Overview

Ganttic is a resource planner built around project portfolios, tasks and the people or assets assigned to them. It is best suited to teams coordinating several kinds of shared resources, rather than teams looking only for a personal task list. Its unlimited-user, resource-based pricing is appealing when a broad group plans a relatively small pool; the free plan’s 10-resource ceiling and lack of API access are important constraints.

Key features

The online Gantt planner presents schedules from both resource and task perspectives, with drag-and-drop scheduling. That makes it a stronger fit for work shaped by the availability of people, rooms, machinery, vehicles or equipment than a planner centered only on task ownership. Time blocking, recurring tasks and workload planning support ongoing allocation, while reports and Kanban boards offer alternate ways to review work.

Google Calendar and Outlook syncing, Zapier integrations and an API provide routes to connect planning with other workflows. API access comes with paid plans; trial users can request access to evaluate it, but it is not part of the free plan. Customizable Owner, Admin and User permissions help separate account responsibilities, and the History Log records account activity.

Ganttic says it hosts the service on AWS servers in Frankfurt, Germany, and is GDPR compliant. Its stated safeguards include AWS WAF protection, TLS 1.2 encryption, annual third-party penetration tests and backups four times daily. These are useful assurances for teams assessing operational controls, though they do not replace a review of their own security requirements.

Email support, help materials and free unlimited personalized support demos give teams several support channels, including a way to discuss setup without a stated demo limit.

Pricing

Pricing is based on planned resources rather than users, and every plan includes unlimited users. That structure can keep costs predictable when many colleagues need access, but the resource cap—not the number of seats—is the key sizing decision.

Free — 0.00 USD per free: Up to 10 resources, unlimited users and projects, Gantt charts, reports and Kanban boards. It suits individual planning and small businesses that can stay within the cap. API access is excluded.
PRO 20 — 25.00 USD per month: Up to 20 resources, unlimited users and projects, all features and API access. It fits a team that has outgrown the free resource allowance or needs the API, but its 20-resource limit means a larger pool needs another arrangement.

The free plan is also described as including all features except API access for 10 resources or less. A 14-day trial includes all features, unlimited resources and users, and does not require a credit card; trial users can request API access. The trial is a useful way to assess a larger setup, but it does not change the resource limits of the ongoing plans.

Platforms

Ganttic supports web, iOS and Android. Its mobile app availability gives teams access beyond the browser, while the API is an integration surface rather than a separate client platform and is reserved for paid plans outside the trial request process.

Who it's for

Ganttic is a sound choice for companies that schedule people alongside physical resources and want many stakeholders working from one plan. It is especially well matched to individual planners and small businesses with no more than 10 resources, or to teams willing to pay for a larger allowance and API access. It is less suitable when the resource pool exceeds the paid plan’s 20-resource allowance, or when API access is essential but a paid plan is not feasible.

Pros and cons

Pro: Unlimited users across plans. Teams can bring more colleagues into planning without pricing each seat separately.
Pro: Resource and task views in one Gantt planner. This suits schedules that must account for both work and shared assets.
Pro: Broad resource types and calendar connections. People, rooms, machinery, vehicles and equipment can be planned, with Google Calendar and Outlook syncing plus Zapier integrations.
Con: The free plan stops at 10 resources. It is useful for small-scale planning but not a no-cost route to a larger pool.
Con: API access requires payment. Teams building around API-based connections cannot keep that capability on the free plan.
Con: PRO 20 tops out at 20 resources. Teams with more planned resources need a different arrangement rather than simply adding users.

Alternatives

For a broader task-management comparison, start with Time Management Apps, Gantt Chart Software or Resource Management Software.

Taskade AI Agents is a freemium alternative with a free plan for 2 users, 6,000 one-time credits, up to 3 apps, 1 AI agent and 10 automations; choose it when those limits and its wider platform coverage suit the need better than resource-based scheduling.

Planview AdaptiveWork is a paid alternative with custom pricing; consider it when you want to compare another project-work platform.

Scoro is a paid alternative with a Time-billing plan at 17.00 USD per month, shown as €15 $17 £13 $24.5 $24 per user / month; compare it when per-user billing and time-billing are relevant to the decision.

Any.do has a free Personal plan with unlimited personal tasks and lists; choose it for personal task organization rather than shared resource scheduling.

Reclaim AI has a free Lite plan for 1 user with a 1-week scheduling range, 1 Calendar Sync, 1 Scheduling Link and 5 AI Agents; it is an alternative when those scheduling limits fit the use case.

FlowSavvy is a freemium alternative with a Basic plan covering 1 scheduling-hours profile, 3 repeating auto-scheduled tasks, 5 task lists and a 2-week auto-scheduling range; compare it when that task-scheduling scope is a closer fit.

Routine has a free plan with 3 integrations, 3 custom databases and 250 AI credits; consider it as another freemium option.

TickTick is another freemium alternative.

Verdict

Choose Ganttic if your team needs a shared Gantt-based view of tasks and varied resources, especially when unlimited collaborators matter more than per-seat pricing. Its resource-based model and asset-aware planner are the main reasons to choose it; look elsewhere if you need more than 20 resources on the priced plan or require API access without paying.
