Overview

Sales and online orders share a menu, reporting and kitchen order management, so operators can handle multiple ordering channels in the same workflow. FuegoPOS runs over Wi-Fi or 5G cellular without requiring a network build-out, which suits mobile businesses and locations that need connectivity flexibility. Its focus is food service rather than a general-purpose retail operation.

Key features

Ordering and kitchen operations

Built-in integrations with DoorDash, UberEats and Grubhub, along with Fuego’s certified Olo partnership, make delivery a meaningful part of the platform. Online orders reach the POS, and the built-in kitchen display system (KDS) receives orders in real time. Fire includes a second terminal and KDS; Fuego also advertises a free 11-inch KDS with Fire while supplies last. Fire is limited to two terminals and one KDS screen. Each additional POS terminal costs $20 per month, and each extra KDS terminal costs $10 per month, so multi-station operations should budget beyond the base plan.

Payments, hardware and integrations

Fuego says card processing starts at 2.6% + $0.10 per transaction and supports major credit cards, Apple Pay and Samsung Pay. Offline payments and split payments are supported, which can help keep service moving through a connection interruption or when a bill needs dividing; the processing fee still applies. Android hardware includes the PAX A77 handheld, sold separately for $299. Fuego’s open API lets partner systems access POS data across the modules a customer uses, a useful option for teams integrating their wider stack.

Operations and data

Inventory tracking, menu modifiers, staff permissions and multiple locations give operators tools for day-to-day control. Fire adds inventory management, while Blaze adds unlimited customer storage and bulk product updates. Blaze also includes Power BI Builder access, but Power BI Builder is $10 per user from Microsoft, an additional cost for teams that need it.

Security and support

Starter lists PCI compliance, and Fuego describes its 5G hardware as PCI-compliant for card payments. Its privacy policy says it does not sell, rent or share personal information with third parties and gives users the ability to access, correct or delete their information. US-based support is available by phone at 888-878-4838 or by email at hello@fuegopos.com.

Pricing

FuegoPOS uses a freemium model, but the free Starter plan is software without cellular service or hardware, and processing fees apply. It includes cloud menu management, an employee module, split payments and offline mode. That makes it a low-cost way to start with core POS functions if you already have suitable equipment and can accept payment processing costs.

Starter: 0.00 USD per free, with processing fees. It includes cloud menu management, the employee module, split payments and offline mode, but no cellular service or hardware.
Fire: 49.00 USD per month plus processing fees. It adds KDS, a second terminal, inventory management, online ordering, and customized and text receipts. The two-terminal and one-KDS-screen limits matter for busier setups.
Blaze: 79.00 USD per month plus processing fees. It adds unlimited customer storage, bulk product updates, Power BI Builder access and custom online-ordering design. The extra customer and reporting capabilities are most relevant to operators with larger customer lists or more demanding reporting needs.
Loyalty add-on: 19.00 USD per month on any plan for points, tiers and rewards, automated messages, and email and text campaigns.
Gift Cards add-on: 19.00 USD per month on any plan for unlimited activations, reloads and redemptions, with no Fuego transaction or redemption fee.

Hardware purchased outright carries no contract; terms can apply to leased or financed hardware and promotional offers. The add-ons make it possible to extend a lower tier, but their monthly charges should be counted alongside the base plan and processing.

Platforms

FuegoPOS supports Android, web, API access and self-hosted deployment. Android devices include the separately sold PAX A77 handheld. The mix gives operators mobile hardware and integration paths, while Starter users need to supply their own hardware and connectivity.

Who it's for

FuegoPOS is best suited to food trucks and fast-casual restaurants that want counter sales, online ordering, delivery integrations and kitchen tickets connected to shared menus and reporting. Fire is the clearest fit for an operator needing online ordering and a KDS without stepping up to Blaze. Businesses needing more than two POS terminals or one KDS screen should factor in the per-terminal charges, while teams that need included hardware or cellular service should not treat Starter as a complete operating setup.

Pros and cons

Pros: Online orders share POS menus, reporting and kitchen management, limiting channel separation for food-service teams.
Pros: DoorDash, UberEats and Grubhub integrations, plus Olo partnership status, give operators several established delivery routes.
Pros: Offline payments and split payments support continuity and flexible checkout.
Cons: The free plan excludes hardware and cellular service, while payment processing fees still apply.
Cons: Fire’s two-terminal and one-screen KDS cap can add recurring costs as a location expands.
Cons: Blaze’s Power BI Builder access does not remove Microsoft’s $10 per-user charge.

Alternatives

Operators comparing food-service systems can also browse Food Truck POS Software. Loyverse is worth considering for a free POS with a 31-day sales history and an optional $5.00 USD per month per-store plan for unlimited sales history. Paloma365 offers a paid Startup plan at $23.00 USD per month, or $20.00 USD per month when paid yearly, with one location, one workstation and unlimited users and printers. PAYS POS starts at $59.00 USD per month for a plan that includes payment processing, 24/7/365 support, reporting, online ordering and takeout, open-order and phone-order workflows. GoTab has a $15.00 USD per month Basic plan per location with QR and online ordering, preauthorized tabs, one POS and flexible hardware options. Lavu is another option to compare for restaurant operations software. Biyo POS may suit businesses seeking a free plan with processing fees and broad platform support. Avocado POS offers an iOS-only free Starter plan with a 5% + 15¢ total payment fee, comprising card processing at cost plus a 2.4% Avocado fee. CartFlow is an alternative to consider for event and stock management.

Verdict

Choose FuegoPOS if you run a food truck or fast-casual operation and want delivery, online ordering and kitchen display workflows tied to the same POS. Fire brings the most compelling combination for a small operation, while Starter can be a useful entry point for teams already equipped to handle hardware and connectivity. Look elsewhere if included hardware, cellular service or room to add terminals without monthly surcharges is central to your decision.
