing site.
Con: Paid access covers one logo; another library logo requires an additional subscription, limiting how freely users can compare or switch designs.
Con: The standard logo license is non-exclusive, so another customer may use the same design.
Con: Logo font files cannot be downloaded, which limits users who need those files outside the platform.
