Overview

Eventzilla is an event platform for organizers who need registration, ticketing, attendee engagement, and check-in across in-person, hybrid, virtual events, and webinars. It suits conferences, training programs, fundraisers, and online events; Basic is less compelling when a paid event needs several ticket tiers.

Its breadth is the draw: registration controls sit alongside a branded attendee app, exhibitor tools, and integrations. The trade-off to price carefully is that Eventzilla’s platform fee does not cover payment-processing charges.

Key features

Registration and attendee experience

Custom forms with conditional logic, multiple ticket types, discounts, waitlists, and approval workflows let organizers shape both eligibility and checkout. That is useful for structured conferences or training, but Basic limits organizers to one paid ticket type, so tiered paid access points toward a higher plan.

Event Hub adds a branded attendee mobile app with agendas, networking, interactive sessions, notifications, and navigation. Attendee email, onsite check-in, and exhibitor tools round out the organizer and attendee workflow; the app and engagement features are most relevant when an event needs more than registration alone.

Integrations, payments, and safeguards

Zapier connects Eventzilla to more than 500 apps, including Salesforce, Mailchimp, and Google Sheets, while an API supports custom integrations. This gives teams both a no-code route and a path for bespoke connections, though the listed breadth should not be mistaken for native integrations with every tool.

Supported payment gateways include PayPal, Stripe, Braintree, Authorize.net, and eWay. Payment providers charge processing fees separately from Eventzilla’s platform fee, so the per-registration price is not the full cost of paid ticketing. Eventzilla says its AWS infrastructure has ISO 27001, SOC 1, SOC 2 Type II, and PCI DSS accreditations, uses TLS 1.2 or higher and AES-256 encryption, and does not share attendee data with third parties or use it for cross-promotion.

Pricing

Eventzilla has a free plan, a 14-day trial, and paid plans from $1.50. Basic costs 1.50 USD per month, billed per registration, and includes unlimited events, unlimited free registration types, and one paid ticket/registration type. That keeps the entry point practical for a simple paid event, but not for selling multiple paid tiers.

Pro has custom pricing and includes unlimited events, unlimited free registration types, and unlimited paid ticket/registration types. It is the relevant step up for organizers whose pricing structure exceeds Basic’s single paid type. Plus also has custom pricing, with unlimited free and paid ticket types and 5000+ third-party app integrations; teams needing broader integration access should compare its terms with their stack requirements.

Custom pricing adds upfront pricing options, Event Hub web and mobile, self-service onsite check-in and badge printing, vendor lead capture, on-demand onboarding assistance, and a dedicated account manager. That package is aimed at organizers who need operational support and onsite tools rather than only registration.

Free events cost 0.00 USD per free and are positioned for simple gatherings and meetups. A separate Premium features for free events plan costs 49.00 USD per month, billed per month, and adds event agendas, conditional logic, and call for papers. Nonprofits receive a 25% discount on the platform fee, excluding credit-card processing fees. Across paid-ticket plans, budget separately for fees charged by the selected payment provider.

Platforms

Eventzilla is available on Android, iOS, and web, and offers an API. That combination covers mobile and browser access plus custom integration work; the API is the clearest route for teams that need to connect beyond Zapier.

Who it's for

Eventzilla is a strong fit for organizers running conferences and conventions, training or courses, fundraisers, and online or hybrid events who want registration and attendee engagement in one system. Teams can use conditional registration rules and a branded app while connecting other tools through Zapier or the API. It is a weaker fit for simple paid events that need several ticket types but cannot justify moving beyond Basic, or for buyers whose cost target assumes processing fees are included.

Pros and cons

Pros: Supports multiple event formats, with registration, check-in, attendee tools, and exhibitor features in one platform.
Pros: Conditional forms, waitlists, approval workflows, and discounts support more controlled registration than a basic ticket checkout.
Pros: Zapier access to 500+ apps plus an API provides both low-code and custom integration routes.
Pros: Multiple named payment gateways and a nonprofit platform-fee discount give organizers options for payment setup and eligibility-based savings.
Cons: Basic allows only one paid ticket type, limiting its use for events with tiered paid admission.
Cons: Payment-processing fees are additional, so the platform price alone understates the cost of paid registrations.
Cons: Pro, Plus, and Custom use custom pricing, which makes the step-up cost less straightforward to compare.

Alternatives

Choose Eventbrite if free-event publishing is the priority: its free plan allows unlimited event publishing, and free tickets have no ticketing fees. Humanitix is another option for free events, with a 0.00 USD per free plan; its Standard plan is 0.99 USD per month per paid ticket.

Indico is worth considering if self-hosted open-source software is the requirement. SignUpGenius may suit organizers focused on sign-ups, with unlimited sign-ups on its free plan. Event Smart offers a free Basic plan with unlimited events and multiple ticket types, while some capabilities are paid upgrades.

Ticket Tailor is an alternative for free-ticket volume, with up to 5,000 free tickets per year on its free plan. Accelevents may be a better match when a stated registrant allowance is useful: its Professional plan covers one event and 500 registrants, while Business covers unlimited events and 2,000 registrants. TicketSource is another event-ticketing option.

Verdict

Choose Eventzilla if your events need flexible registration rules, attendee engagement, and check-in across several formats, with Zapier or API connections to the rest of your stack. Its single paid ticket type on Basic and separate processing charges are the main reasons to look elsewhere or budget for a higher plan. For multi-tier paid events, confirm the custom-priced upgrade fits before committing.
