Overview

Resos is a commission-free reservation and table-management system for restaurants, cafés, bars, and pubs. It suits venues that want to connect online bookings with day-to-day table and guest management. Its appeal is a broad operational toolkit and API access; the 25-booking free-plan cap and paid add-on requirements can make the headline free offer a narrow fit.

Key features

Bookings and table operations

Venues can add a booking link or widget to a website and social media without coding, and guests can book through Google Search, Maps, or Assistant with availability syncing automatically. Reserve with Google is a separate paid add-on that requires a paid Resos subscription, and availability depends on the restaurant’s country. That makes it important to confirm eligibility and the extra cost if Google is a core booking channel.

A visual table planner shows tables and occupancy, while waitlist management, deposits or prepayment, and multi-location support give the system scope beyond a basic booking form. The monthly booking caps still matter: venues with fluctuating demand should choose capacity with room to spare.

Guest service and integrations

Automatic guest profiles support more tailored service, while SMS and email reminders are designed to reduce no-shows. Resos names Stripe, Trustpilot, and Facebook integrations, and says custom integrations can be created with Zapier. A developer API offers another route for connecting existing systems, which is useful for teams that need to fit reservations into a broader stack.

Resos says guest data is stored on an encrypted platform, connections use SSL, and the service is GDPR-compliant. Guest and booking data can be exported to CSV on demand. Free personal support and a personal setup call may help smaller teams get started, though they do not remove the free plan’s booking or add-on limits.

Pricing

Resos uses a freemium model. The Free plan has 25 bookings per month, core features, and personal support, but add-ons are unavailable. It is free forever and best treated as a way for a low-volume venue to run the core workflow, not as a complete option for one that needs paid extensions.

Basic is 4523.00 EUR per month, billed Monthly -50% for 1 month, and allows 350 bookings per month with all core features and paid add-ons available. Plus is 8543.00 EUR per month on the same billing and discount terms, with 750 bookings per month. Unlimited is 12563.00 EUR per month on those terms, with unlimited bookings. All three paid plans include all core features and paid add-ons available free for 30 days, then billed separately. Basic fits venues whose volume exceeds Free but stays within 350 bookings; Plus raises that ceiling to 750; Unlimited removes the monthly booking quota. The 90-day money-back guarantee applies to paid plans.

The paid plan terms make add-on budgeting particularly important: Reserve with Google is not included indefinitely, and its availability also depends on country. The listed monthly prices and introductory discount should be checked against the venue’s intended billing arrangement before committing.

Platforms

Resos is available on Android, iOS, and the web, and provides an API for integrations.

Who it's for

Resos is a strong candidate for independent venues and multi-location operators that want bookings, table planning, guest profiles, reminders, and integration options in one system. It is less compelling for a venue that expects more than 25 monthly bookings but cannot justify a paid plan, or one that needs Reserve with Google without an extra charge.

Pros and cons

Pros: Booking links, social media booking, and Google booking options cover several guest entry points; the planner, waitlist, deposits, and multi-location support extend the operational scope.
Pros: API access, named integrations, and CSV export provide routes to connect systems and retain guest and booking data.
Pros: Free personal support and a setup call offer direct onboarding help.
Cons: Free is limited to 25 bookings per month and excludes add-ons, so it may not support a busy venue’s full workflow.
Cons: Reserve with Google is a paid add-on on a paid subscription and is country-dependent, adding both cost and eligibility considerations.
Cons: Paid plans impose distinct monthly booking ceilings except Unlimited, so selecting a low tier can constrain growing or seasonal demand.

Alternatives

Favouritetable is worth considering for a venue that can stay within 30 online bookings a month and wants a free-for-life plan with onboarding and no contract.

simpleERB is another option to compare for its free trial and free training-college plan.

TabTake Reservations may suit a one-location operator focused on orders, though its Direct plan excludes reservations.

Anolla offers basic online table reservations on a free plan, with paid features activated as needed.

MyResApp is an alternative for qualifying restaurants among the first 5,000 covered by its permanent free initiative.

Tableo is an option for venues comparing annual pricing and plans that include multiple booking channels.

OpenTable GuestCenter is a paid alternative with a 30-day free period; its Basic plan is available only in the US.

Resy is a paid alternative with reservation and table management, advanced customization, and event ticketing on its Essential plan.

Verdict

Choose Resos if your venue wants reservation handling, table operations, guest management, and integration paths in one commission-free system. The main reason to look elsewhere is a mismatch between booking volume and plan limits, or a need for Google bookings without a separately priced add-on.
