Overview

LayCor brings the rental booking cycle into one system: customers can browse items and packages, select dates and quantities, and book online, while staff manage inventory, contracts, dispatch, and invoices. Customers can also use a portal to review events, request add-ons, sign contracts, and pay. That breadth is useful for businesses coordinating several moving parts per event; it is less compelling for operators who only need basic job scheduling.

Key features

Bookings and rental inventory

Online customers can choose items or packages, dates, and quantities before booking. Inventory statuses distinguish available, reserved, on-site, and cleaning items, helping staff avoid promising equipment already committed to another event or not yet ready for return. Quote building, rental contracts, and return tracking round out the rental workflow.

Delivery and customer service

A dispatch board lets businesses set delivery and pickup times, assign crews, and track completion. The customer portal handles event updates, add-on requests, signatures, and invoice payments without requiring every interaction to pass through staff. This combination is especially relevant when delivery coordination and customer changes are a regular part of the rental job.

Payments and integrations

LayCor supports card payments through Stripe and Square, including online deposits and invoice payments. It also connects with QuickBooks, Google Maps, Twilio, and email; QuickBooks Online supports two-way sync. The Professional plan includes API access, while Starter does not, making that tier difference important for teams planning custom connections.

Mobile access

The field-worker view runs in smartphone browsers on iPhone and Android without an app-store download. That removes an installation step for crews, though the product’s platform list also includes Android, iOS, web, and API access.

Pricing

LayCor has no free plan, but offers a 14-day free trial without a credit card, month-to-month billing, and cancellation at any time. The base plan has no LayCor transaction fees and includes unlimited users, bookings, events, and customers.

Starter — 49.00 USD per month: Unlimited users and bookings/jobs, with add-ons at full price. It fits rental businesses that need the core workflow and can operate without the Professional plan’s API access or included SMS allowance.
Professional — 99.00 USD per month: Unlimited users, 50% off all add-ons, about 500 SMS messages per month, and API access. The higher monthly cost is easier to justify for businesses that use add-ons, need integrations through the API, or send customer texts regularly.
Enterprise — custom pricing: Multi-location management, custom integrations, SLA and phone support, a dedicated account manager, and on-site training. It is aimed at organizations whose locations or support needs exceed the standard tiers.

Unlimited users across the first two plans can suit teams with seasonal or field staff, while add-ons are the main cost distinction between Starter and Professional: full price on Starter, half price on Professional. The 14-day trial gives a short window to assess whether the booking and dispatch workflow fits before committing.

Platforms

LayCor supports Android, iOS, web, and API access. Crews can use the smartphone-browser field view on iPhone or Android without downloading an app, while API access is included with Professional.

Who it's for

LayCor is a strong fit for party and event rental businesses handling weddings, corporate events, birthday parties, festivals, or graduations, particularly when they manage delivery crews, reusable inventory, customer contracts, and payments together. Businesses with multiple locations or a need for custom integrations may find Enterprise better suited. A small operator seeking only estimates and basic scheduling may be paying for more rental-specific workflow than it needs.

Pros and cons

Pro: Unlimited users, bookings, events, and customers on the $49.00 USD per month base plan leave room for a growing operation without per-seat or booking caps.
Pro: Inventory status tracking plus delivery dispatch addresses two operational risks for rental teams: double-booking equipment and losing visibility into fulfillment.
Pro: Customer self-service covers add-on requests, signatures, and invoice payments, reducing reliance on staff for routine event tasks.
Con: Starter charges full price for add-ons, so businesses that depend on them may find Professional’s higher price more economical.
Con: API access is reserved for Professional, which makes Starter a narrower fit for teams planning programmatic integrations.
Con: Enterprise pricing is custom, so multi-location buyers must get a quote rather than compare a fixed monthly price.

Verdict

Choose LayCor if your party or event rental business needs bookings, rental inventory, delivery coordination, and customer self-service under one roof, with unlimited users at the entry tier. Its strongest reason to look elsewhere is cost structure: add-ons are full price on Starter, and teams needing API access, discounted add-ons, or multi-location features must move up a tier or obtain custom pricing.
