Overview

Qashier is a Malaysian business platform that brings salon appointments, checkout and customer rewards into one system. It suits salons and spas that want those workflows linked to staff performance and sales, rather than assembled from separate tools. The free entry point is useful for a small catalogue, but its sales and staff caps—and lack of card payments—make the paid tiers more practical for an operating salon.

Key features

Bookings and salon operations

Qashier Bookings accepts appointments online around the clock, confirms them instantly and supports package redemption. Its team calendar syncs with the POS, keeping appointments connected to the sales workflow. Staff performance and commission tracking, alongside sales and customer-feedback reports, give owners a way to monitor both service activity and revenue. These features are most relevant to salons coordinating multiple staff; Lite excludes staff management.

Payments and loyalty

The Malaysia terminal accepts major credit and debit cards, DuitNow QR, Touch ’n Go, GrabPay, Boost, mobile payments and e-wallets. Qashier Treats links loyalty points to payments and also supports vouchers, promotions and personalised customer messages. That combination can support repeat visits without a separate loyalty workflow, but Lite excludes QashierPay card payments and add-on tools.

Integrations, API and safeguards

Growth includes integrations with Xero, Shopify and WooCommerce. Qashier also describes API connections for payments, POS data and Treats loyalty, with transaction data consolidated into one dashboard. The API breadth is useful to teams connecting Qashier to other systems, though the published integration set is clearest on Growth. Qashier says it complies with PCI DSS 3.2 as a Level 1 Service Provider, separates sensitive card data from its other infrastructure and follows Malaysia’s PDPA and other personal-data protection laws in its markets.

Pricing

Qashier has a free plan and a free trial. Listed prices exclude SST.

Lite — 0.00 MYR per free, billed Free. It allows up to 25 products, reports up to 1 year and email support; monthly sales and staff limits apply. It excludes QashierPay card payments, staff management and add-on tools. This is a constrained starting point, not a strong fit for a salon that depends on card checkout or staff oversight.
Essential — 5.00 USD per month, billed RM5/day. It supports up to 9 stores, up to 1,000 products, unlimited staff and CRM for up to 500 customers. Live chat, phone and WhatsApp support are included. It is the more capable fit for a growing single-site or small multi-store operator that needs staff capacity and broader support but can work within the customer and catalogue caps.
Growth — 8.00 USD per month, billed RM8/day. It supports 10+ stores, unlimited products and CRM, staff commissions, and includes Essential features, plus Xero, Shopify and WooCommerce integrations. It is aimed at larger or more connected operations; its expanded capacity matters when Essential’s store, product or CRM ceilings become restrictive.

Lite’s product, sales and staff constraints sharply limit its role. Essential raises product and staffing capacity but still caps CRM at 500 customers and stores at 9; Growth removes product and CRM caps and starts at 10 stores. The daily RM billing terms and SST exclusion should be factored into cost comparisons.

Platforms

Qashier supports Android, iOS, web and API access. QashierHQ is accessible in a browser and on Android, while the Qashier HQ app is available for iPhone and Android. That mix accommodates teams using mobile devices as well as a browser-based back office.

Who it's for

Qashier is best suited to Malaysian salons, spas and wellness businesses that want appointments, payments, staff reporting and loyalty connected in a single operating setup. Its payment options and salon-specific booking features suit customer-facing service businesses. It is less compelling for a very small operator that needs a fully capable free POS, or for a salon whose customer-management needs exceed Essential’s 500-customer cap but do not justify Growth.

Pros and cons

Pro: Bookings, package redemption and a POS-synced team calendar connect appointment handling with checkout.
Pro: Multiple local payment methods and payment-linked Treats rewards give salons ways to accept payment and encourage repeat business.
Pro: Growth combines unlimited products and CRM, staff commissions and named integrations for larger operations.
Con: Lite’s 25-product catalogue, monthly sales and staff limits, and lack of QashierPay card payments rule it out for many active salons.
Con: Essential caps CRM at 500 customers and store count at 9, which may force an upgrade as a business expands.
Con: Lite has email-only support; live chat, phone and WhatsApp support start with Essential.

Aesthatech is an alternative for teams seeking a paid service with a free trial and web/API access; its Solo plan is 49.00 USD per month.
Letstamp may suit operators focused on campaign tooling: its Platform plan costs 32.00 USD per month, covers 1 branch and 2 campaigns, and includes a 7-day free trial.

Cuppacard is a freemium alternative with a 10.00 GBP per month plan for up to 50 monthly active users and a first month free.

SalonHub360 is another freemium salon platform to compare.

Verdict

Choose Qashier if your Malaysian salon needs bookings, local payment acceptance, staff reporting and loyalty in a connected POS workflow. Its strongest case is breadth across day-to-day salon operations, with integrations and greater capacity on Growth. Look elsewhere if you need a genuinely usable free tier, or if the limits and paid-plan step-up do not suit the size of your operation.
