Overview

FlexiQuiz is an e-learning platform for educators, trainers and organizations building quizzes, exams and other learning activities. It is best suited to teams that need varied assessment formats and reporting alongside learner access. Its breadth is useful, but the free plan’s small response allowance makes it more of a trial or occasional-use option than a dependable ongoing service.

Key features

Creation and assessment

Questions can be created manually, imported through an Excel template or generated with AI. Eleven question types cover formats such as multiple choice, file upload, essay, hotspot and matching text. That range supports more than simple knowledge checks; the free plan, however, includes only eight types and limits each quiz to 10 questions.

Scoring options include automatic scoring and manual grading, with whole-question or weighted answer-option points, partial credit, negative points and unscored items. Timers, randomized questions, branching logic and a question bank add structure to assessments. Tab-switch detection and full-screen options can deter casual attempts to leave a quiz, while customizable certificates provide a completion credential. These controls help formal testing, but they are not a substitute for a dedicated proctoring system.

Learner access and reporting

Quizzes can be shared through links, email invitations, respondent portals, access codes, QR codes, website embeds or print. Portals give learners a place to reach assigned content, and groups organize courses and classes. Results can be reviewed by quiz, participant, response, group or question, with PDF and spreadsheet exports. This combination makes FlexiQuiz more suitable for recurring training and organized classes than a tool focused only on publishing standalone quizzes.

Integrations and security

Integration options include SMTP, API and webhooks, e-commerce, single sign-on and HTML embedding. Quiz sales pages connect to Stripe. FlexiQuiz says its data is hosted on AWS in the USA, protected with TLS in transit and AES-256 at rest, including backups. Administrators, trainers and respondents can enable two-factor authentication.

Pricing

FlexiQuiz has a free plan and three paid tiers. Response quotas are the key constraint: the free tier allows 20 responses per month and per quiz, while paid plans raise the monthly allowance.

Plan	Price	Capacity and fit
Free	0.00 USD per free	20 responses/month, 20 responses/quiz, unlimited quizzes, 10 questions/quiz, 5 respondent portals and 1 GB storage. Best for trying the workflow or very small volumes.
Essentials	17.00 USD per month; $204 billed yearly	500 responses/month, 1 administrator, unlimited quizzes and questions, and 2 GB storage. A sensible entry point for a solo operator who has outgrown the free caps.
Premium	25.00 USD per month; $300 billed yearly	2,000 responses/month, 2 administrators or trainers, 10 GB storage and up to 800 respondent portals. Better suited to a small training operation with multiple staff or larger learner cohorts.
Enterprise	60.00 USD per month; $720 billed yearly	25,000 responses/month, 15 administrators or trainers, 100 GB storage, APIs and webhooks, single sign-on and priority 24/7 support. The fit for larger organizations needing integrations, more staff capacity and priority support.

Paid plans include a help centre and 24/7 email support; Enterprise adds priority support 24/7. The free tier’s 20 monthly responses can be exhausted quickly, and Essentials still limits teams to one administrator. Premium raises both response and staff capacity, while Enterprise is the only tier in this comparison with APIs and webhooks and single sign-on.

Platforms

FlexiQuiz supports Android, iOS, macOS, Windows and web, and offers an API. This range suits teams working across desktop and mobile environments, though the platform list alone does not establish feature parity across them.

Who it's for

FlexiQuiz targets educators, trainers and organizations, including healthcare and government teams, small and medium-sized businesses, nonprofits and large enterprises. It is strongest for groups that need to create assessments, give learners organized access and examine results at several levels. A solo user running occasional low-volume quizzes can start free; teams expecting regular participation should budget for a paid response quota.

Pros and cons

Pros: Multiple creation routes, 11 question types and flexible scoring support varied assessment needs.
Pros: Portals, groups, several publishing channels and layered reporting connect delivery with follow-up analysis.
Pros: Paid tiers scale from one administrator to 15 and add substantial response and storage capacity.
Cons: The free plan caps quizzes at 10 questions and responses at 20 per month, restricting meaningful recurring use.
Cons: Essentials has just one administrator, so a team needing shared management must move to Premium or above.

Alternatives

For a broader shortlist, compare Quiz Maker Software and Assessment Software.

ProProfs Quiz Maker is another freemium option with a free trial; its free plan allows 12 questions, including four lead fields, and 90-day report history. Consider it when that free-plan setup better matches a small quiz workflow.
SpeedExam has a free tier with 25 exam attempts per month, 2,000 questions and 100 MB storage. It may fit readers prioritizing a larger question allowance on a free exam-focused plan.
TestGorilla offers 10 free credits monthly, five essential skills tests and one full access seat on its free plan. Choose it when skills testing and that seat-and-credit model are the better match.
ClassMarker is a freemium alternative with a free trial; its Professional 2 plan includes up to 1,000 credits per month, AI exam proctoring and custom certificates. It is worth comparing when those exam capabilities matter.
TestInvite has a free trial but no free plan; its Starter tier costs 900.00 USD per year and includes 500 testing credits, 250 questions, five tests and one teammate. Consider it if a paid annual testing-credit plan suits your needs.
Crowdpurr offers a free web plan for 20 participants, 15 questions and three simultaneous experiences. It may suit a small audience needing concurrent experiences.
Testportal offers a free EDU plan with 100 results storage, advanced test configuration and reporting, and additional user accounts. Compare it if those education-oriented provisions are more relevant.
Classtime has a free Basic plan for up to 40 simultaneous students, with unlimited questions and sessions. It is an alternative for classroom use where those limits align better.

Verdict

FlexiQuiz is a good choice for educators and training teams that want flexible assessment creation, organized learner access and detailed results in one service. Its paid tiers offer a clear route from small operations to larger teams, with integrations and single sign-on at Enterprise. Look elsewhere if you need substantial free usage: 20 responses a month is the decisive limitation.
