Overview

FlinkISO is open-source quality management software that brings controlled documents, configurable forms and QMS records into one system. It best suits organisations prepared to self-manage a Linux or Windows installation, or teams that want a hosted option with support. Its breadth is compelling, but cloud users should weigh the 25 MB file cap and storage charges against their document needs.

Support for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 13485, with additional standards configurable, gives teams working across quality frameworks room to shape the system to their processes. The software can support compliance work; using it does not itself establish compliance. Key features

Document control and collaboration

Storage, access restrictions, search, retrieval, version control and approval workflows cover the core document-control cycle. ONLYOFFICE integration supports document creation, editing, collaboration, approval and publishing. Password-protected PDF downloads and records of issue numbers, timestamps and users add traceability when documents are distributed. This is a stronger fit for controlled QMS material than for teams seeking only general-purpose file storage.

Configurable forms and QMS modules

Drag-and-drop HTML forms combine fields, validations, layouts and custom business rules without coding. Generated forms can export JSON and XML through actions that authorized integrations call using a table route and custom table ID, a practical connection point for teams linking form data to other systems.

Modules cover audit management, change control, management review, customer complaints, nonconformities, corrective actions, employee training, equipment records and calibration. That range lets teams manage varied quality processes in one QMS, though organisations should assess whether its configurable workflows fit their specific operating requirements.

AI and compliance references

FlinkISO can connect to cloud OpenAI-compatible providers or self-hosted Ollama servers for AI chat and form-building workflows. The platform also lists compliance information for 21 CFR Part 11 and EU Annex 11; those references are relevant to regulated environments, but do not by themselves demonstrate that a deployment meets regulatory obligations.

Pricing

The free Free On-Premise plan costs 0.00 USD per free. It includes all QMS modules, unlimited concurrent users, self-hosted data and documents, and no expiry. In exchange, the organisation installs and manages the software on its own infrastructure. Free self-hosted users receive manuals, videos, a community forum and email support, rather than the training and priority assistance attached to paid plans.

Form Creation API costs 80.00 USD per month and covers creating new custom forms and modules and modifying generated forms. It is a focused paid option for teams that need these API capabilities, not a hosted QMS subscription.

On-Cloud QMS costs 80.00 USD per month for API access, with storage charged separately based on monthly average daily usage and varying by usage band. It includes unlimited users and records, daily backups and hosted ONLYOFFICE. There is no set limit on users, employees, documents, processes, forms or uploads, but each uploaded file is capped at 25 MB. Teams handling large files should treat that cap as a material constraint, and include usage-based storage in their cost planning.

The Startup Plan is a 750.00 USD per once one-time payment for a three-month plan. It includes installation, training, three months of API access and priority support, and is designed for small and medium organisations seeking guided on-premise setup. Enterprise Support has custom pricing and includes implementation assistance, customisation and reports, and priority support.

A 15-day trial is available. The free plan has no expiry, while the hosted and API plans have monthly prices; the Startup Plan is a one-time payment for three months.

Platforms

FlinkISO supports web access, an API, Linux and Windows, with self-hosted deployment available. Manual installation uses Apache or IIS, MySQL and PHP. That flexibility favors teams able to operate server infrastructure; organisations wanting less deployment responsibility can choose the cloud plan instead.

Who it's for

FlinkISO is suited to teams that need document control alongside audits, corrective actions and other QMS records, especially when they want configurable forms or self-hosted data. Its free on-premise tier makes it possible to run the full module set without a recurring licence charge, provided the organisation can handle installation and management. The cloud plan better suits teams preferring hosted service, but its file cap and variable storage charges make it less straightforward for document-heavy workloads.

Pros and cons

Broad QMS coverage: Audits, changes, complaints, nonconformities, corrective actions, training, equipment and calibration sit alongside document control.
Flexible deployment: Free self-hosting, hosted service, and Linux or Windows server installation give teams options to match infrastructure preferences.
Useful form and integration hooks: No-code form building and JSON/XML export actions support tailored workflows and authorized integrations.
Cloud file constraint: The 25 MB maximum upload size can rule out the hosted plan for teams that routinely manage larger files.
Variable hosted storage cost: Storage charges depend on usage bands, so the $80.00 USD per month base price is not the full cloud cost.
Self-hosting demands ownership: The free plan requires teams to install and manage their own infrastructure; paid training and priority assistance sit outside that tier.

Alternatives

GatesFlow QMS is worth comparing for individuals or small teams who want a free plan with generous usage limits, or paid plans starting at 20.00 USD per month for more storage and programs.

SimplerQMS offers a free viewer license with unlimited users and read-only access for invited auditors and collaborators under an active subscription; consider it when external review access is the priority.

1factory may suit teams focused on supplier collaboration, with its Standard plan priced at 20.00 USD per month per connected supplier, billed annually, and a minimum one-year commitment.

QT9 QMS is an alternative for organisations comparing annual licensing with custom pricing based on users and deployment requirements.

Intelex Inspection Management is an inspection-focused alternative with a Safety Essentials plan at 44.00 USD per year, a 25-user minimum and annual billing.

Q-Hub offers a Starter plan at 85.00 GBP per month with one full user and five basic users; it may fit teams comfortable with that defined user mix.

Ideagen Internal Audit is another web-based option for teams comparing internal-audit software.

Propel PIM offers PLM and QMS for a single team or smaller company on its Small plan, with larger-team plans combining PLM, QMS and PIM.

Verdict

Choose FlinkISO if your organisation wants a broad QMS with document controls, configurable forms and the choice of free self-hosting or a hosted plan. The strongest reason to choose it is the combination of full QMS modules and deployment flexibility; the strongest reason to look elsewhere is the cloud file-size cap and usage-based storage cost, or the operational burden of managing the free installation yourself.
