Overview

Drivers record signatures, photos and job notes on a phone or tablet, replacing paper-based delivery records with job-linked digital evidence. The app’s strongest fit is a business that already depends on InfoTech’s systems and wants to connect delivery completion with office visibility and, where enabled, billing.

InfoTech says it serves skip hire, waste collections, haulage, aggregate delivery, construction and fuel delivery. The company started in 1994 and was incorporated in 1997. Teams outside that operational and software ecosystem should compare standalone delivery tools before adopting this app.

Key features

Evidence attached to jobs

Drivers can capture a customer signature, add notes and photograph loads, damage or delivery locations. Photos attach to the job record; signatures carry a timestamp, and GPS coordinates are recorded against each proof of delivery. Together, these details give office staff more context when resolving a delivery query than a bare completion status would.

Offline capture and customer receipt

The app stores data locally when a driver is offline and syncs automatically when connectivity returns. That reduces the risk of losing the delivery record in areas with patchy coverage, though the office cannot rely on a live update until the device reconnects. On completion, the app can email the customer a PDF proof of delivery.

Office status and connected workflows

Office staff can see real-time completed, outstanding and failed delivery status. The app integrates with InfoTech weighbridge software and Cloud ERP, and POD records can be linked to weighbridge tickets. If billing integration is active, a delivery can trigger an invoice automatically. These connections make the app more compelling as part of an InfoTech workflow than as a general-purpose mobile proof-of-delivery tool.

Privacy and support

InfoTech’s privacy policy says the app may require personally identifiable information and may use third-party services, including Google Play Services. The company says it uses commercially acceptable safeguards but cannot guarantee absolute security for internet transmission or electronic storage. InfoTech provides a support email and an online support portal.

Pricing

InfoTech POD App

The plan is free. That covers the app, not the complete system needed to use it: InfoTech weighbridge software version 3 or later and a purchased POD licence are required. There is no standalone free tier described, so the zero app price is most relevant to existing InfoTech customers, not teams shopping for an independent POD system. No seat or usage caps are stated.

Platforms

The app is available on Android and iOS, with API access. The mobile platform coverage suits driver workflows across the two major phone ecosystems, while API access supports integration needs; the system dependency remains a more important fit question than platform breadth.

Who it's for

Choose InfoTech Proof of Delivery App if your operation already uses InfoTech weighbridge software and needs drivers to capture signatures, photos and notes while office staff track completed, outstanding and failed jobs. It is especially relevant to the industries InfoTech names, including skip hire, waste, haulage, aggregates, construction and fuel delivery.

Look elsewhere if you need a proof-of-delivery app that can be adopted without InfoTech weighbridge software and a POD licence. The free app price alone does not make it a low-cost standalone choice.

Pros and cons

Useful delivery evidence: signatures, timestamps, GPS coordinates, notes and job-attached photos give teams several forms of context for a completed delivery.
Resilient capture: local storage and automatic sync support work in areas without a reliable connection.
Connected office workflow: real-time status, weighbridge-ticket links and optional automatic invoicing can reduce handoffs for businesses already on InfoTech systems.
Not standalone despite the free price: a compatible InfoTech weighbridge installation and purchased POD licence are prerequisites, limiting its appeal to new or mixed-stack buyers.
Privacy caveat: the maker does not guarantee absolute security for transmitted or stored electronic information, a point teams handling personal data should weigh against their own requirements.

Alternatives

Maxmove Digital POD is worth considering if you want a freemium POD option with a free entry tier, free trial, Android, iOS, web and API coverage; its listed free tier is free and cancellable monthly.

SmartCourier may suit a small operation wanting a defined starter allowance: its free one-month Starter includes up to 3 runners, 1 branch, a basic web dashboard, GPS tracking, mobile app access, photo evidence and API access.

PODStar is another Android, web and API option, with custom pricing.

Civica Complaints Management is an alternative with Android, iOS, web and API platforms and pricing by enquiry.

DQT Proof of Delivery is a paid alternative with Android, iOS, web and API platforms.

SimplyDepo may be a better fit for teams looking for plans organized by team size, from 1–5 reps to 16–49 reps; it has a free trial but no free plan.

Track-POD is worth comparing if an annual commitment and explicit driver and order limits fit your buying process: its Advanced plan is 49.00 USD per month, billed annually, with a 3-driver minimum, 7 dashboard web-users and 6,000 orders per month.

Transvirtual ePOD is another Android, iOS, web and API option, priced from $0.40 per contact; its pricing page does not specify the billing period or currency.

Verdict

InfoTech Proof of Delivery App is a sensible choice for InfoTech weighbridge customers who want mobile evidence capture, offline syncing and office delivery status in one connected workflow. Its job evidence and potential billing integration address practical delivery operations, but the weighbridge and licence prerequisites are decisive. If you are not already committed to InfoTech’s software, choose a POD product that can stand on its own.
