Overview

FotoJet brings photo collages, general photo editing and template-based design together in an online service. It suits people making still-image graphics across a few everyday formats; the 800+ collage layouts and no-account starting option are useful, but it is not a video-collage tool.

Its templates cover social media graphics, posters, cards and banners, so it can serve as a general-purpose option for lightweight creative work rather than a specialist design platform.

Key features

Collage and design tools

The collage maker offers more than 800 layouts and templates, and supports custom layouts. That gives users a broad set of starting points as well as some freedom to arrange a composition themselves. Video collages are not supported, so teams whose output includes moving-image layouts should choose a different tool.

For photo editing, the online editor includes crop, resize and rotate, plus text, clip art, effects, overlays and frames. JPG and PNG exports are supported, and watermark-free exports are available. This combination is suited to basic edits and decorative treatments alongside collage work, not a dedicated advanced photo workflow.

Access and privacy

FotoJet can be tried free without downloading or registering. The maker also offers separate FotoJet Designer, Collage Maker and Photo Editor apps for Windows and Mac. Uploaded and created content remains private to the account unless shared; FotoJet says it accesses content only with explicit permission to resolve an in-app issue. Card details go directly to a payment processor, and FotoJet says it does not retain card numbers or other sensitive payment-instrument details.

The help center provides tutorials and FAQs and accepts feedback or suggestions. FotoJet says it uses SSL encryption to protect payment information.

Pricing

FotoJet is freemium, with a free plan and a 7-day trial. The Free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and includes basic editing tools, basic templates and resources, and a free online collage maker. It is a sensible way to try the core workflow, but it does not include the advanced tools or premium resources offered by Plus.

FotoJet Plus Monthly costs 6.99 USD per month, billed monthly. It includes all advanced editing tools, 500MB online photo storage, 800+ premium templates, 30+ premium fonts and priority support. FotoJet Plus Annual costs 39.99 USD per year, billed annually and shown as $3.33 USD/month, with the same stated inclusions. The annual option lowers the monthly equivalent, but commits the buyer to an annual billing term.

Plus also includes custom canvas size, saving and loading projects, cloud storage, ad-free editing and premium resources. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled, and charges are non-refundable, so users should account for both terms before subscribing.

Platforms

FotoJet is available on the web and lists Linux, macOS and Windows among its platforms. Separate Designer, Collage Maker and Photo Editor desktop apps are listed for Windows and Mac.

Who it's for

FotoJet is a fit for individuals and teams who need one place for still-photo collages, everyday photo edits and template-led social or print graphics. Its breadth and free access make it practical for occasional work and early evaluation. It is a weaker fit for video-collage production or users who need a more specialized photo-editing workflow.

Pros and cons

Pros: More than 800 collage layouts, plus custom layouts, give users both ready-made structures and room to compose.
Pros: Editing, collage-making and templates for several graphic formats sit in one service, reducing the need to switch tools for basic creative tasks.
Pros: Free access without registration or a download lowers the barrier to trying the online workflow.
Cons: Video collages are unsupported, ruling it out for moving-image layouts.
Cons: The free plan is limited to basic editing and templates, while premium resources and advanced tools require Plus.
Cons: Plus renews automatically unless canceled, and charges are non-refundable.

PicCollage is another freemium option for Android, iOS and web.

Verdict

Choose FotoJet if you want a free-to-start service for still-image collages, basic editing and everyday template-led graphics in one place. Its large layout library and broad range of design tasks are the main reasons to choose it; look elsewhere for video collages or if Plus’s automatic renewal and non-refundable charges do not suit your purchasing needs.
