Overview

MockupFit is an apparel design and mockup service for turning text prompts into garment concepts, previewing them, and preparing Printful exports. It is best suited to designers and sellers who want those steps together; teams that need vector artwork or an AI-free workflow on a paid subscription should look elsewhere.

The free tier is useful for garment designs, previews, downloads, and Printful exports, but it includes no AI credits. Paid options split between monthly subscriptions with credits that expire at the end of each billing cycle and one-time packs whose credits do not expire.

Key features

The editor lets users drag, resize, and rotate designs on garment previews, while AI try-on previews help visualize concepts on apparel. Saved AI designs can be browsed and reused across garments, a practical aid when developing variations without starting each concept from scratch. The output is raster, so MockupFit is a weaker fit for workflows that require vector files.

Transparent PNG exports are prepared for Printful print dimensions, including a stated 4500×5400px size. The service also supports apparel mockups and templates. Uploaded images for generation can be PNG, JPG, or WebP up to 10MB; generated videos are MP4.

The terms say users retain ownership of uploaded artwork and own output images generated using their uploaded content, including for commercial use. The privacy policy describes encryption in transit and at rest, Cloudflare Turnstile bot protection, retention of account and generated content while an account is active, and possible deletion of uploaded images after processing.

Pricing

MockupFit has a free plan, monthly subscriptions, and one-time credit packs. The main trade-off is between recurring monthly credit allowances and packs that remain available until used.

Plan	Price	What it includes
Free	0.00 USD per free	Unlimited garment designs, live preview and mockup downloads, and Printful export; no AI credits.
200 credits	15.00 USD per once	200 credits that never expire.
Pro	29.00 USD per month	600 credits/month, standard and HD quality, preset models, photo uploads, and email support.
800 credits	49.00 USD per once	800 credits that never expire.
Business	79.00 USD per month	2,000 credits/month, all quality tiers, HD and Ultra HD video, priority generation queue, and priority support.
2,000 credits	99.00 USD per once	2,000 credits that never expire.
Enterprise	199.00 USD per month	6,000 credits/month, Ultra HD, API access, bulk export, and dedicated support.
5,000 credits	199.00 USD per once	5,000 credits that never expire.

The free plan covers non-AI mockup work but cannot generate designs with AI. Pro is the entry subscription for regular AI use and adds HD quality and email support; its credits reset each month. Business suits higher-volume work that benefits from the priority queue, broader quality options, and priority support. Enterprise adds API access, bulk export, and dedicated support for larger workflows. One-time packs suit occasional generation or users who want to avoid monthly credit expiry; they do not include the subscription features described for Pro, Business, or Enterprise.

Platforms

MockupFit is available on web and through an API. Its print-ready export is transparent PNG, and its design format is raster.

Who it's for

MockupFit is a fit for independent apparel designers, e-commerce sellers, brands, teams, and gift makers who need to generate concepts, preview garments, and prepare Printful-ready artwork. It is less suitable for designers whose production workflow depends on vector files, or for sellers seeking AI generation without purchasing credits.

Pros and cons

Pros

Free non-AI workflow: unlimited garment designs, previews, mockup downloads, and Printful export make it possible to prepare apparel visuals without buying credits.
Print-oriented export: transparent PNGs include a stated 4500×5400px size for Printful printing.
Flexible credit terms: monthly credits suit recurring work, while one-time packs never expire.
Commercial-use ownership: users retain uploaded artwork and own generated outputs made using it, including for commercial use.

Cons

No free AI generation: the free plan has no AI credits, so prompt-based design work requires a paid option.
Subscription credits expire: unused monthly credits do not roll over, which is a poor match for irregular workloads.
Raster output: the format limits its fit for workflows requiring editable vector artwork.

Alternatives

T-Shirt Design Software is a broader category to explore when comparing apparel design tools.
DesignO is worth considering for a paid storefront workflow: its Starter plan is 90.00 USD per month with 100 GB storage, one B2C storefront, and an AI designer, but lacks 3D preview and webhooks/API access. MockupFit costs less at its entry subscription and includes Printful export.
inkXE is an alternative for teams seeking a one-time purchase and support and upgrade terms: Essential is 2999.00 USD per once, with three months of standard support and two years of free upgrades. MockupFit instead offers a free tier and lower-cost recurring or credit-pack options.
Kittl offers a free web plan with five projects and 100 one-time AI tokens; choose it if a project-based general design workflow and a small initial AI allowance suit better than MockupFit's apparel-focused Printful exports.
Screenhance Apparel Mockup Generator has a free tier with three monthly exports at 1x resolution, making it an option for limited mockup output.
w3D is an iOS alternative with a free download and in-app purchases.
YouWear.ai starts with five free credits for generation or editing and allows top-ups; consider it if a small initial AI allowance is the priority.
Mock It offers a seven-day trial before its Standard monthly plan at 11.99 USD per month; choose it if a trial period is more important than MockupFit's Printful-ready workflow.
Vexels T-Shirt Creator is another option for apparel design and merch creation.

Verdict

Choose MockupFit if you want prompt-generated apparel concepts, garment previews, and Printful-ready raster exports in one web workflow, especially if one-time credits suit an uneven schedule. Look elsewhere if you need vector output, free AI generation, or subscription credits that carry forward.
