Overview

Shoppers can search a catalog in plain language, speak a query, or upload a photo to find visually similar products ranked by similarity. That mix gives stores more ways to surface products than text search alone, while keeping the focus on catalog discovery rather than a general-purpose assistant. The site widget puts those search modes in front of shoppers; API access gives technology partners another route to integration.

The REST API accepts JSON, uses an API key for each store, and requires HTTPS. Keys are restricted to the registered domain, a useful boundary for store-specific access. Image uploads are capped at 10 MB and audio uploads at 25 MB, so unusually large inputs will not fit. Voice search supports more than 100 languages out of the box.

Key features

Search and analytics

Text, image, and voice search are included across the listed plans. For visual queries, similarity-ranked catalog matches make the feature directly relevant to stores whose shoppers may know what an item looks like but not what to call it. The analytics dashboard reports search volumes and trending queries, and shows usage and quotas. Multiple websites can sit in one account, which is useful for teams overseeing several storefronts; website and monthly search caps still determine how much of that footprint fits each paid tier.

Integrations and security

Integration guides cover Shopify, WooCommerce, Webflow, Wix, vanilla JavaScript/HTML, and custom CMS platforms. That range gives teams with different storefront stacks a documented starting point, though the API and per-store key model still require implementation work. Ecomvis says it is committed to GDPR compliance and uses encryption, secure servers, and access controls to protect data. Stripe processes payment details; Ecomvis says it does not store or access full card information.

Pricing

Ecomvis has a free plan and paid tiers. The pricing note says paid plans start at $29/mo, while plan entries show different figures: for example, Starter Monthly is 9.00 USD per month and also shows $29/mo. Compare the figures before committing, rather than assuming they represent the same charge. Yearly plans likewise show a plan price and a separate displayed figure.

Free: 0.00 USD per free, with 50 AI searches per month, one website, all three search modes, API access, and community support. This is a low-commitment way to assess fit, but its search allowance and single-site cap constrain ongoing use.
Pay As You Go: 0.00 USD per month, billed monthly; the page also shows $0.05/mo. It includes unlimited searches, unlimited websites, all search modes, API access, and advanced analytics. The displayed $0.05/mo figure makes the actual charge worth clarifying before use.
Starter Monthly: 9.00 USD per month, billed monthly; also shows $29/mo. It provides 5,000 searches per month across three websites, analytics dashboard, API access, and email support. It suits a small footprint that needs more than the free cap.
Growth monthly: 29.00 USD per month, billed monthly; also shows $49/mo. With 15,000 searches and 10 websites, it adds advanced analytics, priority support, and custom widget branding. This is the more capable multi-site tier without Pro's higher allowance.
Pro monthly: 69.00 USD per month, billed monthly; also shows $89/mo. It raises the caps to 75,000 searches and 25 websites, retaining advanced analytics, priority support, and custom branding for larger footprints.
Starter Yearly: 89.00 USD per year, billed yearly; also shows $108/yr. It has the same 5,000 monthly searches, three websites, dashboard, and email support as Starter Monthly.
Growth yearly: 279.00 USD per year, billed yearly; also shows $348/yr. It matches Growth monthly's 15,000-search, 10-site limits and added support, analytics, and branding.
Pro Yearly: 659.00 USD per year, billed yearly; also shows $828/yr. It matches Pro monthly's 75,000 searches, 25 websites, advanced analytics, priority support, and custom branding.

Yearly plans preserve the same monthly search quotas as their monthly counterparts, but charge by the year. Users may cancel anytime and retain access through the end of the billing period; payments are generally non-refundable unless required by law. Support is listed at support@ecomvis.com, with sales@ecomvis.com and info@ecomvis.com for integration help.

Platforms

Ecomvis is available as a web product and API. It has no mobile app or browser extension, so teams seeking a standalone mobile search app should look elsewhere; its shopper-facing widget and API are the relevant surfaces for storefront use.

Who it's for

Ecomvis fits online store owners who want shoppers to search products by text, image, or voice, and technology partners integrating discovery into store platforms or custom CMSs. The free tier suits a single-site evaluation or modest search volume. Multi-site operators can move to Growth or Pro as their site count and query volume rise. It is a weaker fit for stores that need a mobile app, or for teams unwilling to verify the differing displayed price figures before purchase.

Pros and cons

Pros: Text, image, and voice search in one shopper widget widen how customers can find catalog products.
Pros: Guides for major commerce platforms and custom CMSs, plus a JSON REST API, make it relevant to varied stacks.
Pros: Multi-site analytics and higher-tier search allowances support teams managing several storefronts.
Cons: Search quotas and website caps on Free, Starter, Growth, and Pro can force an upgrade as traffic or footprint grows.
Cons: Several plans show a second price figure that differs from the named plan price, so the charge is not immediately clear.
Cons: There is no mobile app or browser extension, limiting use outside the web widget and API.

Alternatives

For another ecommerce visual-search API with a free tier, compare FindLume; its supplied plan information includes a one-website Build option at 79.00 EUR per year, while Ecomvis offers text, voice, and image search in its free plan. Pictr.ai is worth comparing if a free widget is the priority: its free plan lists up to 50 products, 100 searches per month, and one API key. Trooply Visual Search API is another free API option, with 50 products, 1,000 API calls per month, a 10-requests-per-minute limit, and image plus text search.

PixelHUT Discovery Engine is a paid alternative with Android, iOS, web, and API platforms. For consumer visual search rather than a store integration platform, Pinterest Lens is free and requires a Pinterest account, while Google Lens is free across a broader set of listed platforms. i spy is a free-to-download option for Android and iOS, though some features may require a paid subscription. Alibaba Image Search is a paid web option whose supplied plans include 100,000 images and 1 QPS for 300.00 USD per month, or 2,500,000 images and 5 QPS for 800.00 USD per month.

Verdict

Ecomvis is a strong fit for ecommerce teams that want multimodal product discovery, an integration API, and analytics across multiple websites. Its range of input modes and platform guides are the main reasons to choose it; its plan caps and conflicting displayed price figures are the reasons to compare carefully or look elsewhere. Confirm the charge and choose a tier around both monthly searches and website count before adopting it.
