Overview

Guests can enroll through the app, at the register, or online, with activity from POS, app, web, and delivery channels brought into a single profile. That gives teams a shared view of guest activity across touchpoints and links loyalty to ordering rather than treating each channel as a separate program.

Operators can configure earn rates, tier thresholds, benefits, and rewards, with program details syncing across the app, wallet pass, and register. Hang AI monitors redemptions and flags what drives return visits, which can help teams assess engagement alongside program mechanics. The platform is best suited to brands prepared to manage loyalty and ordering together; a business seeking only a basic rewards ledger may find its breadth unnecessary.

Key features

Loyalty and engagement

Points, tiers, benefits, and rewards support conventional loyalty structures, while streaks, quests, challenges, puzzles, trivia, badges, mystery boxes, and branded minigames offer more varied engagement mechanics. Referrals, paid memberships, segment-triggered rewards, social media rewards, polls, and surveys extend the campaign options. This range gives restaurant teams room to shape different programs, but it also makes Hang a more involved choice than a straightforward points-and-discounts tool.

Ordering and payments

Ordering includes order-ahead, menu modifiers, pickup scheduling, Uber Direct delivery, Stripe payments, scan and pay, gift cards, and stored value. That breadth can reduce the need to coordinate separate guest-facing ordering and loyalty experiences. It is particularly relevant to operators who want ordering activity tied to guest profiles and rewards; teams already satisfied with a separate ordering setup should weigh the value of consolidating against their current stack.

Profiles, integrations, and infrastructure

Hang says identity resolution and POS transaction ingestion combine POS, app, web, and delivery activity into one guest profile. Its CDP page lists integrations with leading POS systems, ordering providers, Shopify, Klaviyo, Braze, Iterable, OneSignal, Twilio, Resend, and Stripe. A partner API and webhooks provide additional integration paths for teams connecting the platform to their systems.

Hang states that it is audited annually for SOC 2 Type II and certified to ISO 27001, and that it complies with GDPR and CCPA. It says data is encrypted at rest with AES-256 and in transit with TLS 1.3, isolated by brand, and protected with role-based access, multi-factor authentication, reviews, and logs. Customers retain ownership of their data, which Hang says it does not use to train shared AI models. The stated 99.9% uptime SLA, real-time health monitoring, failover, and 24/7 monitoring are relevant assurances for a platform that touches ordering and loyalty operations.

Pricing

Hang is a paid platform with custom pricing; businesses are invited to request a demo or a free, no-commitment prototype in their brand. The prototype is not a free software plan, so it should not be treated as a way to run the live platform without a subscription. Because the subscription price is custom, teams should request a quote against their locations, channels, integrations, and intended feature use before comparing total cost with a narrower tool.

Platforms

Hang supports Android, iOS, web, and API. It also offers branded native apps, a web app, and a progressive web app, alongside wallet passes. This gives restaurant brands several guest-facing surfaces, while the API and webhooks support connection to other systems.

Who it's for

Hang is aimed at restaurant brands that want loyalty, ordering, guest profiles, offers, and customer data capabilities coordinated across their POS and ordering stack. It is a stronger fit for teams looking to build a richer engagement program and connect activity across channels than for businesses that need only a simple rewards feature or a clearly priced self-service plan.

Pros and cons

Pro: Multiple enrollment routes and unified guest profiles connect register, app, web, and delivery activity, useful for brands serving guests through more than one channel.
Pro: Configurable loyalty plus gamified engagement, referrals, memberships, and targeted rewards supports more varied programs than points alone.
Pro: Ordering, payments, gift cards, and stored value sit alongside loyalty, giving operators a route to connect transactions and engagement.
Pro: Hang states specific security controls, certifications, customer data ownership, and a 99.9% uptime SLA, useful considerations for teams evaluating a platform handling guest and transaction data.
Con: Custom pricing requires a sales conversation, making early budget comparisons less direct.
Con: The free branded prototype is not a free operating plan, so businesses cannot infer ongoing software access from the prototype offer.
Con: The breadth of loyalty, ordering, and campaign functions may be more than a restaurant needs if it is seeking only a basic rewards program.

Alternatives

For a primarily gift-card-focused requirement, compare Restaurant Gift Card Software; for branded app creation, see Restaurant App Builder Software. A narrower loyalty comparison starts with Restaurant Loyalty Software, while teams prioritizing campaigns can review Restaurant Marketing Software.

Lunchbox is worth considering when a free plan for 1–2 locations and zero sign-up and commission fees on its SMB plan are priorities. Factor4 is a more targeted option for a custom gift card program, with pricing based on location count, channel mix, and integration and a low monthly program fee with unlimited transactions. Loopz Gift Cards is another gift-card-focused option, with a Lite plan for US Clover at 8.00 USD per month plus transaction and SMS delivery fees. eCard Systems offers digital storefront and in-store gift card programs, while Giftpro uses commission-based pricing tied to projected sales volume and venues, without fixed monthly, setup, design, or support fees.

GoTab is relevant when QR and online ordering are the priority: its Basic plan is 15.00 USD per month per location and includes preauthorized tabs and one POS. Wrapped may suit a gift-card program needing a defined small-site allowance, with a Basic plan at 49.00 USD per month or $468/year billed annually ($39 /month), covering up to 3 sites and 50 new activations per month or 600 per year. Paytronix is another paid platform for businesses seeking a quoted solution based on their needs.

Verdict

Choose Hang if your restaurant brand wants loyalty, ordering, and guest profiles operating as connected parts of one platform, especially when varied engagement mechanics and multiple guest channels matter. Its integration breadth and stated security and availability commitments strengthen that case. Look elsewhere if you need a narrowly scoped tool or must establish a firm budget before engaging with sales: custom pricing and the prototype-only free offer leave cost and ongoing plan fit to resolve directly with Hang.
