Overview

Focus To-Do combines a task list with a timer that assigns execution time to tasks and keeps focus until the session ends. The same app can hold work or study plans, shopping lists, birthday reminders, and schedules, making it useful beyond formal project work.

The strongest case for it is the connection between planned work and recorded time. Tasks and projects can include estimated Pomodoro counts, and reports can show completed tasks, work time by day, week, or month, and the share of time spent on each project. That gives an individual a way to review workload and habits, though teams choosing software for a larger stack should note that the listed product capabilities center on personal task and focus management rather than team workflows.

Key features

Timer and task planning

Timer sessions can be paused or resumed, with adjustable work and break lengths, short or long breaks, skipped breaks, and continuous mode. This flexibility suits people whose work rhythm does not fit a single fixed interval. Tasks can be organized into projects, assigned recurring due dates and reminders, split into subtasks, given color-coded priorities and notes, and annotated with estimated Pomodoro counts. These tools keep planning close to the focus session, although someone who only needs a basic countdown may not need the surrounding task system.

Reports and synchronization

Historical reports cover work time, completed tasks, daily, weekly, and monthly time, and project time ratios. That is useful for personal review and seeing where effort goes, rather than just counting completed items. Focus To-Do syncs across devices including iPhone, Mac, Android, Windows, iPad, and Apple Watch, with broader coverage across Android, iOS, macOS, Windows, web, and an extension. Cross-device access is a practical advantage when work moves between devices, but it requires accepting the product’s data practices.

Privacy and data retention

Users can work in local mode without registering, but local data cannot sync and is lost if the app is uninstalled. Registered premium-member data is transmitted to devices using SSL encryption; synced task data is collected for synchronization, and the company says it will not read list and task content. Personal information collected and generated by the product is stored in the People’s Republic of China. Local mode avoids registration but is a poor fit for anyone who needs a recoverable, multi-device task history.

Pricing

Focus To-Do has a free plan at 0.00 USD per free, offered as a free download with in-app purchases. It is a sensible starting point for users who want to assess the task-and-timer approach without a stated subscription charge, but the free-plan feature caps are not defined. Premium is offered as a 3 Months purchase at 3.99 USD per month, billed 3 Months. A Premium plan and a Lifetime plan are also named without prices, so users considering either should confirm the cost before choosing. No seat limits, quotas, renewal terms, or trial length are stated.

The three-month option is the only priced paid term and suits someone who wants Premium for a defined period at a known monthly rate. Free is the lower-commitment choice, but its limits are unclear; the unpriced Premium and Lifetime options cannot be compared on cost from their names alone.

Platforms

Focus To-Do covers Android, iOS, macOS, Windows, web, and an extension, with synchronization also described for iPad and Apple Watch. This breadth suits people who switch between desktop and mobile devices. Someone who deliberately keeps task data on one device can use local mode, provided they accept that uninstalling the app removes that data.

Who it's for

Choose Focus To-Do if you want a structured task list, flexible Pomodoro controls, and reports that connect completed work with time spent, especially across several device types. It also fits people who want reminders and recurring tasks alongside focused work. Look elsewhere if a standalone timer is enough, if task data must remain recoverable without sync, or if your team needs collaboration capabilities beyond the task and focus functions described here.

Pros and cons

Pro: Flexible session controls, including custom work and break lengths and continuous mode, can accommodate different focus routines.
Pro: Projects, subtasks, priorities, reminders, recurring tasks, notes, and time estimates keep task planning with the timer.
Pro: Reports break down work by time period and project, helping users assess effort as well as task completion.
Pro: Broad platform coverage and synchronization support moving between desktop and mobile devices.
Con: Local data does not sync and is lost on uninstall, so local mode is unsuitable as the sole home for important task history.
Con: Synced personal information is stored in China, a consideration for users with data-location requirements.
Con: The free plan’s caps and the prices for Premium and Lifetime are unclear, limiting cost comparison before purchase.

Verdict

Focus To-Do is a strong fit for individuals who want task planning, adaptable Pomodoro sessions, and time reports in one cross-platform app. Its main reason to choose is the way task structure and time review work together. Look elsewhere if you need a simple timer, a more clearly bounded free plan, or local data that survives uninstalling without relying on synchronization.
