Overview

AI.dp brings OCR, classification, conversion, verification, and fraud detection into one document workflow. It supports more than 50 document types out of the box and can be trained for custom types; teams can choose from more than 150 extraction fields. This breadth is useful when a process spans different records, while requiring teams to define what to extract and how exceptions should be handled.

Batch processing of thousands of documents in parallel supports high-volume operations. The platform is more than a text scanner: workflows can route documents through intake, extraction, business-rule approvals, and human validation. That flexibility is valuable when automated results need oversight, but it also makes workflow design part of implementation.

Key features

Field and document configuration: Teams select extraction fields and can train custom document types. Supplier, line-item, and tax extraction, plus PO matching, cover common finance and procurement needs.
Workflow design and review: A drag-and-drop builder and prompt builder support intake, extraction, and validation. Operators can correct OCR results through human review, or workflows can use business-rule approvals; this is a practical safeguard where errors need a defined resolution path.
Integration and output: APIs, SDKs, async APIs, and documentation support implementation, while connections to more than 200 business apps and custom API connections help fit existing systems. Outputs include JSON, XML, CSV, XLSX, UBL, PDF, and TXT; structured data can also be exported in more than 20 formats.
Data controls: Doxis says customer data is not stored by default and is processed under a data processing agreement. Security provisions include ISO 27001 and ISAE 3000 Type I certifications, GDPR and CCPA compliance, SSL encryption, and EU hosting. Servers are in Amsterdam by default, with custom locations available on request.
Language coverage: Latin-based languages are supported, with work to expand coverage to additional languages. Teams processing documents in other scripts should confirm fit before committing.

Pricing

Doxis AI.dp is paid, has no free plan, and offers a free trial. The listed starting point is €95/mo. The Free credits plan is shown as 0.00 EUR per free, with €25.00 worth of free credit, pay-as-you-go usage billed monthly. That gives teams a way to try usage-based processing, but it is not a continuing free plan.

Custom pricing depends on volume, workflow complexity, and subscription plan. This is the relevant route for larger or more involved deployments, but buyers should assess expected document volume and workflow requirements against a quote rather than assume the entry price will cover them.

Platforms

AI.dp is cloud-deployed and available through web, API, Android, and iOS. API and SDK documentation supports integration into existing applications, and Doxis says implementation can generally be completed within a day. That is a useful target for straightforward connections, not a guarantee for every workflow or custom integration.

Who it's for

Finance, transportation and logistics, manufacturing, KYC, and retail are among the stated use cases. AI.dp is strongest for teams in these areas that need to process varied documents at scale, route exceptions, and connect verified data to business systems. It is less compelling for teams needing a free ongoing tier or broad coverage beyond Latin-based languages.

Pros and cons

Pro: More than 50 ready document types, custom training, and over 150 extraction fields accommodate varied paperwork rather than a single narrow document category.
Pro: Workflow routing combines automated rules with human correction, giving teams a way to handle OCR exceptions within the process.
Pro: Batch processing, APIs, SDKs, and more than 200 business-app connections support high-volume operations and integration into an existing stack.
Con: There is no free plan, and the entry point is €95/mo, so teams evaluating options without a budget should look elsewhere.
Con: Language support is centered on Latin-based languages, which limits fit for workflows dominated by other scripts.
Con: Custom pricing varies with volume and workflow complexity, making costs harder to compare before requirements are defined.

Alternatives

For a different balance of cost, deployment, and scope, consider these options:

Nanonets Accounts Payable Automation is worth considering when a free plan and an accounts-payable focus suit better than AI.dp's broader paid document workflows.
Unstract may fit teams that want a self-hosted open-source option, including a free one-user plan, rather than cloud-only deployment.
Extend is an option for teams seeking a free-credits pay-as-you-go starting point without a monthly minimum or contract.
Kudra offers a free starter plan with 100 pages uploaded per month, one workflow, and one user, which may suit a small-scale evaluation.
Parseur provides a free plan capped at 20 pages per month for one user, with 90-day retention, for teams whose needs fit that allowance.
Reducto has free usage and supports self-hosting, making it a candidate for teams that value those options.
super.AI Document starts with a free 25,000-credit allowance for one to three users, a lower-commitment route for small teams.
Veryfi Invoices OCR API may suit teams focused specifically on invoice OCR and wanting the listed Android and iOS support.
Compare the broader Intelligent Document Processing Software, Invoice OCR Software, AI OCR Software, and Resume Parsing Software categories if you are still narrowing the type of tool you need.

Verdict

Choose Doxis AI.dp if your team needs configurable document processing that combines extraction, routing, and human validation across varied, high-volume workflows. Its key advantage is joining broad document coverage to workflow controls and integration options. Look elsewhere if a continuing free plan or support beyond Latin-based languages is central to your requirements.
