Overview

Retouch4me is a suite of AI photo and video retouching plugins, desktop apps and cloud tools for photographers. It is best suited to portrait, wedding and other professional workflows that need repeatable retouching or culling across batches. Its breadth and offline perpetual plugins are compelling; cloud subscriptions add recurring credit and storage limits.

Key features

Photo plugins handle skin retouching, eye enhancement, teeth whitening, background cleanup, dust removal and cropping. They integrate with Photoshop, Lightroom, Capture One and Affinity Photo, letting teams keep their preferred editor in place. Apex combines Retouch4me tools in one app, while Arams handles automatic photo analysis, culling and batch retouching.

Video OFX plugins work with compatible editors such as DaVinci Resolve and VEGAS Pro; Color Match is also available for Premiere and Final Cut. The five-plugin video package covers color matching and skin retouching, a focused option rather than a broad video-editing suite.

Perpetual plugin licenses allow unlimited file processing offline, which suits users who want predictable use without cloud credits. The Photoshop Panel describes on-device processing as confidential and requiring no internet connection. Cloud tools include an API, but access requires a token from an authorized, verified account. The cloud trial provides 20 photo retouches without a credit card.

Pricing

Cloud subscriptions are billed yearly and combine retouching credits, culling credits and storage. Start costs 169.00 USD per year for 2,400 retouching credits, 108,000 culling credits and 20 GB. Pro costs 299.00 USD per year for 6,000 retouching credits, 300,000 culling credits and 40 GB. Business costs 759.00 USD per year for 18,000 retouching credits, 1,200,000 culling credits and 100 GB. Start is the entry point for modest volume; Pro and Business raise quotas for heavier studio workflows. Credits roll over for up to five years while the subscription stays active, but unused credits are forfeited without refund on cancellation.

One-time cloud packs are labeled monthly: Starter Pack is 24.00 USD per month for 100 retouching and 4,500 culling credits; Advanced Pack is 59.00 USD per month for 300 and 15,000; Extended Pack is 179.00 USD per month for 1,200 and 100,000. These suit buyers who prefer a one-time pack payment over an annual subscription, though the listed quotas are smaller than the corresponding subscription tiers.

The free Trial pack includes 20 cloud photo retouches. Free Plugins include Frequency Separation and Color Match Free. For perpetual tools, Photo Plugins cost 145.00 USD per once for 15 AI plugins covering portrait, event and product photography; Video Plugins cost 124.00 USD per once for five video color-matching and skin-retouching plugins. These purchases avoid cloud credit quotas for file processing, but are separate from the cloud plans.

Platforms

Retouch4me spans Android, iOS, macOS, Windows and web, with API and extension support. It supports RAW photos, layers, masking, batch editing and cloud sync. The maker is RELU OÜ, based in Tallinn, Estonia.

Who it's for

Retouch4me fits photographers who want specialized AI retouching inside established editors, or studios that need batch culling and cloud quotas for recurring volume. The offline perpetual licenses are especially relevant when internet-independent processing matters. It is less suited to buyers seeking a single free, open-ended editor or teams that do not want credit-based cloud terms.

Pros and cons

Pros: Plugins integrate with four established photo editors, reducing pressure to change the editing stack.
Pros: Perpetual plugin licenses allow unlimited offline file processing, unlike quota-based cloud use.
Pros: Separate apps address combined retouching and automated culling workflows.
Cons: Cloud subscriptions impose annual quotas and storage caps, and cancellation forfeits unused credits without refund.
Cons: The one-time plugin packages are distinct from cloud plans, so buyers need to choose the model that matches their workflow.

Alternatives

Photo Editing Software is the broader category for comparing tools. Choose ImageMagick instead for free image processing with commercial use permitted. Cutout.Pro is a freemium alternative with subscriptions starting at 5.00 USD per month for 80 credits. Choose darktable for a free, open-source photography workflow and RAW developer. Photopea offers free editor access, while PhotoDirector has a limited free tier for macOS and Windows. RawTherapee is a free option for RAW processing, without digital asset management, printing or uploading features. Adobe Lightroom is another freemium option with cloud storage and monthly generative credits in its listed plans. VSCO is a freemium web and mobile option with a free Starter plan and paid preset tiers.

Verdict

Choose Retouch4me if professional photo workflows need targeted AI retouching across familiar editors, plus optional culling and offline perpetual processing. Its main advantage is the combination of specialized plugins and flexible cloud or one-time options. Look elsewhere if free processing, a full photography workflow, or avoiding annual credit forfeiture matters more than those retouching tools.
