Overview

Flexi is accounting software built for insurance companies, banks, credit unions and other financial services firms. It suits teams that need multi-entity accounting alongside financial planning and connections to industry systems. Its combination of accounting controls, configurable workflows and integration options is strongest for organizations with financial-industry requirements; custom pricing means teams must assess the cost against their needs.

Key features

Accounting and consolidation

The core suite covers general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, purchasing, fixed assets and project accounting. Multi-company consolidation, multi-book accounting and multi-currency support make Flexi relevant to organizations managing several entities or accounting views. This breadth is useful when finance teams want those functions in one system, though it is purpose-built for financial services rather than a general-purpose accounting audience.

Planning and automation

Flexi’s FP&A suite combines real-time reporting, Excel-based analytics and collaborative budgeting. Scenario modeling and rolling forecasts support planning that changes as business conditions shift. Browser-based, no-code drag-and-drop workflow configuration lets teams automate accounting and operational processes without building them from code.

Integration and controls

Flexi connects with core banking, insurance, HR, payroll, ERP, reporting, claims, policy, loan and investment systems. FlexiSync provides open APIs and real-time synchronization, including the ability to turn business events into financial transactions automatically. FlexiNetExchange handles secure file and data transfers with external applications. Together, these options give organizations several ways to connect existing systems, but the fit will depend on the systems and workflows they need to join.

Accounting modules include built-in compliance and audit controls, and FlexiRecon provides a complete audit trail. Modules can be deployed individually or as an integrated suite, in the cloud or on premise. That deployment choice supports different infrastructure preferences, while the modular approach allows teams to select a narrower setup rather than adopting the full suite.

Pricing

Flexi is paid software with custom pricing. Teams should request a quote and compare it with the modules, deployment approach and integrations they require; there are no public plan tiers or prices to use as a starting point for budgeting.

Platforms

Flexi supports API, self-hosted and web deployments. Cloud and on-premise options apply to its modules, which can be deployed separately or together. This range is a practical advantage for financial organizations with existing infrastructure requirements.

Who it's for

Flexi is aimed at insurance companies, banks, credit unions and financial services firms that need multi-entity or multi-book accounting, financial planning, and links to operational systems. It is a stronger fit for those organizations than for teams seeking a broadly applicable accounting product.

Pros and cons

Pros: Multi-company, multi-book and multi-currency accounting addresses the complexity of financial organizations working across entities and accounting views.
Pros: Open APIs, real-time synchronization and secure file exchange provide several routes for connecting banking, insurance and business systems.
Pros: Cloud and on-premise deployment, plus modular adoption, give teams flexibility over infrastructure and scope.
Cons: Custom pricing makes it difficult to estimate cost before discussing requirements with Flexi.
Cons: Its industry-specific focus makes it a poor match for organizations that do not need financial-services accounting capabilities.

Verdict

Choose Flexi if your insurance, banking, credit union or financial services organization needs industry-focused accounting, multi-entity support and integration with operational systems. Its main advantage is bringing accounting, planning and connectivity options together with cloud or on-premise deployment. Look elsewhere if you need public pricing to make an initial comparison or do not need a financial-services-focused platform.
