Overview

Shipday is a delivery operations platform for businesses coordinating their own drivers, outside delivery services, or a mix of both. It is strongest for teams that need dispatch, delivery visibility, and proof of handoff in one workflow. Its low-cost entry point is appealing, but the order charges and differing user limits make the right plan depend on both volume and staffing.

Key features

Dispatch management and live delivery tracking connect order assignment with progress monitoring. Drivers use a mobile app for order information, routes, updates, chat, and proof of delivery by photo or signature. That combination matters to teams that need a record of completed deliveries and customer visibility, not just route planning.

Shipday supports in-house drivers alongside built-in access to third-party delivery services, and lists more than 100 integrated partners. Customer notifications help recipients follow deliveries. AI features span review automation, coaching, calls, dispatch, reports, and customer chat, giving operations more scope than basic dispatch; buyers should weigh that breadth against the substantially higher prices of the AI-oriented plans.

The company says advanced route planning can deliver up to 30% faster. Treat that as a vendor claim, rather than an assured outcome for every delivery network. API and webhook access is included with Professional, making that plan the clear fit when delivery events need to connect to other software. Shipday also provides support by phone, email, online chat, and in-app chat; phone support hours are 9 am to 6 pm PST, Monday through Saturday.

Pricing

Basic is free forever, with up to 300 orders per month, 10 driver accounts, and one dispatch account. That is a useful starting point for a small operation, but the dispatch-seat cap can become restrictive even before order volume grows. The full platform is available for a 14-day free trial without a credit card.

Professional Lite costs $19 USD per month and includes 300 orders, then charges $0.04 per additional order. It has no order limit, 15 driver accounts, five dispatch/staff accounts, and five admin users. This is the lowest paid tier and suits a team needing room to exceed the free cap while keeping a defined number of staff and drivers.

Professional costs $39 USD per month, with 300 orders included and $0.04 per additional order. It offers unlimited driver accounts, unlimited paid orders, and up to five users, as well as API and webhook access. For integration-led teams or larger driver pools, those capabilities justify the step up; the five-user ceiling remains a constraint for wider office teams.

Branded Premium also costs $39 USD per month, with 300 orders included, $0.04 per additional order, and up to 15 users. Its stated user allowance makes it more suitable than Professional for a larger staff group, though the plan facts do not establish that it includes Professional's API and webhook access.

Elite is $99 USD per month and includes 300 orders per month, with an additional $0.20 per order. The higher overage rate makes it important to forecast usage rather than assume the monthly price covers growth. Business AI costs $349 USD per month, includes 1,000 orders, and charges $0.25 per additional order; it is aimed at operations prepared to pay more for AI capabilities and a larger included volume.

Enterprise starts at $2,499 per month and covers multi-location delivery operations, enterprise security, the full AI Agents suite, and a dedicated team. It is the tier for organizations whose scale and security needs exceed the lower plans, rather than a cost-conscious extension of the entry offer. All stated monthly prices are billed monthly.

Platforms

Shipday is available on web, phone, and tablet, with API availability and driver apps for both major mobile platforms. That gives dispatch and operations teams device flexibility, while drivers can use the mobile app for delivery tasks and proof of completion.

Who it's for

Shipday fits restaurants and other delivery businesses that coordinate their own fleet, use third-party couriers, or combine both. Small teams can start on the free plan, while businesses needing API and webhook integration should consider Professional. It is less compelling for organizations that cannot predict order overages or need more than five users on Professional without moving to another tier.

Pros and cons

Pros: Dispatch, live tracking, notifications, and photo or signature proof of delivery cover the operational handoff end to end.
Pros: A free tier and 14-day trial let smaller teams evaluate the workflow before committing to a paid plan.
Pros: Professional combines API and webhook access with unlimited driver accounts, useful for integrated operations with large driver pools.
Cons: The free plan's 300-order and single-dispatch-account caps may limit even modest teams as volume or staffing rises.
Cons: Paid plans include only 300 orders at the lower tiers, and overage charges vary substantially, so the monthly headline price can understate cost.
Cons: Professional caps users at five, while the similarly priced Branded Premium's stated allowance is 15; teams must choose according to whether integration or staff capacity matters more.

Alternatives

For a broader shortlist, compare Delivery Management Software, Restaurant Delivery Management Software, Dispatch Software, Route Optimization Software, and Last-Mile Delivery Software.

Routific is worth considering when a team wants a freemium route-planning option with a smaller free allowance: its free plan covers 100 orders a month and excludes SMS notifications.

MileApp is an alternative for teams looking for a free plan that allows unlimited users and up to 1,000 tasks per month, subject to its stated vehicle, automation, and component limits.

Locus Last-Mile Delivery Software is another paid option for last-mile operations.

Onro may suit buyers who want to compare a paid platform that also offers a customizable demo tier with unlimited orders, users, and drivers.

Bringg is another paid platform to consider.

Shipsy is another paid platform to consider.

FarEye Last Mile is another paid platform to consider.

DispatchTrack is another paid platform to consider.

Verdict

Choose Shipday if your business needs dispatch, driver coordination, live customer-facing delivery visibility, and proof of delivery without starting at enterprise scale. The free tier and $19 USD per month entry plan lower the barrier, while Professional is the practical choice for API and webhook integration. Look elsewhere if unpredictable order overages or tight user caps would make costs and access difficult to manage.
