Overview

GregMat is a test-preparation service built around study plans, practice tools, and instruction for several exams. It suits learners who want guided preparation across GRE, GMAT, TOEFL, or IELTS without committing to a conventional high-cost course. Its strongest case is breadth at low monthly prices; its limits are exam exclusions and a free tier that offers only a small sample of the paid experience.

Key features

Plans and practice

GregMat combines revision plans, adaptive practice, full-length mock tests, and memorization tools. That mix gives self-directed learners more structure than a question bank alone, while the free account lets prospective subscribers try a practice test, sample plan, and Vocab Mountain before paying. Paid GRE plans expand access to study plans and practice resources; separate GMAT and TOEFL plans focus on those exams.

Classes and resources

GregMAT+ subscribers can attend all live classes each week and watch recordings in the member area. This is useful for learners who benefit from scheduled instruction but still need an on-demand option. Classes use official ETS quantitative and verbal guides, while generally avoiding ETS practice-test material. Video downloads work through the app, not the website, so offline study is an app-dependent benefit.

Community and accessibility

Community discussion runs through forums rather than Discord, with support also available from a support team. The site supports common Windows accessibility tools, and videos have automatic subtitles. People with visual or auditory impairments can request a free trial before subscribing. Students with approved break accommodations must use Untimed mode and time themselves manually, a less convenient approach to timed practice.

Exam coverage

Coverage spans GRE, TOEFL, IELTS, grammar, admissions, and statement-of-purpose advice. GregMat does not cover GRE Subject Tests, SAT, or ACT, and it does not guarantee GRE score increases. It is therefore a poor fit when a student needs one of those excluded exams or is choosing a provider based on a promised score outcome.

Pricing

The free account costs 0.00 USD per free and includes three GRE full practice tests, selected free videos and practice resources, and the first modules of selected study plans. Free practice exams and tools are also available without a subscription. This is a useful low-risk starting point, but it is not equivalent to full access.

GregMAT+: 11.99 USD per month for new subscribers, with GRE study plans, live and recorded classes, practice and memorization tools, and app access. It is the main choice for GRE learners who want instruction alongside structured practice.
GregMAT+ with PrepSwift: 14.99 USD per month for new subscribers, adding PrepSwift bite-sized videos and quizzes to GregMAT+.
GregMAT for GMAT: 3.00 USD per month, including a GMAT study plan, videos, practice problems, and memorization tools.
GregMAT for TOEFL: 3.00 USD per month, including TOEFL study resources, practice problems, and vocabulary tools.

PrepSwift costs an extra $3 per month. New-subscriber pricing took effect on July 15; eligible existing subscribers keep their old rate while maintaining a valid subscription. GregMAT+ and GregMAT+ with PrepSwift also have six-month options, but custom pricing applies. The TOEFL and GMAT services are also priced at 3.00 USD per month. The low-cost exam-specific plans are a more economical fit than GregMAT+ when a learner needs only GMAT or TOEFL resources, but they do not include the GRE class package.

Platforms

GregMat supports web, iOS, Android, and macOS on M1 or higher. App access matters for video downloads, which are not offered on the website; learners who primarily study in a browser should not count on offline viewing.

Who it's for

GregMat is best suited to budget-conscious GRE learners who want plans, practice, and recurring live or recorded instruction in one service. Its separate GMAT and TOEFL subscriptions make it relevant to those exam candidates too, while IELTS, grammar, admissions, and SOP coverage broaden its scope. Choose another provider if you need SAT, ACT, or GRE Subject Test preparation, or if approved-break timing must be handled without a manual workaround.

Pros and cons

Pro: GregMAT+ combines weekly live classes, recordings, study plans, and practice tools, giving GRE learners both structure and flexible review.
Pro: GMAT and TOEFL plans cost 3.00 USD per month, making focused exam preparation accessible without buying the broader GRE subscription.
Pro: The free account includes three GRE practice tests and sample study materials, so learners can assess the format before subscribing.
Con: GRE Subject Tests, SAT, and ACT are outside its coverage, ruling it out for those test paths.
Con: Video downloads require the app, limiting offline study for web-only users.
Con: Approved-break students must use Untimed mode and self-time, adding friction for accommodation-aware practice.
Con: GregMat does not guarantee GRE score gains, so it cannot suit buyers seeking an outcome promise.

Verdict

GregMat is a strong fit for budget-conscious GRE candidates who want structured plans and regular instruction rather than practice questions alone. Its broad exam coverage and inexpensive GMAT and TOEFL plans extend its appeal, but excluded exams, app-only video downloads, and manual timing for approved breaks are meaningful constraints. Choose it for affordable, class-supported preparation; look elsewhere when your exam or accessibility workflow falls outside that model.
