Overview

Kivicube is a WebAR creation and publishing platform for teams that want interactive scenes to run in a phone browser rather than a dedicated app. It suits creators and businesses building browser-delivered experiences, especially when web embedding or several tracking modes matter. Its non-commercial entry plans are useful for exploring the workflow, but business use requires Advanced or Enterprise.

Key features

Visual scene creation: A drag-and-drop editor, templates, and asset uploads let teams build scenes without coding. That makes it approachable for marketing and content work, though the low-tier scene caps constrain how much can be maintained at once.
Multiple AR tracking modes: Image, world, body, face, landmark, 3D object, and rotation tracking cover a broad range of possible experiences. This flexibility is a strength for varied campaigns, but the plan’s experience or recognition quotas still determine how far a deployment can scale.
Browser-based delivery: Scenes can be shared by link or QR code and opened in a phone browser without a separate app. That removes an installation step for viewers, a practical advantage for retail, tourism, education, and marketing deployments.
Web integration: The WebAR plugin, API, and iframe embedding provide options for adding scenes to Shopify or other website product pages. Teams choosing a web storefront can integrate the experience into the page rather than send visitors to a separate destination.
Basic usage reporting: The dashboard tracks total page views and user views, offering a simple view of reach. Those measures are useful for checking exposure, but they are not a basis for assuming richer engagement analytics.

Pricing

Kivicube is freemium. The Basic plan is 0.00 CNY per free and includes 2 scenes, 500 scene experiences, non-commercial use only, ads, and a 30M model upload limit. It is a sensible starting point for a small personal project, but its experience cap, ads, and explicit commercial restriction make it unsuitable for a business launch.

Personal costs 79.90 CNY per year (billed ￥79.9/ Year). It raises the allowance to 4 scenes and 5,000 scene experiences, with a 50M model upload limit, but remains non-commercial and includes ads. It therefore buys more room for personal work, not commercial rights.

Advanced costs 5300.00 CNY per year (billed ￥5300/ Year) and is the first plan with commercial rights. It allows 10 scenes, 100K image cloud recognitions per year, and 50 QPS scene entry. This is the relevant tier for a business deployment that can operate within those limits.

Enterprise costs 10600.00 CNY per year (billed ￥10600/ Year) and includes unlimited scenes, 1M image cloud recognitions per year, one-on-one technical support, and QPS expansion. It is the fit for larger deployments needing more recognition capacity or expanded throughput. Basic and Personal receive email support within 72 hours; Advanced within 48 hours. No separate free-trial term is given, and the free allowance is 2 projects.

Platforms

Kivicube is a web platform with Android, iOS, and API support. Its app plugin documentation specifies WebAR SDK support for iOS 11+ and Android 7+, while system WebView support is iOS 14.3+ and Android 5.0+ with system WebView support. Teams should check those requirements against their intended audience’s devices.

Who it's for

Kivicube fits teams in retail, marketing, education, tourism, and art that want to create and distribute browser-based AR scenes. Its embedding and API options are useful when the experience needs to sit on a product page or connect to a web workflow. It is a weaker choice for a commercial project on a limited budget: Basic and Personal prohibit commercial use, so the paid business entry point is Advanced.

Pros and cons

Pro: Several tracking modes, browser sharing, and website embedding give creators multiple ways to build and distribute WebAR without requiring viewers to install an app.
Pro: Advanced and Enterprise explicitly include commercial rights, with Enterprise adding unlimited scenes and one-on-one technical support.
Con: The two lower plans are non-commercial and include ads, so they cannot serve as a low-cost business deployment.
Con: Basic is limited to 2 scenes and 500 experiences; Personal raises those caps but still limits work to 4 scenes and 5,000 experiences.
Con: Advanced’s 10-scene allowance and 100K annual image cloud recognitions may be restrictive for a broad rollout compared with Enterprise.

Alternatives

For a wider comparison, browse AR Creation Software. Choose BlippBuilder if a free plan for creating and testing projects is useful and publishing can wait for a paid plan. MyWebAR is another freemium option, with a free Creator plan capped at 100 views per year, 100 MB storage, and 5 projects.

STYLY offers a free Creator plan with limited commercial use and support for smartphones and HMDs. JigSpace may suit teams looking for a free plan with 3 active Jigs, 3 steps, 100MB team storage, and 2 user seats. Reality Composer is a free option for iPhone and iPad that requires iOS 17.0 or later or iPadOS 17.0 or later.

WorldCAST is worth considering when a free plan with unlimited monthly views, no expiry, commercial use, and basic analytics is the priority. Creo is a paid alternative with web, desktop, and mobile platforms. ARLOOPA Studio is another web-based freemium option.

Verdict

Kivicube is a strong fit for teams that need a browser-delivered AR scene with multiple tracking choices and practical embedding routes. Its main advantage is combining visual creation with link, QR, API, plugin, and iframe publishing options. The main reason to look elsewhere is cost-sensitive commercial work: the free and Personal plans are non-commercial, making Advanced the starting point for business rights.
