Overview

VEED brings AI video generation, editing, subtitles, and branding into a browser-based service, with Android and iOS apps for exporting on mobile. It suits creators and teams that want those steps in one workflow, particularly when subtitles or translated versions are part of the job. The trade-off is a free tier capped at 720p with a watermark, while the most useful export upgrades sit on paid plans.

Key features

Generation and editing

VEED can build a post-ready video from an idea, including captions and music, with pacing oriented toward a platform. That can shorten the path from concept to social video, while its editing tools cover cutting, joining, compression, background removal, text and audio editing, and conversion. The breadth favors teams consolidating common production tasks; anyone who specifically needs a desktop app should look elsewhere, since VEED is browser-based and has no desktop app.

Subtitles, branding, and collaboration

Subtitles and translation into more than 100 languages are handled within the platform, which is useful for adapting videos for different audiences without switching tools. Logos, colors, and fonts support consistent branding across recurring content. Enterprise collaboration features include shared workspaces, review mode, and comments and feedback, giving teams a way to keep review in the production workflow.

APIs and security

VEED’s developer APIs cover image-to-video generation, lip sync, subtitles, and background removal, making the product relevant to teams integrating video functions into their own products. VEED says data is encrypted in transit and at rest and stored on Google Cloud Platform infrastructure. It also says it complies with GDPR and the CPPA; European Standard Contractual Clauses are included in its data processing agreements for Enterprise customers. Security requirement enquiries are supported for Enterprise purchasers.

Pricing

VEED uses a freemium model, with paid pricing starting at $9/mo (annual). The free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and exports only at 720p, with a watermark on exported videos. That is enough to assess the workflow, but the resolution ceiling and branding make it a poor fit for polished client or published work.

Creator removes the watermark and allows exports up to 1080p, a practical step up for creators who need clean, standard-resolution output. Pro supports exports up to 4K, while Studio also supports 4K and is suited to small teams. Enterprise supports 4K and is aimed at organizations needing the full toolset and collaboration features. Apart from the starting price, plan prices are custom pricing; no seat counts, quotas, or renewal terms are established for these plans.

Platforms

VEED runs in a web browser and has Android and iOS apps; exports work on the web and in both mobile apps. Its browser-first setup suits teams that prefer not to install a desktop editor, but it is not a desktop-app option. The listed platform options also include an extension.

Who it's for

VEED is a strong fit for creators who want generation, editing, subtitles, translation, and branding together, and for teams that need shared review or APIs for embedding video capabilities into an existing product. It is less compelling for anyone whose priority is a watermark-free, higher-resolution free export, a desktop app, or a known per-seat team cost.

Pros and cons

Pros: Generation and common editing tools share one workflow, reducing the need to move between tools for routine video production.
Pros: Subtitles and translation into 100+ languages, alongside branding controls, support adapted and consistent video output.
Pros: APIs cover several practical video functions, and Enterprise includes collaboration features for review.
Cons: Free exports are limited to 720p and carry a watermark, restricting finished use without upgrading.
Cons: Creator stops at 1080p; 4K requires Pro or a higher tier.
Cons: VEED has no desktop app, and plan pricing beyond the starting price is custom pricing.

Alternatives

Consider Cloudinary when the priority is an API-oriented media platform: its free plan includes three users, one account, and 25 monthly credits. Choose MixCaptions when a mobile-first option for captions better fits the job; it supports Android, iOS, and macOS and offers minute-based plans. Canva Video is an alternative with a free tier that includes 5GB of cloud storage, 1.6M+ templates, and up to 20 Standard or Premium AI uses.

CapCut is worth considering for mobile-focused editing, with Android, iOS, macOS, web, and Windows support. For podcast-specific editing, EchoWave Podcast Editor offers free 720p exports, up to 60 minutes per video, and 24-hour video storage; audio-only exports are paid. InVideo AI is another web-based generation option, with a free plan whose weekly quota resets.

Kapwing is an alternative for teams working in a browser or on macOS and Windows; its free plan includes 10 credits, a four-minute export limit, and 720p. If the job is making mobile photo and video collages, Photo & Video Collage Editor is a focused alternative for Android and iOS, with five free exports.

For narrower needs, browse Video Collage Maker Software, Social Media Template Libraries, Video Editing Software, AI Video Lip Sync Tools, AI Podcast Editing Software, or AI Video Editing Software.

Verdict

Choose VEED if you want a browser-first video workflow that combines generation, editing, multilingual subtitles, branding, and team review, with APIs available for product integration. The main reason to look elsewhere is the free plan’s 720p watermark constraint; teams should also weigh the lack of a desktop app and custom pricing above the advertised starting price.
